Share this timeless classic with a new generation of readers! In a great green room, tucked away in bed, is a little bunny. “Goodnight room, goodnight moon.” And to all the familiar things in the softly lit room—to the picture of the three little bears sitting on chairs, to the clocks and his socks, to the mittens and the kittens, to everything one by one—the little bunny says goodnight. In this … goodnight.
In this classic of children’s literature, beloved by generations of readers and listeners, the quiet poetry of the words and the gentle, lulling illustrations combine to make a perfect book for the end of the day.

This picture book was such a delight. I hadn’t remembered reading it when I was a child, but it might have been read to me… either way, it was like a whole new experience! It’s always so difficult to convince a child to fall asleep at night. I don’t have kids, but I do have a 5-month-old puppy who whines for 5 minutes every night when he goes in his cage/crate (hopefully he’ll be fully housebroken soon so he can roam around when he wants). I can only imagine! I babysat a lot as a teenager and I have tons of younger cousins, nieces, and nephews, so I’ve been through it before, too. This was a believable experience, and it really helps show kids how to relax and just let go when it’s time to sleep.
The bunny’s are adorable. The rhymes are exquisite. I found it pretty fun, but possibly a little dated given many of those things aren’t normal routines anymore. But the lessons to take from it are still powerful. Loved it! I want to sample some more books by this fine author and her illustrators.
Gentle, calming story of a bedtime ritual of saying “goodnight” to everything in the room. Best read with child on your lap as you quietly point and share each page and picture.
I fell asleep to it every night <3
My toddler picks the books she wants to read at bed time. This is a favorite of hers! Such a good book to transition from getting ready for bed and going to sleep.
This book is a wonderful children’s book that my grandchildren lived. I buy it for a gift for all baby showers.
A Classic!
read with my grandson and he loved it. Perfect for 2-7 year olds.
A. USF for baby’s and small children
Sweet, soothing, nostalgic–a lovely bed-time book.
Goodnight Moon – Margaret Wise Brown – I wonder how many babies have had this read to them over the years? It’s a classic for a reason, and it’s still sweet! Happy Reading!
Great children’s book
Perfect snuggle-down bedtime book to read to your kid/s. A classic.
Love the illustrations and the way they gradually get darker as you turn the page. I read this to my son so many times, I could tell it by heart at one time. It didn’t matter how many times he heard it, he wanted it read to him, every night. I had to tape it together before he outgrew it. When he had children, I gave him his own brand new copy to wear out reading to his children.
It is my favorite gift to all new mothers, too.
Classic children’s book. Love it every time I read it.
One of the best children’s books ever! Very calming story about a room that is growing darker and darker by the page, and we focus on the items in. the room, while the bunny is getting to sleep…by the end you and your child want to go to sleep. LOVE THIS BOOK. Every child needs to have it…they will ask for it over and over and over again.
Great kid’s book. We read this story to our kids and now to our grandkids.

Grandchildren loved me reading it to them before nap time.
