From bestselling author, Lisa Shelby comes a romance about breaking the rules and following your heart. Olivia Adams is smart, independent and firmly believes less, is most definitely, more. Nothing about Ronan McKinley and his luxurious yachts and expensive homes appeals to her, but there is no denying the attraction between them. When Ronan makes her a job offer she can’t refuse, Olivia makes … Ronan makes her a job offer she can’t refuse, Olivia makes it clear she has no intention of anything more than a professional relationship with this man whose lifestyle is anything but “less”.
But what happens when Olivia slowly discovers Ronan is much more than she ever could have imagined?
What if she fills Ronan’s cold, gray life with warmth and color?
Is it possible that these two people, from vastly different worlds, are actually meant to be?

Five gorgeous stars! This is one of the best Office Romances I have read. I highly recommend it!
“My moon is your moon, baby.”
Wow! Gorgeous by Lisa Shelby is a delicious and all-consuming book that left me with a big “O” on my mouth. I am still catching my breath because this book left me wanting more. Holy cow! This book is a unicorn. It is well developed, the storyline is refreshing and the characters feel so real.
Lisa Shelby delivered a stunning story out of cliché. It’s unpredictable, haunting and too addictive. This book is so good for its own good. I love everything about it. The plot is highly addictive. Once you start reading it, you won’t be able to put it down until you finish it. This is a bookish pleasure with capital letters. Lisa’s writing is clear and elegant. She is a talented lady who promises wonderful books. Her characters are something else. All about this book is amazingly brilliant.
I really love that the heroine, aka Olivia, is a strong independent woman who knows what she really wants. She is not a damsel in distress. She doesn’t need a knight in shining armour because she is capable of saving herself. Life has not been easy for her but she is a survivor and a fighter. She will be tempted by the powerful attraction she is feeling for her new boss. How can she survive him if he is making it hard for her?
Olivia will set the rules of the game but Ronan will break each of them because what they have is more than just lust. This is not the typical cliché of an employee falling for her boss. It is something deeper that leads them to give in to their most intimate desires.
Ronan won my heart with his cocky attitude. If he was my boss, I would’ve fallen for him. A man like him is hard to resist. He is handsome, wealthy and possessive. Behind his CEO personality is a tender and dedicated lover. Meeting Olive will change radically his world. He will protect the sassy woman who he knows she can take care of herself. She is not like any other woman. She is the one and he will put the world to her feet.
If you are keen on reading office romances, this book is perfect for you. Gorgeous is a passionate read that you shall not miss. Lisa has the talent to take you deep in the story with each written word. Lisa’s writing seduces you immediately. The story that she created is beautifully delicious and is a huge pleasure for any reader who enjoys a well developed book. It has all the elements to make it an oeuvre d’art. Gorgeous is a piece of paradise created by gifted writer and wrapped in an elegant cover.
Caution: this book ends with a big cliff-hanger. I can’t wait to read the following book in the duet.
I had to buy book 2 as soon as I finished!
The reason I gave this 4 stars is because there were times when the author was overly wordy and I found myself skimming through to the meat of the book. Other than that I loved it.
Immediately bought book 2. Loved it and just couldn’t put it down. Great reading while we’re hanging at home.
Loved so much I ended up getting book two. Great read and great story line.
I had my predictions but it turned out differently. Impressed.
This is my first book by this author and if all her books are as good as this one she has a new fan. I loved this book. It is funny, well written, sexy and all in all a great book. I can’t wait to start book 2 so I can know what is going on!! I highly recommend this book to everyone.
“I’ll share my moon with you anytime”
Ronan and Olivia are a super sweet couple! She didn’t want to be with him. She knew that he could become too important to her. But he offered her a job and she could not refuse what he was offering. Now that he was so close to her, all he wanted was to be with her. She was set on keeping it professional. Once she finally gave in, all bets were off….. except she wanted to keep it a secret so she wasn’t know as the girl that slept her way into the job. She has her reasons on why she didnt want to become emotionally attached to anyone. Ronan knew these. Through the whole story I was waiting for the other shoe to drop…. and it did….. at the very end followed by a “to be continued”…. so now I can not wait until part 2 comes out!!! I felt like some one punched me in the gut! And my mind is still totally blown because, though I was waiting for the other shoe to drop, I was NOT expecting that!
I was so into this book. Both Ronan and Olivia were characters that I am attached to. I needed to know their story, I wanted to know what was going to happen to them, and they HAD to end up together. There is no doubt in my mind that they belong together. They are perfect for each other, they understand each, push each other to be their best, and give each other the space that they require.
In Gorgeous there are stories within stories. Olivia’s past is a great sub-story. Learning of her childhood made her adult life make sense. You could see what she was reluctant to rely on anyone else, why she was so closed in, and why she was afraid to open herself up. Ronan’s past is explained much earlier in the story with the introduction of his father. Just meeting Ronan’s father made me thankful that Ronan had a nanny and uncle to love and nurture him when his own parents were not willing to do so.
This is a 2 book series. Book one ended with my mouth hanging open and me being anxious for the next book to be released. Luckily they are being released only a few weeks apart so I will learn the rest of their story soon.
Lisa Shelby is a new author to me and I will be making time to go back and read her other books. I definitely recommend picking up your own copy of Gorgeous: Book One ASAP.
A great book and fantastic read that flowed smoothly and was very well written. I found this book sexy, exciting, and interesting. I was glad to have a snow day because I couldn’t put it down. I love a good romance and this delivered from the first page to the last…Then a cliffhanger….I look forward to reading more about this couple. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend.
Living your truth can be lonely. I really loved this story of acceptance, learning to trust and giving and accepting love. Their was something really authentic about these characters that i think a part of all of us longs for. The willingness of our partner to give unconditionally and be willing to accept the best that we can do. Day by day, month by month but to choose us.
I love Eric’s grandfather and the side story about him was really special. Avery’s mom is wonderful an i would love to see all the family meet at some point in the future. i loved seeing the previous characters in the series appear in this story. I love this group of friends.
Avery and Eric are combustible, intense, steamy in all the best ways. Both men have been betrayed, used and often not appreciated. I loved that they found this amazing connection and were willing to give each other the space to be themselves.
This is book three of the Femme Fox series and i think it is my favorite. These can be read as stand-alone stories, however i do recommend each of them for your reading pleasure.
I was gifted this book from the author and i freely give my honest opinion and review.
Love Gorgeous One and Two. Love Ronan and Olivia
Not what I expected for an “ending.”
