Goody Two-Shoes is a sweet, steamy novella. It is the third in the Juniper Creek series but can be read as a standalone. It features a strong, curvy heroine and the man who wins her heart.CharlotteI’ve always been a good girl. I stayed out of trouble, was the salutatorian of my class, and was even accepted into my father’s alma mater. But it was never enough to get my parents’ attention. In fact, … get my parents’ attention.
In fact, when they leave for the summer after my graduation, my best option is to stay with an old family friend and his surprisingly attractive son.
Before embarking on the life they have planned for me, I might as well have fun.
Tank Roberts is sexy, experienced, and sees something in me that no one else has.
When it comes down to it, do I keep trying to fulfill my parents’ expectations or do I go after the life I really want?
Tank
I didn’t always dream of being a small business owner, but I’m content with my life.
At least, until I lay eyes on Charlotte Lowry.
Juniper Creek isn’t big enough for the both of us.
She’s young, curvy, temptation incarnate, and living in my house.
Charlotte has every opportunity, and I’m going to make sure she doesn’t waste them.
Even though I don’t want to ruin her future, if I have anything to say about it, she’s going to be a part of mine.

Charlotte as an 18 year old who had led a very sheltered life until her parents sent her to live with her dad’s friend for 2 weeks before college started because they were in Europe. Her father’s friend dropped her off at his son Tank’s bar/bowling alley. When Tank was younger he had gotten into trouble with drugs but now at 28 he was clean and a business owner. Tank realizes his father won’t be returning soon so he will have Charlotte staying with him and she helps him waitress and clean up the first day. Charlotte knows computer programming and sets up a website for Tank’s business. Tank realizes that he wants Charlotte but he wants what is best for her so he doesn’t say anything. Charlotte also realizes she wants Tank. Will Tank continue to resist Charlotte? Will Charlotte act on her growing feelings for Tank?
I loved reading this short instalove story. The characters had very different backgrounds that the author described well and you could see them come together. I especially loved the epilogue to see how everything turned out.
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my review.
Not all of us can necessarily identify with the woes of Charlotte, but perhaps thinking on it further, we can. Having expectations put upon us by family and not taking into account your true self. Up to this point, Charlotte has just gone along with things but no more. Now she will be doing what feels right for her and damn the consequences! It’s in this tiny town that she finds all she’s ever wanted and so much more. Of course it doesn’t hurt that she meets up with hunky Tank, owner of the local bowling alley. He has no idea how to handle the fact that she will be living in his house until she goes off to college.
Appreciate the fact that Charlotte found her way without hurting others along the way. Only thing missing for me was I would have liked to hear how her parents reacted to this new, independent Charlotte. Overall, a very satisfying read.
I received an advanced reader copy from the author in exchange for my volunteer review.
Charlotte was sent to Juniper Creek because her father thought her less than responsible enough to get herself to college without assistance. Charlotte just wanted to be loved by her family but was never given the chance she figures if she does what her father wants he will show her love, but then she meets Tank again after 13 years after their last visit with her parents. Tank grew to a find man and his father Lonnie is a very different story. Cute short story, a woman finding herself through love, steamy and interesting twist. I was given an ARC as a gift from the author without obligations. I am providing an honest review.
This is the book I have been waiting on because I knew that big quiet man behind the bar that we have met so many times in the “A Curvy Girl Romance” series and then the three books in this series…had a story to be told. I just have to say, I love him!
Charlotte is looking for something that has been missing from her life up to the point that she is shipped off for the summer to a place that she hasn’t been in quite some time. Tank is working his way through life and doing what needs to be done since he has had to grow up pretty much on his own even though his real family is not far away. We get to watch the chemistry and the budding romance over the course of the book but what we find is…your family is what you make it. They may not be blood but they have your back no matter what and they always want something that is better for you.
I am sad to see that there is not another book but I seriously hope this is not the end of Juniper Creek and all of the people we have met this far.
