Grace is the only girl in this all male, all gorgeous family. She, however, does not allow the brother to overshadow her and has her own strong position in this family! Love the story!
I loved Grace from beginning to end. When Grace comes home it’s for a couple of reasons. His brother just got engaged. She missed her family. The funniest was when she met Chase.
He had just bought the local feed store. Upon entering she ran into a dog. Her brother DJ and Finn tried to tell her who he was. She wasn’t listening. Soon she figured it out. Not to happy.
Chase has no idea what is going on.
As Grace and Chase start spending time together there’s a spark there. Maybe it’s Gray the dog. Aunt Eileen believes it is.
Buy the book. You will absolutely love it.
YES!!! If you have never read a Chris Keniston book, go ahead and start with this one. It isn’t exactly a standalone but you can pick up the others once you are hooked.
With every Chris Keniston book I read, I say this is it; this is the best book and that holds true of her newest release, Grace. I adore all of the Faradays and all of the new and future in-laws! Ms Keniston writes exactly the kind of people that I can relate to even though their lives are distinctly different from mine. I appreciate that her characters have high standards in work and life. I love the town that CK builds with only a few words and makes us fall in love with through the people we meet there. I am amazed at how, with only a few words, she can pull me into the daily lives of this family that I have come to love.
The newest couple is of course the younger sister Grace who has just finished college and is aiming to pass the bar and head to the big time, maybe even New York. The new guy in town, Chase, has left the crowded world of big business and New York to slow down and enjoy the people around him. There are so many trite ways to handle this conflict in dreams that I wasn’t sure even Chris Keniston could managed to navigate the story without falling into at least one of the pitfalls. I should have more faith in her writing; she always presents a fresh twist on life and love.
Their fall into love happens very quickly but two thing make it work for me, 1) they are both strong people with enough experience to recognize what they want, 2) the dog! Who can argue with a phantom, matchmaking dog? I can not believe anyone is still betting against Gray!
Grace Farraday is the only girl in the family. She is studying law & getting ready to sit for the bar exam. Chase Prescott had it made. He was a successful businessman in New York City. After his father passed away, he decided to change his life & move to a place where things were simpler & kinder. He know owns the local grain & feed store. The Farraday’s were the previous owners’ best customers. Chase has been befriended by a large grey dog. A chance encounter between the dog, Grace & Chase and the betting is on! Will they become involved? Will the dog’s matchmaking streak remain intact?
I love this series! Chris Keniston has created a cast of characters & a town of supporters that are becoming dear to all of us. I love reading about the newest couple but also receiving updates on the lives of the others matched up. The chemistry between the couple is intense. As Grace struggles to decide where she wants her career to lead her, she struggles to understand why Chase would give it all up. I really can’t wait for the next one!
