Granny Smith is Dead is a wonderful book. I loved it! The mystery is interesting and full of adventure and plot twists. I love the quirky characters! This book is entertaining and humorous.
Chelsea and Miss May are once again involved in murder. Am disliking Germany, such an odd character. The supposed attraction between Chelsea, Wayne and Germany are too contrived. This series needs a good editor

These books keep getting better and better. Absolutely loved this one. Chelsea Thomas has found a formula that works that keeps you not wanting to put the book down.
Keep up the good work

Chelsea and Miss May are involved in yet another murder. In this one the cranky Granny Smith is murdered.

This is another good read. I love the cute and quirky qualities of the characters. However, the whole Wayne, Chelsea and Germany triangle was becoming a bit much. I’m not sure why, but Wayne was not as likable as he was in the previous books. He just didn’t seem like a good fit for Chelsea. Germany has alway been one of my favorite characters. I feel like his qualities are endearing and Chelsea picked the right guy. I hope she doesn’t mess things up.

So much fun and amusing reading about the antics of these characters. I love Chelsea and Aunt May. The books in this series are all excellent and this one does not disappoint.

Another humorous write by Chelsea Thomas. This is book five in the series and it is as good as the rest of them. There is mystery and humor in the same sentence. Great reading.

Engaging Cozy Mystery!
The super-sleuths hunt for the killer of Dolores ‘Granny’ Smith in this latest cozy mystery. The quirky characters along with the Revolutionary War trivia adds suspense to their adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed this newest escapade. Enjoy!
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
Another adventure of orchard ladies and less than helpful police plus some friends. A murdered older lady and … The investigation is on. Well created story full of action and fun. Enjoyable.

Great book. I enjoyed the story from start to finish. It was well paced with realistic characters and the right amount of humor and suspense. Love it!

Another great installment in the Apple Orchard series. I enjoy these books because the stories are clever and the characters are always interesting. I especially like that even as Chelsea grows more confident, she still blurts things out without thinking and pours her heart out to See-Saw, the mini horse. Miss May and Teeny are, as always, funny and a little bit nuts.

Chelsea and Aunt Mae stumble across another murder, this time it is Granny Smith. There are many people who disliked Granny so there are lots of people to investigate to determine who the murderer is. Just when they think they are narrowing the search to the killer Granny Smiths’ son is also murdered so now they have another murder to solve. Chelsea has been in a love triangle with Wayne, the hot copy, and Germany, the kooky, socially awkward, pet friendly firefighter. Chelsea is sampling food the whole way through the investigation and there are recipes included at the end of the book. There is food, humor, intrigue, adventure, drama, mystery and a touch of romance! I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’ve fallen in love with Chelsea and Aunt May. This is the 5th in the series and the stories just keep getting better.Lovable characters, funny, and hard to guess endings. What more could you ask for in a cozy?
“Granny Smith is Dead” earns 5/5 Secret Tunnels…Engaging and Clever!
Chelsea Thomas (writing team Chelsea and Matthew Thomas) has penned a very entertaining five-book Apple Orchard Cozy Mystery series. Book five, “Granny Smith is Dead,” begins with a clever intro “The next murder I’m going to tell you about shocked everyone in Pine Grove….First, I need to introduce you to the victim. Here goes…” From there the authors used a first-person narrative from Chelsea Thomas’s perspective (Yes, the author has chosen their name as the main character like a journal or diary) to tell an engaging story of Dolores “Granny” Smith’s murder. With a delicious theme, vivid descriptions, endearing family dynamics, quirky characters, and dialogue illustrating personality and tone, readers can’t be surprised that an “old bat” like Granny Smith winds up dead. The town historian and librarian advertises her Pine Grove Historic Homes Tour and the secrets she plans to reveal about an important local family. How could it not go wrong! Tunnels. Documents. Traitors. Revolutionary era stories. Chelsea, her Aunt Mat, and BFF Teeny set out to uncover the truth. Well written with a good pace, fun chapter titles, some romantic entanglement, but not a lot of unnecessary falderal…just great entertainment. Oh, and the bonus recipes actually from the series make it a compelling, and delicious, book to have. Enjoy the introduction to each recipe for Apple Oaters, Hashbrown Lasagna, KP’s Candy Apples, Chelsea’s Cinnamon Buns, and Bodacious Berry Bake. If you sign up for “Thomas Tuesdays,” you’ll get Teeny’s Peanut Butter Caramel Dip along with exclusive giveaways and secret recipes as a thank you. I’m in!
They are at it again in the newest book in the Apple Orchard Murder Mystery Series. While looking to apologize to Granny Smith, the find her body instead. It falls to the dynamic zany team of Miss May, her niece Chelsea, and their friend, Teeny to investigate and solve the murder before the police do. Along with eclectic townsfolk to gather their clues.
This is a fun, funny and simply enjoyable cozy mystery. The characters are amazing and each is so unique that I marvel the the imagination it would take to develop them. The storyline weaves the various personalities, twist and turns to culminate in a surprise ending. The description of the setting is wonderfully done and adds a great deal of ambience. It has all the elements of a cozy mystery, great characters, humour, romance and of course a mystery to solve. If you like cosy mysteries you will enjoy this one.

This book is a great read, holds your attention from the first sentence. I wish I had read the first 4 books in the series but it didn’t affect the story line too much. Granny Smith is what some people call the “meanest old lady in town”. She’s the town historian, the town librarian, the town treasurer and she is ready to share some family secrets of the Brewster family. So she has definitely made some people in town upset, finding who killed her may not be easy but with Chelsea and her aunt Miss May on the case to get the answer. A nice cozy mystery with a good story line.

I really love this series and the characters, I always find the writing and story very good and how every chapter has a title. Can’t wait for more.

This is a series with quirky humorous characters. The mystery was well planned. I enjoyed the surprise ending and look forward to the next book to see what trouble the characters are going to get into.
Another fabulous read with Chelsea, Miss May and Teeny in competition with the Sheriff’s department in solving the death of Granny Smith. Could the culprit be Beverly Brewster who Granny is talking about for being a traitor or maybe the jealous ex-husband? There is another competition going on between Jeremy Turtle and Deputy Wayne! The sleuthing trio again keep the reader in humorous suspense as they fumble through their eating and investigating.
I’m enjoying this new cozy series! This time we have a murder in a tunnel below a historic house. The writing is fresh and skillful. The plot is tight and multi-layered, and the characters are well drawn and believable. It was an enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to future installments. I received this book free and chose to make a voluntary, unbiased review.
