Marrying a stranger tops the list of things you should never do in Las Vegas, but I did it anyway. The entire night was my idea. I was the one who suggested a wake-up-with-a-tiger kind of night. Instead, I woke up with a ring on my finger and Vince Rossi in my bed.Vince, who was nothing like I thought he was and everything I never knew I needed.Suddenly I was falling head-over-heels in love with … was falling head-over-heels in love with my accidental husband and the idea of ending this union was the last thing I wanted.
I wanted forever.
So what if we barely knew each other? Statistically speaking, our odds were as good as anyone’s.
Until the annulment papers landed on my doorstep…

Sometimes a sequel book is not as good as the first, but not in this case. Payton was totally different to Lydia but just as alluring and sweet. I’m not sure how it happened, but I love Vince more than Rhys!
Payton is the very best friend a girl could want. She is with Lydia when she wants to organize an auction. That’s when she officially meets the club owner, Vince. Payton maybe a little crazy but she is super adorable and easy to be with. A night out in Vegas can’t go wrong, right?!!
Loved this book, and series. I’m hoping there is another, as Canon needs his HEA as well. If you are a lover of rom-com’s, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better book.
Jane Aston scores another hit with this book. I just love her sense of humor, and we can always use another laugh. Original, cute characters and just an entertaining read. You can’t go wrong with this one!
OMG I am so glad that I read this book at home alone because I burst out laughing so many times! Payton is hilarious. Her rambling, subject-jumping thoughts, spontaneous actions and verbal outbursts were tempered by her desire to help others find happiness. Payton may act aggressively or off-the-wall crazy, but she has a heart of gold. I love Payton’s character!
Payton’s spontaneity leads to a night of drunken fun that ends with her marrying Vince in a Vegas Chapel. Vince is more planned and reserved. Their relationship starts off unconventionally. Their personalities are definitely different. However, Vince and Payton both have big hearts and a desire to help others. Oh, and amazing sexual chemistry!
I loved learning how Vince and Payton’s relationship developed; how they got to know each other in every sense of the word; and ultimately how they fell in love with each other. Their story left me feeling full of happiness and hope… and with a desire to reread every other Jana Aston book! Great read!!
I have yet to be let down by a Jana Aston book. She’s become my go to Rom com lady with the perfect amount of dirty talk. Her books usually have me laughing out loud for real at various lines. They are just funny.
This one though Idk. I really loved it. And my takeaway is to be yourself. From the beginning just be yourself.
*adds to the reread often pile*
4.5 Stars of Hilarity and Swoon!
The author always manages to both make me laugh and fall in love. Payton was a whole lotta fun. I adored her unfiltered mouth and the fact that she was just so off the wall. Vince was her complete opposite but he couldn’t resist her sass and craziness.
The witty banter was endlessly funny and I found myself constantly smiling and enjoying the journey with Vince and Payton, as it was never a dull moment.
What happens in Vegas…may just change your destiny and bring you your Happily Ever After.
If this author is new to you, this is a sampling of what her books always bring…joy and laughter. Another great read!
Laughed out loud at some points.
OMFG THIS WAS MY FAVOURITE ROMCOM OF THIS YEAR, ofcos anytime you read Jana Aston book you in for an amazing ride. Jana is an absolute master at giving us magnificent romcoms.
This book had me smiling and feeling good from page one.
Peyton is absolutely quirky and crazy. Yet you can’t help falling inlove with her. I Loved her word making and how she saw Vince. She is someone I can see having a drink and good laugh with.
Vince had me hook line and sinker. This man adores Peyton. He accepted her for her and was interested in changing her. He wouldn’t let anyone else either. Their chemistry, sexy time was equally capturing. These two are made for each other.
This couple, the scenes, the Dialogues and story was sweet, sexy and hot. Grab it now ladies and you will definitely fall in love with these two…
Enjoy!!!!
Jana Aston has a clever way of writing her characters into people you can laugh with and appreciate with all of their quirky qualities. In this standalone, we meet Payton and Vince. The story told from her point of view which means we really get to be inside her head and see how she interprets the world. She is a riot. She is so outgoing and confident and I aspire to be as quick-witted and fearless as she is. Vince. He’s sexy and appealing on so many levels and the two together make for a great read. This is book 2 in her Good Girl series, and although it is a standalone, I recommend that you read the first book Good Girl. You meet Payton and Vince in that book, but really get to know them in this one. I enjoy the carry back to previous books to get a glimpse of prior characters and what they’re up to in addition to meeting the main characters. It is a feel good, delightful read that will have you laughing out loud and hoping for the next book to be written! So many fun characters that I want to get to know..
Jana, Jana. Your best book yet so far!!! Payton it’s a breath of fresh air for a female leading character. Her inner monologue is just priceless!! I never laughed so much while reading a book. She’s funny but real at the same time and with the right amount of crazy and adorable. And of course Vince is just the opposite but they are so goood together. I seriously worship them!!! Thank you for giving us their story and I can’t wait to see with what match you will come up for Cannon.
OMG, I was smiling and laughing throughout the whole book! I loved both Payton and Vince so much!! We get Payton’s POV for pretty much the whole book, but I actually enjoyed not knowing what Vince was thinking until the end. All I know is that Vince was sexy and just awesome. I loved his reactions to all the shenanigans of Payton and how he just accepted her as she is. He was intelligent and sweet and just plain hot! The chemistry between these two were off the charts. As for Payton, I want a friend like her, she is a goof, crazy and just so fun! Payton’s craziness is exactly what Vince needs. He will never be bored with her in his life!
This book was such a fun read, I just loved everything about it. And that epilogue and to finally see things from Vince’s side was just swoon worthy. `Definitely a 5-star read!
Legiterally my favorite Jana Aston book!
At first I was thinking that Payton was going to drive me nuts, but goodness did I end up loving that crazy girl! Her hilarious reasoning process to get to every decision, the super freaking hot sex, and the adorable way that Vince humored her all sucked me right in to this story! I am so hoping that Canon is up next, since he was the best man and all 🙂
Jana is the new Queen of Rom Com. I have loved all of her previous books and GOOD TIME is no exception. Payton and Vince prove that opposites attract. Their chemistry is perfect and they make an adorable couple.
Be warned Payton has no filter. So if she thinks it she will most definitely say it. Be ready to LOL from beginning to end. I would recommend this book to everyone.
Thanks Jana for another story that did not disappoint.
Title says it all. This book was such a good time! I will admit that it took me a few chapters to start to like Payton. She was just way too out there for me. But she grew on me and I started to like her bluntness and honesty. This book was just all around great. I adored Vince like no tomorrow. He was so sweet with Payton. Their story had great flow, no drama, a quite a bit of humor and holy cow sakes the chemistry between them was off the charts. I highly recommend it. I just have to say that I totally look forward to Vince’s friend Canon getting a book, he is quite the character that I need to know more about.
I voluntarily reviewed an early copy of this book.
A or B? A, do I love Payton? Or B, do I love Vince? C. I love both. Like, legiterally, love them both. Jana Aston has a way of writing female leads that are quirky, hysterical, and could legiterally be your best friends. Her male leads are sexy, swoony, and in some way seem attainable. Not that I could ever land a hot sexy strip club owner, but Aston makes me feel like I could. Anyway. Every time I read one of Aston’s books, I think it’s my new favorite. But in all honesty, they are all my favorites. She has solidly inserted herself in the top spot on my shelf as my favorite author. It’s difficult to do rom-com well, and Aston does it naturally. I eagerly anticipate Canon’s book (I so hope he gets one!!)
You have to read this book, especially if you want to laugh. The female lead, Payton, is hysterical. I sometimes was laughing so hard, I had to stop reading for a few minutes. The way her brain works, is like no other. And Vince, who we met in a previous book, is swoon worthy!! Having met him, I really didn’t picture that he would be so …. perfect. He’s thoughtful, caring, supportive, funny, and hot. They go on a drunken spree one night, and the rest of the book is following them through the aftermath. I truly loved this book!!! Might be my favorite Jana Aston book.
Just when you think Ms. Aston can’t top her last rom/com she actually does. Every. Single. Time. If you read Good Girl, you know, like myself, wanted to know about Payton and her crazy antics. This book does not disappoint the silliness, and inner monologues that run through Payton. We all want a Vince in our lives. I needed this book for the great laughs I had throughout this read. Well played, Ms. Aston, well played.
Have yourself a good time well with Good time 😉
When I heard there would be another book in the Good Girl Crew I was super excited. AND found out it was gonna be Payton and Vince I was like YES PLEASE. I mean the whole marriage thing was crazy and I couldn’t wait to hear more about it. Like how did it even come about?
Let’s just say that story doesn’t disappoint. I enjoyed Good Time as the story works backwards. They are married first then have to spend the time getting to know each other and Jana Aston didn’t disappoint. But then you have to question will the marriage even work out!
The funnies and crazies are spread ALL throughout this book. There are also heartfelt conversations about love that have you thinking and maybe you can even relate to. At least for me I could.
Payton is one of a kind and a hoot. She is seriously on another level. Her quirky sayings will either have you laughing or shaking your head or both. Vince is just yummy and so much more than a strip club owner. I like how Aston peels back the layers of him. We also get to see more of Canon in this book and let me just say I am and have been Team Canon since day one. His relationship with Payton is pure gold. This man will keep you on your toes.
As the book started to unfold and we learned more and more about Payton and Vince I found myself bookmarking more and more passages because of the real aspect that Aston hit. They hit home for me and gave me things to think about.
If you are a fan of Jana then you will love this one and if you have never read her before than definitely start with Good Girl and as soon as you finish that one pick up Good Time. You won’t be disappointed.
4 stars.
I’m a big fan of Jana Aston and her comedic writing style. Her storylines are so unique and engaging and make me smile long after I have read the last page. Good Time is a stand-alone, but features returning characters, Lydia and Rhys, that you meet in Good Girl which I recommend reading first. It is in Good Girl where you first meet Payton, the heroine of this story.
Lydia and Payton are friends, and in Good Time, Payton truly shines. You can’t help but adore her love of Cheez-Its, how she views the world, and how honest and endearing she is. Her imagination, optimism, and how she has no filter is what Vince finds so fascinating. This is not “love at first site” on his part; it’s who are you and what did you just say? Payton sets her sites on Vince Rossi and even though it seems like they have nothing in common, I admire how she fights for her man.
This book is primarily told from Payton’s point of view which had me laughing out loud through most of the book. From her trying to offer him health benefits as a perk for marrying her, to trying to listen in on a life coach’s advice to another patron in a coffee shop, to “sampling” a baby, as well as all of her conversations with her co-workers Cannon and Lawson, you will understand why Vince can’t help falling in love and believing in kismet. Although quirky at times, Payton has a heart of gold and you can’t help but love her verbal outbursts, spontaneity, and how she fights for the man she loves.
Vince is definitely worth the title of hero! He is loyal, charming, a great listener, caring, patient, super smart, an attorney, gives back to the community and helps others, totally hot, and most importantly totally devoted and smitten with Payton. Their alone times are very steamy and show that their relationship is more than just physical, that it was meant to last. Even though they had an unconventional start, they both want to remain committed to each other and make it work.
The last two chapters are told from his point of view and tie the entire book together. While I was still laughing as Payton’s zingers, I was swooning all the way at these heartfelt moments of them reflecting on the past and dreaming of their future.
I am hoping to read Cannon’s story next and more of Vince, Payton, Lydia, and Rhys!
Look no further than the title for what I think of this book – it is a GOOD TIME! I smiled, smirked, snorted and laughed out loud all the way through this book and right from page 1. Hands down this is one of my top 5 reads of 2018 (and I read a LOT of books).
Oh to be in a small corner of Ms. Aston’s mind as it just has to be a fascinating place to come up with a character like Payton… she is just something else. Full of fun, with a mind of her own and definitely her own way of forging her way through the world around her. I actually wish I could be more like her myself. I loved the running dialogue of her thoughts they totally made the book for me. And Vince is her perfect foil and clearly finds something charming and endearing about her to make him change his mind about their whirlwind romance.
PLEASE pick up this book – I don’t think you will be disappointed!!
A whirlwind of a Good Time
Whew! At one point I seriously diagnosed Payton with A.D.D. (Attention Deficit Disorder) but then I decided that since I’m no doctor I’d leave that to the experts. .
Good Time is the second book in a series of standalones by Jana Aston. If you haven’t read anything by her yet you need to know that she is legiterally, <- yes that's spelled correctly, on her way to being voted number one in RomCom authors hall of fame by readers far and wide. This book is the story of Payton and Vince. We met them in the first book of this series, Good Girl. Payton talks non-stop, she has her own language yet you have no problem understanding her, though you may be shaking your head and rolling on the floor laughing. She's one of those people you want to hate but she's so damn cute you have to love her. In the beginning of the book we don't know much about Vince. We just know Payton saw him from afar and decided he was her future husband. Through a comedy of errors this actually happens and so the story really begins. Told in Payton's POV. You'll have to read this one for yourself to see how it pans out for them...or does it? Your mission, if you decide to take it is to enjoy the craziness that is a Jana Aston book. Hugs in advance.
