Marrying a stranger tops the list of things you should never do in Las Vegas, but I did it anyway. The entire night was my idea. I was the one who suggested a wake-up-with-a-tiger kind of night. Instead, I woke up with a ring on my finger and Vince Rossi in my bed.Vince, who was nothing like I thought he was and everything I never knew I needed.Suddenly I was falling head-over-heels in love with … was falling head-over-heels in love with my accidental husband and the idea of ending this union was the last thing I wanted.
I wanted forever.
So what if we barely knew each other? Statistically speaking, our odds were as good as anyone’s.
Until the annulment papers landed on my doorstep…

Payton is a heroine like no other. You get a glimpse of her personality in Good Girl but I had no idea how quirky she would turn out to be! Her use of words and language had me hanging on to her every ridiculous sentence.
I also had no idea how multifaceted Vince would turn out to be; I mean, the only thing I knew about this guy was that he was ridiculously attractive and he owned a Strip Club in Vegas…hello, all sorts of stereotyping going on in my brain!
Combine these two characters and you are definitely in for a “good time.” <-- See what I did there! I'm legiterally a punning genius! If you like to laugh and you love a heroine who's spontaneous and fun (and a smidge insecure) and a hero with an honest to goodness heart of gold hidden by his super serious attractive outside then this book is for you!! #goodtimebadge #giveusCanon
Anytime I pick up a Jana Aston book I know I’m in for a “good time” but this book was beyond that….it was a GREAT time! Hilariously funny with crazy characters and a fun storyline, Good Time will have readers laughing constantly throughout. Payton is completely kooky and her inner dialogue will leave you in stitches. She’s one of those characters you won’t be able to forget because she’s just so outrageous. In a nutshell, she’s a ball of crazy fun! Vince—G-d bless that man, I don’t know how he was so stoic around her. She brings something to Vince’s life that was surely missing. He’s often serious and while he doesn’t seem to bat an eye at Payton’s brand of crazy, I loved the little hints of a chink in his armor. He’s the perfect balance for Payton! I loved them together!!!
Good Time is extremely entertaining to read. I was thoroughly engrossed from the first page and read it in one sitting. It’s a complete standalone but interconnected with Good Girl which takes place simultaneously so it isn’t necessary to read that one first. Don’t miss out on the fun—grab Good Time today and enjoy every second of this hilarious rom-com!
Jana Aston delivers another sexy, laugh out loud romcom that is a perfect read. We first met Payton and Vince in Good Girl and they totally deserved their own story.
Payton’s no filter, over the top, scattered approach to life makes her so genuine. Vince, is tall, dark and handsome. He is the strip club owner with a sense of honor and integrity you never saw coming. Together they make an unlikely pair. However in a string of what happens in Vegas moments, they connect, the heat is turned and all bets are off!
Jana expertly brings a realness to her books. Loved this one!! Must read!
I mean…come on. Look at that cover!! It’s already off to a good start.
Good Time brings us back to Vegas for this standalone romcom within the “Good” series. Payton is Lydia’s roommate from Good Girl and she is a whole other level of crazy. Along with her love interest Vince, this book is fun with some great side characters (I call Canon now), crazy antics, laugh out loud moments with some feels brought in. Told completely in Payton’s POV (excluding the epilogue), you’re going to get in the head of our heroine and it’s an interesting mind to say the least.
“That’s a nice suit, right? He probably has a real job, so when he divorces me he’ll be able to pay child support.”
Oh Payton. You were one for the books. She is going to be a character that people are going to love or not really like. She is just pure and utter crazy chaos. Jana Aston tends to write quirky females, but Payton is on a whole other level. I almost liken her to a modern day Lucille Ball. Not like physical comedy, but just crazy thoughts coming out of her mouth and she actually does them. She continuously surprises you and she makes you laugh.
And then there’s Vince. Since we don’t really get his POV, we’ve gotta wonder what his thoughts are on this girl. He’s a guy that runs a strip club, but he seems so serious. And after a night out in Vegas with him, Payton and his buddies, I know there is more to him and he tends to like someone opposite to him. Or so it seems when he’s given 2 choices, A or B all night and one just might surprise us all.
Payton may be a lot for people to handle, but if you are ready to drop off the deep end and allow her to take charge, you will enjoy this book. She’s comfortable in her own skin and isn’t afraid to show her sexuality. She’s not afraid to ask for what she wants. And Vince isn’t afraid to give it to her. Good Time is a wild ride with minimal amount of drama. It’s more fun in a Hangover kind of way, with some loving and almost sweet moments watching a relationship build. Board games along with some pretty steamy sex sounds like a great way to spend an evening in to me!
“I’m so confused, Mark. Loving Vince is a lot like shopping at Target.” “Sure…how so exactly?” “Well, I had no idea I needed him until I saw him. You know? I was just merrily living my life without Vince and I thought I was happy. I thought I had everything I needed. But then poof, there he was and I was like, I NEED this guy.” <<<<<<>>>>>
A fun and Over the Top RomCom coming your way. Can you handle Payton? I think Vince will help you. He evens it all out. Sweet, sexy, smart and serious Vince will balance out Payton’s crazy.
I absolutely LOVED this book! Payton and Vince meet because her friend has a crazy plan to get together with the man of her dreams. They need Vince to help accomplish that task and without Vince knowing it Payton has seen him before and thinks he could be IT for her. After getting Lydia’s scheme done, Payton suggests a night in Vegas along the lines of the Hangover movie. The night ends with Payton and Vince getting married. What made this book so charming was that Vince was so charmed, amused, and a little baffled by Payton. He actually saw her and took the time to know her and take care of her. He was a sexy alpha all the way. The ending was just the best, all the swoons. The only thing that could’ve made this book better was if we got to have Vince’s POV too. There were times I really wanted to know what he was thinking.
Good Time by Jana Aston
I’ve had this book waiting for a few days now and I didn’t want to read it till I absolutely had to. Why? I hear you ask. Well, I’d been so so eager to know what happened That Night with Payton and Vince but I knew that once I read this, it would (obviously) be over. If you’ve read Good Girl, you’ll know exactly what bombshell I’m referring to and if you haven’t, well I’m not sure what you’re waiting for! That book was a must read for any RomCom lover. In Good Time we find out exactly how to marriage of good time girl Payton and strip club owner Vince came to be and what happened after the vows were said.
This book was such fun to read and I kept facepalming myself with some of the things that either came out of Payton’s mouth or entered her brain. She was such a fun character to get to know. Vince is the most delicious older man here; he’s smart, in control, and knows where he’s going. What he does not know is what the next thing to come out of Payton’s mouth will be. He just accepted Payton the way she was, idiosyncrasies and all and didn’t once try and change her and I loved that.
I thought this was a fantastic RomCom from Aston and is yet another of her books I wholeheartedly recommend. This can definitely be read as a standalone though I still insist you read Good Girl first!
*I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.

As soon as I met Payton in Good Girl I was hoping she’d get her own book. Especially when the news came out at the Gala about her and Vince. I knew I was going to LOVE this book when by 7% in I had my face in my hand, shaking it, and laughing. Goodness the things that came out of her mouth, not to mention her inner dialogue was ALL over the place! There were sooo many times I wanted in Vince’s head to know what he was thinking when things came flying out of her mouth. But I’m glad I got to live in Payton’s head for this book. I also really liked how positive they both seemed about this crazy somewhat drunken incident and how they were open to making the best of it. It wasn’t all crazy and angsty, and I loved that!!! I need Canon and Lawson need to get their own books. Especially Canon!! Love this series!!
This book is a MUST READ! I’ve loved Peyton from the time she first spoke in, Good Girl (if you haven’t read it- you are truly missing out). She is hilarious! Everything she says I want to highlight and then reuse it everyday conversation.
“[I’m in] the new Grind Me Café! When I saw the sign go up I thought it was a clever name for a sex toy store, but when I went in the first time I realized they meant grind like coffee beans, not like—well, never mind.”
“You know what they say. If you love someone, set him free. If he comes back, marry him.” “That is not how the saying goes, nor is it relevant for a man you’ve never met.”
“But I can be patient. More patient than you’d think a girl who elopes on the first date would be.”
Peyton is a spontaneous, fun, caring, and a real Good Time. Vince has definitely met his match when it comes to her. He is chasing after someone so opposite from him but she is just what he needs to loosen up those buttons babe!
The attraction between them is off the charts and their banter makes you smile and laugh out loud. I’ve love this book so much and am hoping, wishing, and praying that this group comes back for a book for Canon and than one for Lawson (fingers crossed!).
Really, you have 2 options after reading this review:
A-one click Good Time or B-one click Good Girl and Good Time (you’ll get it after you make your choice).
I think this is my new favorite Jana Aston book. I absolutely loved Payton. She is random, fun, goes with the flow and so unique there is no way not to love her. Vince is so cool, calm and collective but needs Payton in his life. She is everything he never knew he wanted in his life. I freaking love this book, it was funny and everything you expect from Jana.
I have a stomach ache from laughing so hard while reading this book!
Author Jana Aston is my favorite when it comes to memorable female lead characters that are literally comedians who have HUGE hearts looking for love in all the wrong fun ways!
Payton had me rolling!
I lost count on how many times I snorted laughing from the outrageous things that came out of her mouth. She is a crazy, fun, a loyal friend who just says what is on her mind and has no filter.
And that no filter is what Vince can’t resist.
Their chemistry was on fire!
I liked that we get a full fun filled ride of seeing if Payton & Vince can have a Happily Ever After after a crazy Good Time.
Go get this Must Read book!
5 popped!
5 Good Time Stars!! This is legiterally my favorite book by Jana Aston. This read will legit make you laugh, giggle, and snort out loud. As well as give all the feels. Payton is unique and what I wouldn’t give to be her and live in her brain. Then there’s Vince, let the swooning commence…. Drop in Canon and now I need HIS story. Absolutely enjoyed, loved and was completely hooked from beginning to end. Chemistry and banter is off the charts electric! I highly recommend this romcom.
This story had me in stitches right from the start I love peyton’s character so much. Such a light hearted funny book.
Highly recommend
If you like your heroines fun and crazy, Payton is your girl. If you like your heroes sexy and patient, Vince has you covered. Good Time had more laugh-out-loud, shake your head moments than I could count. Definitely the funniest book I’ve read this year. Oh and there’s plenty of sexy in it too.
I’ve officially read the best book of 2018. I LOVED this! There are not very many books that I can read then turn around and read again. This was one of those. So worth reading!
OMG, I love Peyton. Her inner monologue is priceless, especially when she says a bunch of it out loud. Vince is mysterious with a side of sweet. I couldn’t read fast enough!
I will preface this with saying I love Jana Aston. She makes me laugh, swoon and just love what I am reading of hers with every book I read. There could be all kinds of shenanigans happening and I am right there in the story loving it. Good Time by Jana Aston was all that and more! I loved Payton and Vince’s story so much!
Jana has given us some amazing heroines and I thought she could never top Everly in craziness, but boy was I wrong. Payton was so adorable, quirky and had no filter and I loved her. Vince was all kinds of sweet, sexy and patient! They did things a little backwards, but it was so much fun following their journey.
Jana Aston does romantic comedy like no other. I absolutely 1-click everything she writes since the very first book of her I have read and I have been following her from the start. Good Time was funny and charming and I loved every moment of reading it. I highly recommend you run and read now!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
Favourite Rom Com of 2018!!!
Jana Aston is a one click author for me. Has been since I read her first story. I adore her style of writing and am guaranteed to LOL.
Payton and Vince’s story is the kind of book that had me smiling the whole way through. Payton is a nut. Total nut and I loved her. Vince is all sorts of stoic hottie & together they are Rom Com gold.
Witty one liners, seriously hot chemistry and just the right amount of feels makes this one of her best books to date. Add in side characters you’ll want to be besties with and a night in Vegas everyone should experience once in their life.
Vince & Payton oh my word they are a breath of fresh air! Jana has once again given me characters that having me laughing out loud and falling in love with at every chapter! Payton is smart, sexy, sassy and oh so blatantly forward . Vince is our tall, brooding, serious as a shark business man that has found himself enthralled by the quirky Payton. This couple is a match made in RomCom heaven. Their chemistry is off the charts, attraction immediate and sexually charged witty banter so much fun. They jump blindly together into who knows what to call it …and then realize they have real relationship issues. Loved watching them learn and grow together !!

I legiteraly FLOVED this book! Admittedly I haven’t read a Jana book I haven’t loved but I think Payton is fantabulous!! And Vince….sooo sexy! This book is laugh out loud funny. I am now craving Cheez-Its and Del Taco. And to recapture my crazy. I love our cast of characters: Lydia, Canon, Lawson, Rhys. Our new friend Mark. I love the hints at the rest of the Janaverse. And it’s set in Vegas. This town is home to many an insane moment and it is so appropriate for the Janaverse. And I am so hoping Canon is next! I received an advanced copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
First of all, I want to be Payton when I grow up! I freaking loved this book, I laughed so hard, loved the story and Vince was so very mysterious and swoon worthy. Payton is so confident, positive and the right kind of crazy, she is honestly one of my favourite female characters ever, I need another book to satisfy my girl crush on her!
