Book’em Bridget is beyond amazing. I love Bridget. A cop’s life runs in her blood and it shows in this one. Bridget is amazingly strong and resourceful when it comes to catching the bad guy. I love this series and how kicka$$ the ladies all are. Bridget is feisty and had such an amazing tight net family and friends. She will make you giggle and yell go girl out loud. Eli will make you swoon. I love him with Bridget. You feel the sparks between them from the start. I love how they finally come together after years of waiting and wanting. I how Danielle Norman brings you these strong, independent women that can hold their own with the men in their lives. That she makes them equals and not one that needs saving. With Book’em Bridget you will be laughing out loud one minute and fanning yourself the next. This book is one that needs to pick up.
OMG!!! I f’kin love Bridget and Eli’s story. Every time I read another book from Danielle Norman I think holy F’ck I love this one so much. Then she does it again. Cannot wait for the next Book ‘em. All Danielle’s books are a must read.
I just love this series. The author has once again given us a funny, suspenseful, romantic storyline with strong, sexy female characters in the lead. The gang, as the call themselves, is once again up to their crazy shenanigans in order to get their man (both the bad guys and the guys of their dreams). This is a very well written book and that had me glued to the pages start to finish.
Bridget has just graduated from the police academy and is now on the force. Coming from a police family, she wants one big collar to prove herself to her brothers, father and co-workers. When she finds herself in a precarious situation, she turns to her brother Callun’s best friend Eli who works for the FBI for help. The problem is Eli has been the star of her dreams since she was a senior in high school and she turns into a stuttering fool around him. As for Eli, he has always known Bridget was special but stood by the ole’ bro code. So when Bridget comes to him with her suspicions Eli tells her and her friends to stand down, not wanting Bridget in danger. Well we all know how well that went over with this gang of headstrong women. So what happens when Bridget finds herself in over her head?
What a great read. It kept me entertained as well as on edge. I highly recommend Book em’ Bridget, Book 2 in the Iron Badges series. While it can be read as a standalone, for a better reading experience I highly suggest reading Badges, the prequel and Book em’ Sadie, book 1 first. Kudos to the author for an outstanding addition to the series. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars.
I think Bridget and Eli’s story is my favorite. This is a slow burn story that has been a long time coming. When Bridget is in jeopardy, Eli finally acknowledges his feeling for Bridget and will do anything for her safety. Bridget has been in love with Eli since she was 18 and this case just keeps putting them together. With the help of the McGuire family, the Iron Ladies and the Iron Orchids the threat is neutralized and the love is stronger than ever. If you are familiar with any Danielle Norman story, humor is key and I chuckled throughout from all of the quips and sassiness. So much fun to read.
I love this series so much. Bridget went from police dispatcher to deputy wanting to carry on the family legacy. When the aftermath of a traffic stop brings her face to face with Eli, the man she’s been in love with since she was in high school. When Eli realizes Bridget has unknowingly at first inserted herself into the FBI’s case, he knows he needs to protect her. This book was an amazing book and I loved the strong female characters and their banter. I’m excited to see what’s next for this series.
Second book in the series, can be read as standalone but you might want to read book one first to get more of the characters. I liked this book more than the first one, perhaps because I was a bit more familiar with the characters, but the suspense, the relationship and the funny parts where a great combination. I loved Eli and Bridgett. Looking forward to reading more.
Book Two of the Iron Badges series, and its just getting better! Bridget has been in love with Eli since her brother brought him home, the only issue… he’s her brother’s best friend and treats her like a little sister. As a new deputy Bridget feels she has a lot to live up to as she is a McGuire and comes from blue blood. Eli has had feelings for Bridget since he first met her, but she is his best friend’s little sister and that’s a line he didn’t want to cross but its been years and all he sees is still Bridget. Now that she has her career started, he has decided that he is gonna start to pursue something more with Bridget. When she gets herself into a situation involving a case that he is working, he warns her off. But there is something about this case that Bridget just can’t stop looking into. Will Eli be able to keep her safe, or is Bridget more than capable of taking care of herself?
So this was a super action packed story and it flowed beautifully! My only complaint was this was bit more tame and I wanted a bit more naughty bits. Loads of drama, danger, violence, and some funny bits, I give this 4.5 stars.
The first thing that always hits me when I start a Danielle Norman Book, is the beauty of the female friendships she writes about, strong, intelligent women who first and foremost are best friends, and would do anything for each other, they certainly don’t need men around to look after them, but they do have their uses, as well as look pretty.
Bridget is a newly qualified rookie cop, after years of working the phones at the station whilst her friends were out and about catching criminals, Bridget decided to follow the family footsteps into a career in law enforcement. With her Father, the retired Captain, one brother a Motorcycle Deputy and the other a Detective Lieutenant, it was almost inevitable.
At Bridget’s graduation ceremony, a blast from the past reappears, Eli, the man she’s had a crush on since she was 18 years old. 8 years her senior and her brothers best friend to boot, Eli is the very definition of untouchable, but that doesn’t stop Bridget from looking, and it seems Eli has decided he’s stayed away from the one woman he should stay away from, but also the only woman that he has had feelings for since long before he should’ve as well. Unfortunately for Eli, after so long, Bridget isn’t sure she trusts his attraction.
At a routine traffic stop, Bridget gets herself mixed up with some very dangerous men, and becomes their next target. Eli of course wants to keep her close and protect her, but Bridget is one fourth of the Iron Badges, and these ladies know how to look after themselves.
As with all Ms Norman’s books, there’s a great mix of comedy, drama and female empowerment. Ladies you just want to be friends with and men you want to drool over. Hijinks a plenty, I absolutely adored this book. 5 Kicka$$ stars!
I love Danielle Norman’s world of iron: Iron Orchids, Iron Ladies, Iron Horse, and Iron Badges. I have been anxiously awaiting this release ever since the Badges Prequel was released and we got a wee taste of what was to come.
Bridget has big shoes to fill as her father and two brothers are already in law enforcement. When someone hears ‘McGuire’ is her last name, they automatically ask if she’s related to Pat, Callum or Aiden McGuire. I feel like a lot of Bridget’s story happened in earlier books where we met her when she worked in dispatch (it’s not necessary to read them, but it will fill in a lot of blanks because this book does reference characters from Iron Orchids and Iron Ladies).
This book started with Bridget’s graduation from the police academy where she was conquering the last hurdle before joining Harley, Kat, Piper, and Sadie, as an officer. In true Danielle Norman fashion, the story is filled with badass women taking no shit from anyone, especially the men who try and “protect” them. It is filled with humour and killer zingers like “the only time you can ever say those condescending words to me is if you’re growling them in my ear, otherwise shut the f— up and stop patronizing me.”
The only “negative” or constructive feedback I can give is that the book isn’t long enough. I’m greedy and I want more. I can seriously never get enough of these books. I also want to know if Bananas and Ringo exist in reality.
Seriously. Go buy it. Now. Why are you still reading reviews?
As always Danielle Norman delivers her signature strong sisterhood and friendship story with a kickass heroine with a badass hero. Book’em Bridget was a great story dealing with some difficult and sadly all to real situations which we all wish were not happening in the world.
Bridget has secretly crushed on her big brothers buddy for years but has been the master of hiding her feelings. Eli the hot FBI agent best friend in question has been denying his own feelings too.
When Bridget realises her dream and graduates to become a Deputy Eli seizes the day and makes his first move. Although that this point Eli is far too subtle for Bridget to catch on for real.
When Bridget stumbles across a serious and dangerous criminal whilst on duty Eli realises just how he feels knowing Bridget has potentially made herself a target.
As the story unfolds, abd you realise just how dangerous these criminals are, with the help of her colleagues and the Iron Ladies, Bridget sets about ensuring they can no longer harm innocents, putting her in even greater danger.
There is a wonderful chemistry between Eli and Bridget. I loved these two together and Eli is now one of my favourite of Danielle’s heroes.
As you would come to expect, the story even though it is about a serious situation with twists and turns along the way, you can still experience Danielle’s hilarious humour injected into the tale and weaved in perfectly along with the appearances of some wonderful characters in her other series.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I always love the humor in Danielle’s stories and the fun side of this authors personality always shines through in her books. I would rate this book 5 stars and I cannot wait for more in this series.
Thanks for another awesome book. They just get better and better. I really enjoyed this book. i am glad they solved the case and that they lived happily ever after. There friendship is so cool.
I couldn’t put this book down! It was funny, intense, fast paced, and HOT!! LOVE IT
Move over Greeks, here comes the Irish! No don’t go far, we still love you, but Bridget is showing her red feisty side. And with Eli waiting for her to grow up, it shows patience is so worth it! Danielle Norman hit it out of the park. Mix longing romance with a stalker who wants to shut up Bridget and you have just another day in the lives of the Iron Badges. And of course, don’t forget Ringo! (Like anyone could). And will someone please lock Harley and Aiden up in a room until they get over their denying of the sexual heat between them?
I received this book as an ARC (although it may have been by accident) I have read every book by Danielle Norman and expected to love this one no less than any of the others. I was not disappointed! This is Bridget and Eli’s story, and based off all the other books, you know they end up together eventually. I was very disappointed and thought they got together too early in the book, and then what would be left of the story? THEN I realized I was over halfway through because I couldn’t put the book down!! Needless to say, I was not disappointed- I was actually very excited that this particular story involved a little more suspense and mystery (which I love when intertwined with a love story!)
I don’t want to give away details of the book, because you just have to read it for yourself, but the baseline of the story is that Bridget just graduated the police academy and is joining her family and best friends on the force! She has a lifelong crush on her older brother’s best friend, and unbeknownst to her, he felt the same way all these years…but her love for her job gets her in a situation that could cost her her life!
If you have not read the others in the series – do that first and many things (and characters) will make a lot more sense. You don’t have to of course, but if you don’t, it’s like missing the first half of your favorite show! Which by the way Danielle- these would make an AWESOME tv series!
This was another awesome read for this series. I highly recommend.
I loved this book about Bridget and Eli. Cops and FBI normally don’t play well together. The FBI are trying to find and track down the leaders of the sex trafficking ring. Bridget and deputy sheriff stopped a suspect and searched his van, even though it looked odd, he had no priors and she couldn’t detain him. Turns out he’s connected to the FBI probe. I loved the posse (gang), Bridget’s fellow female deputies, they are a hoot. You have fun, crazy, dangerous and heat. An excellent read
Norman gives women something to be proud of. Book’em Bridget is proof women are more than window dressing. Bridget is a fighter. She has the courage to speak her mind, the strength to follow her heart and the guts to push back against the bullies of the world. That spirit lands her in some sticky situations and Eli tends to be the most sticky of them all. Bridget is about to learn that there are some situations where vulnerability can prove to be as powerful as the greatest of strengths. Spicy and sassy give birth to a sensational series.
4.5 Star review of Book’em Bridget (Iron Badges#2) by Danielle Norman
I was intrigued with these women after reading Badges Prequel and Book’em Sadie and now having read Book’em Bridget I am even more invested in this group of woman than I was before.
Although this is a stand alone I would recommend reading the first two books as it fill fill in some of the background.
This is rookie cop Bridget McGuire and the man who sets her on fire FBI special agent, Eli Gray’s story.
Having had a thing for Eli for quite some time, Bridget is shocked to learn after graduating from the police academy that it is reciprocated.
As the sister of his best friend, Bridget has always been “hands off” in Eli’s opinion. However when the feisty redhead garners the attention of a sex trafficking maniac, all bets are off and Eli is determined to keep Bridget safe. Of course, Bridget is equally convinced that she can look after herself, until she can’t.
The chemistry between Bridget and Eli is smoking hot and I thoroughly enjoyed his take charge attitude.
I really enjoyed how independent, feisty and determined Bridget is. She knows what she wants and goes after it, whether in her professional or personal life.
I love the relationships Bridget has with her girl gang (#NotAGang) and the support they offer to one another.
There was romance, humour and suspense that kept me captivated from the first to the last chapter.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
I can’t get enough of this author. Suspense, great relationships, and hysterical antics are just some of the reasons why I gave this 5 stars. I want to hang out with Bridget and her friends. Eli and Bridget’s chemistry is off the chain and their banter had me smiling throughout. You do not want to miss this book. I received this as an ARC and voluntarily give my review.
I just love Danielle’s books, and this one was no exception! Bridget has had a crush on her older brother’s friend, Eli, since high school, and learns after graduating academy that the feelings are mutual. Of course nothing goes smoothly as Bridget finds herself in the middle of a trafficking investigation involving both Orange County and the FBI, specifically Eli. The hysterical antics of Bridget and her friends is present throughout, amongst the steamy romance and suspense. We get some time with the Iron Ladies, a little alpha in Eli’s character, and all around female bad@ssery from Bridget the gang (#notagang). I was sucked into this book from the dedication (definitely don’t skip it) all the way to her “about the author” at the end (never gets old). While it’s perfectly okay to read as a standalone, I’d suggest the reading the prequel and Sadie’s book to get to know the characters a little better. Highly recommend!
