Sticks and stones can break my bones, but wrinkles can actually kill me! Just when I think I understand life, the Universe flings a magic booger at me. It just doesn’t pay to think you’ve got a handle on things. For example, my favorite customer, Mrs. Foxladle, got into a simple disagreement with her book club friends over their obsession with youth and beauty. The next thing you know, they’re … and beauty. The next thing you know, they’re all dead.
Did Mrs. Foxladle kill them?
It certainly seems like a possibility. But I’m still holding on to the hope that I’m dealing with a rogue magical artifact in the hands of someone with diabolical intent.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to figure out what it is and who’s wielding it with deadly results.
I was counting on Detective Grym, a real rock of a guy, to help me find the culprits. But Grym’s lifespan just turned unpredictable. (You could say things are a bit rocky for him right now.) Which leaves solving the mystery up to me and my friends.
It’s just a really good thing I have a cat and a frog and… Yeah, about that… I’m really no closer to figuring out how to use them either.
Holy goblin phlegm!
This magic wrangling stuff is hard!

Naida tackles another artifact that should have come through official channels but didn’t. This time it’s personal. The third book in the Enchanting Inquiries series has it all, humor, mystery, quirky friends and a Keeper who doubts herself but still comes through every time. It held my interest right through the end, and the reveal surprised me. As with all Sam Cheever’s books, I enjoyed it and look forward to the next one.

This series is a joy to read! I live the quirky characters and how well they get along. Naida is a keeper of magical artifacts. When a group of elderly women wind up dead….. can naida and her friends stop it from happening again? I can’t wait for the next books!!

Mr. Wicked is my hero!
I fell in love with the cover it reminds me of one of my favorite kittens when I was a young girl so you just know I had to pick this arc up. Sam Cheever has written the most off the wall awesome characters for this piece I just wanted the story to go on and on. Cute one-liner awaits you in this gem and mystery too could you ask for more. If you like cozies with a touch of magic pick this critter up you will love it. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Magical Artifact keeper Naida has her hands full when a few of her customers belonging to a book club end up dead. With the help of her witch ghost friend, other magical friends, her cat and frog she figures out who is behind the deaths. Excellent read! I loved it! Naida is up against her most evil artifact person ever in this story. What started out as some kind of youth cream, is actually taking people completely back to embryo state! So far, Naida and Detective Grym know of three deaths. But before they can get answers from everyone, another death happens! Why wasn’t Naida told of this rogue artifact? Is there something wrong again with the universe? Then Detective Grym also gets sick. He touched some of the creams somehow and is getting younger. Can Naida save him? In this story, all the stops are pulled out to fight this evil person. And what a shock it is when you find out who this person is! I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Booksprout.
Gargoyles and Hobgoblins!
This is a fun paranormal cozy mystery that will keep you smiling. The plot is great and well done. There were some unexpected twists. The ending was funny and unexpected. Lots of characters from previous books show up in this tale. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
Nadia is a keeper of artifacts. She runs a bookstore which seems to be home to quite a few interesting characters. A cat named Wicked, a frog harboring a person, a hobgoblin and more. This is a rather involved story about searching for an unknown artifact that while making people younger actually takes them back to the pre-embryotic stage. There’s lots of action.
This is the first book I’ve read in this series and I feel that I missed a lot from the first two books. So I highly recommend reading this series in order.
Naida is still dealing with Sebille living in her apartment. She doesn’t know what to do about it. Detective Grym comes to her shop looking for her help at the scene. He believes that an artifact is responsible. Naida and Grym work hard to try to figure everything out. Then Naida gets news that Grym’s live is also at stake. She will try everything to get to the bottom of this.
On top of dealing with finding this artifact, Naida has to deal with cats disappearing, hobgoblins, Rustin and Mr. Slime. Also have to figure out where Sebille moved to.
Naida will need the help of everyone in this fight to get the person responsible for the murders, get the artifact and save Grym’s life.
I really enjoyed this story, all the different things going on in this book. I would love to see Naida and Grym go further in a relationship. Also getting Rustin out of the frog too.
I am looking forward to the next book in this series, to see what happens to Naida next.

Looking younger is not everything it is cracked up to be!!!! Moral of the story.
This series is getting complex!!!!! There is more going on, need to know your history, mythology, gods, etc… The keeper is still having to find artifacts but not being told to do so by the PTBs. What is happening with that. There are things happening at the store that are strange n- what is that. So much going on. The keeper has no magic but for artifacts? I think she has ore than she knows.
I admit that I love the pink tutus, the Potter reference, and the little beetle car (do not go). Hi Mr. Wicked!!! You too Mr. Slimy, especially now that you can….
I am left with lots of questions at the end. Will the Grym’s dna be affected by the plant magic since he is mineral? What is up with the owl? What about the SDA? Will they send help to teach her? HURRY NEED NEXT BOOK FOR ANSWERS!!!! PLEASE!!!
This book can possibly be read as a stand alone but I think you will enjoy it more if you have read the previous books. Each book grows upon the previous.
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an Arc book.
I loved Gram Croakies! I love this series. This is the third book in the series and I find that with each book I love them more. The magical world is so complex and interesting. This book is full of magic, adventure, intrigue, humour, suspense and amazing characters. There is a fun new character in this book as well as some new magical abilities. The book captured my attention from the beginning and kept me interested right to the end. I am excitedly awaiting the next book!
