The galaxy has broken her in a way only I can fix.
I had thought my quest was at an end.
I waited for death.
But it was not to be.
he found me. And nursed me back.
Her name was Uri Hawk.
And I could see her broken smile.
Her sad gaze as she touched my scales.
I could sense her grief.
I determined right then that I would help this deeply traumatized woman.
I could do some good.
Even if it was … woman.
I could do some good.
Even if it was just for one person out of trillions in the galaxy.
I made her mine. And she made me hers.
So when the war came for us, as it does for everyone, we were ready.
Our love was our shield.
Our hope was our spear.
And then I saw.
A smile. Flicker over her face as she looked at me.
A sparkle in her eyes.
And I knew.
That the man who had set out to bring peace to the galaxy.
Had at last found it in himself.
Gorn is the fifth book in the Brides to Beasts series inside of the Athenaverse. It can be read as a standalone, but it still shares the same universe and characters that you’ve found in other books. This book features a romance of an alpha male alien warrior, and a human woman. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and HEA guaranteed

I absolutely enjoyed reading this fascinating, action-packed Sci-Fi alien romance & it can be read as a standalone. The well-written, adventurous plot holds the reader’s attention until the end. The characters are well-developed & interesting with opposing personalities & slightly confrontational attitudes. The story covers two individuals, a Vakutan General (Genopause aka Gorn) on the run & who manages to crash on a planet (Jwoon II) where a young human female (Uri Hawk) is mourning the loss of her twin brother (Jey).
There is: a devious corporate alliance, various kinds of aliens, mercenaries, adventure, action, intrigue, twists & turns, suspense, drama, confrontations, devious plans, threats, danger, enemies, defiance, violence, alliances, deadly confrontations, death, injuries, determination, attractions, compromises, decisions, declarations, love, contentment, steamy scenes & a satisfying conclusion.
Super book
Well worth reading!
Exciting and entertaining, this is a read that is fun and tells a great story. Uri and Gorn an unexpected/unlikely pair but they really are a great couple. This is a story of redemption and the journey to it. This is a sweet read but action filled read.

Gorn is a Vakutan general, now a fugitive who crashes onto Jwoon III. Uri Hawk is in mourning there over her deceased twin brother and is just waiting out her time to die. Gorn sees her broken condition and determines he will help her through her trauma. Through his care and kindness, he finds his own redemption in putting himself out for another, and he and Uri begin to fall in love. By the time the war catches up to them, the two are ready to fight the evil, greedy AMD corporation together, and maybe even help to bring peace to the galaxy as he had intended!
The book was enjoyable, with a good story line, good pacing, and a visit from lots of other characters we have met along the way in the Athenaverse. The chemistry between Gorn and Uri is sizzling and the change in the two of them will keep the reader smiling. Grab your copy and enjoy!

AS WITH ALL RACES, WE ALL BEGAN FROM ONE

Gorn, a Vakutan general who went off the rails with a plan for peace is now a fugitive and he crashlands on Jwoon III. Uri is a celloist who has gone to Jwoon III to mourn the loss of her twin brother and escape platitudes and condolences concerning his death. Their plights are similar as they have both retreated in their own ways to suffer their grief. Enter evil aliens and the story takes off to involve peaceful people and zealots. Finding the truth about themselves is the jewel of the story.
This is a super sci-fi romance! I liked it! It is full of adventure and romance, danger and emotion. Really enjoyed it!

What a fantastic book this is. Gorn is wanted by most of the Galaxy and is being pursued by many people, he manages to evade capture by launching himself from his dying ship onto a planet. He sustains some injuries and is found by Uri. Although injured, he manages to save Uri from the evil Baragon. That’s where this crazy tale begins, there’s so much fast moving action, l actually had to go back to reread chapters to make sure l hadn’t missed anything. Vyker, Maru and so many others are on the planet that in the end they form an alliance to defeat the enemy. A not to be missed story that grips you from the beginning.
