Sticks and stones can break my bones, but wrinkles can actually kill me! Just when I think I understand life, the Universe flings a magic booger at me. It just doesn’t pay to think you’ve got a handle on things. For example, my favorite customer, Mrs. Foxladle, got into a simple disagreement with her book club friends over their obsession with youth and beauty. The next thing you know, they’re … and beauty. The next thing you know, they’re all dead.
Did Mrs. Foxladle kill them?
It certainly seems like a possibility. But I’m still holding on to the hope that I’m dealing with a rogue magical artifact in the hands of someone with diabolical intent.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to figure out what it is and who’s wielding it with deadly results.
I was counting on Detective Grym, a real rock of a guy, to help me find the culprits. But Grym’s lifespan just turned unpredictable. (You could say things are a bit rocky for him right now.) Which leaves solving the mystery up to me and my friends.
It’s just a really good thing I have a cat and a frog and… Yeah, about that… I’m really no closer to figuring out how to use them either.
Holy goblin phlegm!
This magic wrangling stuff is hard!

Book 4 of this series does not fail to delight, Naida is now on probation with multiple problems happening at once. Underlying all this magical mystery is the ability to see those that are way different creatures for what they are really and great working together.
A book club where everyone is turned into embryos, Grym being destroyed by some unknown thing, an evil artifact that has to be found, a new sidekick and so much more in this enchanting story
Another fun page turner! What a wild ride, once again created by Sam Cheever. All the characters had a part in this story and even have the characters from the Familiar series in this story! I love the cross-over…
Nadia is back doing what she does best and that is rounding up rogue artifacts and taking them to her shop for safe keeping. This time, she doesn’t exactly know what it is nor who has it. Some elderly women of a book club end up “dead” so Naida helps Grim hunt for the perp. However, when Grim gets some of the artifact magic on him it becomes more important for her to find the killer before he dies. I’ve loved the first three books and have to get the next book in the series so I can see what happens next in the lives of these wonderful characters!!! You should read this series starting with Book 1
I love this series. The characters are fun and the mysteries unpredictable. I’m so glad that there are more books coming!

Naida has her hands full with rogue enchanted artifacts when she’s called to a murder scene where the victims were pretty much erased from existence. Now she has to figure out just what magical artifact is involved and who is using it to save Grymm’s life.
I really enjoy this series and this book is no exception. It pulled me in from the beginning and kept me hooked. It’s one of those books that lets you escape to another world full of mysterious beings. I highly recommend both the book and the series which I suggest you read in order.
Quirky characters, fun to read story lines and a series that’s truly enjoyable. The perfect combo of mystery, suspense, drama and murder. You won’t be disappointed add this series to your reading list.

Gram Croakies is a wonderful story of magical mayhem and a menagerie of magical creatures. The main character, Naida Griffith, is the keeper of magical artifacts. When several members of a book club turn up missing, she is called in to check for a magical artifact. When missing turns into murdered, Naida will need to use all her skills to find the murderer and the artifact that is being used. Time is of the essence when the local detective, Grym, who himself is a magical being, seems to have gotten into whatever substance has caused the death of the book club members and starts to get sick himself. Naida with the help of her magical friends do everything they can to find a cure, while dealing with magical mayhem. This story is such a refreshing change from most and actually reminded me a bit of the Warehouse 13 tv show with all the magical artifacts causing mayhem. The characters were fun to follow and get to know. The creativeness of the method of murder was a great surprise and very unique. It was a most enjoyable read and I look forward to reading more about Naida and her magical friends.

I love the characters of Sam’s books! A feisty frog and sassy cat along with ghost witch and humans!!! Lots of fun reading anything by Sam Cheever and Gram Croakies is no exception!
I reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Gram Croakies is another action packed magical mystery by Sam Cheever. Her vivid descriptions of people, places and the unexplainable has you feeling like you are right alongside our heroes.
Naida, Keeper of Artifacts (magical). Her job is to keep these dangerous magical objects safe and out of of the hands of the supernormal community. Being untrained, she kind of figures it out as she goes.
Five ladies have disappeared from a local book club and her favorite customer could be a suspect.
Detective Wise Grym is sick and will die if Nadia can’t figure out what’s happening and stop it in time.
Dangerous artifacts are somehow escaping from the Toxic Artifact Vault.
Get ready as Nadia and her friends, Sebille her sprite friend, Wicked her magical kitten, and Slimy her enchanted frog, along with all her other magical friends try to find out what happened to the book club, save Grym and rounding up dangerous artifacts. Definitely a five-star fun read.

Naida, Keeper of Artifacts, has a lot on her plate in this book, the most pressing issue being the death of all but two of the women of the local book club.
Detective Grym is calling Naida in, as these elderly ladies have returned to their embryonic state before they died. As if looking for the artifact that has caused this problem would not be enough, Croakies is infested by a hobgoblin – a little prankster- who wreaks havoc in her shop by releasing artifacts from their containment. When Grym becomes seriously sick, Naida must step up her game.
A wonderful read – until now my favorite story of the series. Naida learns more about herself, about her familiar and about some of her friends, while she is struggling with her challenges as Keeper.

Mayhem and murder has targeted the book club. And now Grym is infected, Naida with the help of her friends set out to find and capture the culprit. This was a cute story. This book contains all kinds of paranormal creatures working together for a common goal. Would I read more of this story? Yes!!!!!!!!!!! I found it to be similar to other cozies in some aspects, but different in others. I would recommend reading in order though. I did not read book one and was a little lost in the beginning.
