Zoo vet Blane Winters’ grumpy attitude and muscles hide a romantic heart. He only relaxes when he’s around animals, since he likes them more than people. He has some friends, a good job, and a place of his own, and he’s sure that’s all he needs. Until he meets a certain incessantly cheerful artist.Studying meerkats as he paints a wedding present for his sister gives Falcon Harper the perfect … perfect excuse to creep on the hot vet. It takes his mind off the dreaded event: he’s happy for his sister, but his secret ex will be at the wedding… Spencer, who broke his heart years ago.
The solution is obvious: Blane can be Falcon’s plus-one and show Spencer that Falcon’s moved on to bigger, better things all these years later. But feelings grow as Falcon coaxes Blane out of his shell. Just as happiness seems within their grasp, jealousy threatens to tear it away for good.
Grasp is a standalone gay romance novel with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger. Book #3, Slick, is available now!

Great addition to the series!
Grasp is book 2 in the Significant Brothers series but can be read as a standalone with no problem. Greg Boudreaux did his normal fantastic job with this story; he doesn’t just read a book, he performs it. He does great, distinctive voices for each of the characters.
I loved both of the main characters right from the get-go. I enjoyed the setting of a zoo for much of the story. The MCs seemed to be smitten with each other right off the bat and that came through in E Davies writing and Greg’s performance.
I hope to continue on with this series.
A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.
Blane and Falcon made a marvelous couple. Their connection is quick but deep enough to hold them through the small rough patch. I loved that Blane instantly knew that what he found wasn’t fitting with Falcon’s character and I loved, even more, when Falcon went straight to fix things. These two acted like grownups and actually talked about their issues. Flacon’s family was hilarious, especially his Aunt Vera.
Recommended author and series
Audiobook: terrific narrator
Fake boyfriend story, with passion and a dreaded ex. Good story, well worth the read/listen.

Read these books a while ago so it was lovely to be able to listen to them.
The Significant Brothers are a group of school friends who are still in contact and meet up for monthly drinks, their group is expanding because of Significant others are now joining them.
That is apart from Blane, a Vet at the local zoo, he likes animals more than people these days and apparently that was showing on dates.
Falcon, an artist, who’s sister is getting married and wants a painting from him, he decides that a painting of animals might be the best way to go, so he heads to the zoo and starts at the Meerkats exhibition. He’s not looking forward to his sisters wedding as she had invited his secret ex to the wedding and was not looking forward to seeing spencer after he’d broken his heart.
This is a slow burn romance, that starts as fake boyfriends, the passion is there from the start but the dreaded ex tries to break them up and then creates problems, I wont give away any more than that. But rest assured we get our HEA.
A great read, the narrator was good and clear.
Book 2 in this series. Zoo Vet Blane’s story with his new love artist Falcon. We see the other significant brothers and get updates on Nico and Deen. Enjoying this series.
The second book in the Significant Brothers series features Blaine, the zoo vet who’s better with animals than humans, and Falcon, the artist who finally captures his attention and heart. E. Davies also played with the fake-relationship and coming-out tropes in a fun and interesting way. Falcon’s entire family knows that Falcon is gay, and no one has a problem with it. In fact, Falcon’s sister is a lesbian and getting married to her female fiancée. But Falcon has resisted officially coming out to his family, even though he knows there will be no drama or angst. Also, to make matters even more complicated, Blaine and Falcon decide to fake-date even though they are unofficially dating each other already. The only people Blaine and Falcon are fooling are themselves, but it’s still cute and adorable. There’s quite a bit of drama with Falcon’s ex-boyfriend, but the hurt/comfort scene that results because of that is sweet and tender. I had quite enjoyed this book.
I loved it!! Blane and Falcon are perfect for each other. Both are fed up with dates being little more than hook ups and guys only wanting sex from them. Add to that is Falcon’s douchebag ex making him think that he’s not good enough. I truly despise Spencer and would really love to see him get his payback. Normally just knowing he didn’t win would be enough but in Spencer’s case since he was really nasty I think it would be a great service to the characters and readers alike. Just a mention in another book would be great. This is a series to read. E. Davies has given a full cast of complex characters that you will easily fall in love with and relate to. I can’t wait for the next one. Wonder who will be next to fall in love.
