A chance encounter at the beach causes sparks to fly…
Emma Winsor is in her final year of college, choreographing a dance number for her final, and applying to dance schools in New York. Her father drags her to the beach for a Newport Beach Seagulls’ event, something he’s done with her since the team was first created in 1993. In fact, he’s had season tickets for the same amount of time, and … for the same amount of time, and since Emma’s mother left them when Emma was three, she has been her father’s date ever since.
Kyle Underwood is a first line right winger for the Newport Beach Seagulls. He’s an instigator on the ice, the type of player who rubs his mouth, gets under the skin; the kind of player who is hated unless on the team. He’s happy being single, dating around, and focusing on his passion: hockey. Up until he decides to talk to Emma Winsor, daughter of one of the Gulls’ season ticket holders. He thinks she’ll be like every other puck bunny who attends these fan events but she doesn’t even know his name.
She’s different. He has to have her.
Will Emma take a chance on a notorious bachelor hockey player? Can Kyle convince her that he’s just as different as he is?

Grace on the Rock is the second book in the Prequel for Slapshot series. These stories in the series are written in the same time frame of events happening just from different POV. It adds to the dept of the over all story.
Grace on the Rock is deep with relationships. The main one Is Emma and her dad, Jeremy. They both have busy lifes but make it appoint to spend time together at the hockey games. It is such an important time for both of them that even their friends know nothing will come between it.
Then there is Emma and Kyle’s relationship ship. This a great one as they are real to each other with no games or tricks just who they are and what they are thinking.
This a book just adds more to the over all story given you more insight of things that happen and has you falling in love with the each character.

Emma is in her final year of college and Kyle is a hockey player for the Newport Beach Seagulls. I like these two for each other and I enjoyed reading their story. The characters are well developed and the story is well written. Great addition to the Slapshot series.
Emma Winsor is her final year of college and applying to dance schools in New York. For her final, Emma is choreographing a dance number and has no time for men. Emma’s father has been a long time season ticket holder and donor for the Newport Beach Seagulls. Emma meets Kyle Underwood at a fan function her father takes her to. Kyle is the right winger on the first line for the Newport Beach Seagulls whose has the ability to get under opposing player’s skin. Kyle loves being single and playing field until he lays eyes on Emma. Can Kyle convince Emma to trust him? Can Emma get over her fears of abandonment and take a chance on Kyle? I really enjoyed Grace on the Rocks by Heather C Myers. I would definitely recommend getting Grace on the Rocks and the other book in the Slapshot Prequel Trilogy by Heather C Myers.

Excellent and entertaining hockey romance. Emma is very focused on dance and finishing college this year. After that her dream is to getting into a prestigious college if not she has other ideas. Kyle loves the game of hockey now as much as he did when he first started playing. Neither is looking for a romantic relationship. Ms Myers brings her characters to life so you feel you’re there with them. I received a complementary copy of this book via Booksprout and chose to write this review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Myers.
Emma and Kyle are friends who eventually realize that being together is what they want. Emma is a Gulls fan and Kyle a hockey player. They met on the beach, had one date and hung out. When Kyle saw her at a game with her cousin and some guy staring at her he got jealous. So happy these two got together.
Heather C. Myers gives us another kick ass hockey romance story with a great storyline; really believable characters; drama, hockey, all the feels; and a HEA. The story was well written and the characters so well developed. I definitely recommend this book and author. Happy reading!
I love that this is a prequel so we can get a glimpse of what happened before the full story. It captures your attention and it’s intriguing. It’s Emma and Kyle’s beginning told from a different point of view than you would normally be used to. For anyone who may have read the regular Slapshot series, it’s a great way to see how Emma and Kyle started.

I enjoyed reading about the beginnings of Emma and Kyle’s relationship. I liked that Emma started going to hockey games as something with her father.

This is the second prelude that has been released for this series and it is more Emma and Kyle’s story than anything There is a lot of overlap with the first prelude Blood on the Rocks and even with the third prelude Charm on the rocks Maybe the three need to be combines without the overlap’s and made into one prelude book
Emma is in her final year of college busy choreographing a dance number for her final project and applying to dance schools in New York. Her father has been dragging her to hockey games and the events that the team puts on. Emma also has her eyes on a certain hockey player. Kyle Underwood is a first line right winger for the Newport Beach Seagulls. When he finally gets the courage to talk to Emma he assumes that she is like everybody else but he finds out that she is different than the other. Will Emma break Kyle’s bachelor ways and show him that there is more to life and how he see’s relationships as a whole.

This is the second prequel in the Trilogy for the Slapshot series. This is Emma’s and Kyke’s story. These two characters are both known and judged by their behaviours and jobs, no one really has given either of them to show what is inside. Until Kyle sees Emma as being more and works to convince her to give him a chance. For Emma, was it worth the chance? For Kyle, was it worth the work? A really good short story that u folds more of these two characters and the Newport Beach Seagull hockey team. Enjoy!

Honestly, I was expecting a bit more from this book. I felt as if I was left wanting more and instead of reading new and exciting parts of the story, I just felt as if we were backtracking to the first of the series.

The second book in the Slapshot Prequel Trilogy series another great book in this series. This is Emma Winsor and first line right winger for the Newport Beach Seagulls Kyle Underwood’s story. I want to read the next book. They make a great couple.
I enjoyed this quick backstory book for Grace. It is still only a read I would recommend to fans of this series or those that are serious about reading it because other than that I don’t feel it will hold much appeal to a random reader. This is my candid, volitional review.
Some readers may think this is just a partial recap of the first book (Blood on the Rocks), and in a way some of it is but this book is from the fan ‘s point of view whereas book 1 was from the primary character’s point of view and much more emotional and focused on the murder and it’s aftermath.
Emma and her father are season ticket holders. She meets Kyle Underwood at a beach cookout charity event for the team. At one of the preseason games he hands her his stick with a date request written on it. On the date they decide to just be friends. At a later game Kyle is upset because she is with another man (her cousin) and her friend Vince is a few rows back crushing on her. She meets him at his house where he admits to being jealous and they decide to have a relationship.
