You may find some of your favorite characters from Cat’s Gilbert Girls series making an appearance in Confused in Colorado. Loving this series… Very good read
Grace has traveled far to meet he husband to be, only to find him married already. Now with little money and no where to go, she has to make some choices.
This is a heartwarming historical romance filled with wonderful characters and drama. The characters seem to pop off the page with their well crafted personalities and their flaw. The character interaction is great, I loved the tender moments and the dramatic scenes. The characters must overcome their past commitments and present dangers in order for them to have any chance to be together. The storyline flows quickly and smoothly filled with twists and turns, danger and suspense. I loved how this story came alive for me and I could not put it down once I started to read it. If you love historical romances from the West, you will enjoy this book.
This is the third book that I’ve read in The Lovelorn series and the best so far. Really enjoyed the characters and sweet romance that developed along the way. With just enough suspense to pull the reader through to the end, it’s a winner!
I truly enjoyed this book. It was compelling and kept my interest throughout.
After heading west to become a mail order bride disaster strikes, Grace is not sure what to do! Her groom has chosen and married another. What do you do in a situation like that! She is left alone at the train station.
Enter Jasper Hill. She is rescued more than once by him through the book.
I love the development of the characters and the story line. It is entertaining and fresh.
I highly recommend this book.
I wouldn’t known what to do if I was Grace after she traveled to Colorado to marry a man only to find out he had already married someone else. I certainly wouldn’t have lasted at the dress shop with the awful owner who didn’t allow breaks and put all his employees down. I hope she hires some of his seamstresses away. Jasper was a fool to believe that the superficial lady he had been courting would wait for him. She would have expected more from him than he could afford and wouldn’t have wanted to work in his mercantile with his family. The mystery of the note in the shirt pocket Grace finds takes up much of the rest of the story and adds to the suspense as she is followed and threatened. Grace and Jasper were rather foolish in their actions many times in this book. This was a clean historical western mail order bride romantic mystery.
Beautiful mail order bride story. What do you do when you find yourself far from home and the man you were supposed to marry is married to someone else? Jasper Hill and his mother find Grace at the train station confused. When she tells them of her intended they inform her of his recent marriage to someone else just 3 days prior. They help her with her bags and take her to a nearby boarding house. She buckles down and looks for work. She has sewing skills that will benefit others. Come along this journey filled with hope amidst despair, faith and love even during trials, and good versus evil. I highly recommend it! Happy Reading!

The author has written a beautiful heart warming story of disappointment and heart ache that turns to happiness and joy. This is the story of Grace Daniels and Jasper Hill, both of whom have been disappointed and let down by their intended mates. The character development is excellent and the story has lots of action including danger, uncertainty, mystery, drama, fear, and romance. Be sure to read this story to see if Grace and Jasper reach a HEA. I really enjoyed this Book #5 in The Lovelorn series and highly recommend it. It is the type of story that will keep you turning the pages until you have finished the book.
ONE SENSATIONAL JOURNEY!!!
Brilliant! Cat flat brought it with this artfully composed piece of perfection, laying out one killer storyline and gripping plot, keeping you riveted and frozen to your seat, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Blurred lines and crossed boundaries, strengths are weighed and balanced, throwing this gem into the eye of the storm, breaking it down, kicking it into a frenzy with a life-altering culmination. Shenanigans, escapades and mayhem rule the roost displaying the drama, underlying threats, intrigue, danger, electrifying suspense and unnerving situations, along with a double dose of moxie and intellect while dodging sinister intents, you have one intoxicating masterpiece. Unsettling mishaps and surprising happenstance swirl with the formidable trials and taxing tribulations, spinning alongside the deadly twists and wicked turns, putting our characters through their paces, testing them in ways they could have never imagined. The attraction and chemistry builds as each layer is peeled back exposing an undeniable connection, tying them to one another beautifully. The characters, banter, dialogue, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow, transforming into genuinely charismatic personalities. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive you have no trouble picturing each scenario as they play off one another perfectly. Remarkable job Cat, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.

This is a well written book that hooks you on the first page. This is not the typical mail-order bride story. It has action, drama, and romance. This book will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC copy of this book and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
I enjoyed reading this story by Cat Cahill. It definitely wasn’t a usual mail order bride book even though Grace started out as one. Jasper and Grace gradually fall in love despite the unknown danger from the note Grace found. I definitely recommend this one.
I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
This is the first in this series that I had read and I thought it was a fun idea using a letter written to a newspaper to set up the title and how the characters find love. I liked that there was a mystery that Grace and Jasper had to solve. There was a lot of suspense in this book as they tried to figure out who was after Grace and who wrote the note she found. I liked how they fell in love over time. I did like this book and would be willing to read other books in this series.
I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.
