Book’em Bridget is like a bag of Potato chips once you start you can’t stop reading. This is a great romance book with quite a few laugh out loud almost spit out your pop moments. If you love an Alpha male with a strong independent woman then this book is for you. No spoilers because I think that you need to read this book to find out who the bad guy(s) are.
Danielle Norman is one of my new favorite go to authors for books to read and I have not been disappointed in any of her books.
Danielle’s books are never a disappointment! Strong women who kick butt, hot males you want for yourself, and laugh out loud comedy is a winning combination. This book is no different; from beginning to end I was hooked. It’s one of those books that you start reading and before you know it, 2 hours have passed and you don’t know how!!
Loved. Loved. Loved so much! Such a great story!
My full review will be coming when I have my thoughts together other than loved loved loved.
Bridget just graduated from the police academy and has a first job with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Eli is an FBI agent and a good friend to her older brothers. Problem is, she wants him to be more but how to get him to see her as more. Then she stumbles into a sex trafficking ring and things really get interesting.
I loved this book! It’s a bit “grittier” than Book ‘Em Sadie was, but wow, did I love it. This book grabbed me from the get go and was a fun ride. Danielle Norman always delivers strong kick-ass heroines and awesome alpha-yet-supportive men in all of her series: Iron Orchids, Iron Ladies, Iron Horses (which I haven’t read yet), and now Iron Badges. This author doesn’t write “dark”, but she does STRONG women who take no shit. The premise of this book was interesting – a rookie motorcycle cop who is just randomly running license plates at a traffic light stumbles on what turns out to be a sex-slave ring. It’s a must-read!!
I would call this book romantic suspense with some brother’s best friend, mixed in with a wild Irish family. It makes for a fun story.
Bridget McGuire comes from a strong Irish family, where she is the youngest sibling, with her fiery red hair and her equally fiery personality. Bridget has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Eli, forever. Eli is an FBI Agent and Bridget is a deputy for the local PD.
Bridget gets into a little trouble with a case that Eli is working on, which draws them closer together. Eli finally realizes he has feelings for Bridget too – despite their 8-year age gap. Now he just has to deal with her over-protective brothers.
While I really enjoyed this book, I would say it was a tad long and dragged in some spots. The characters were great though! I couldn’t get enough of Bridget and her spunk. She stood up for herself, and even though Eli was a pretty strong alpha, held her ground. Her friends were hilarious.
Eli was a great character. He was a little slow to realize his feelings for Bridget (even though it was obvious to everyone else). I love how Danielle Norman writes strong female characters. I’m quite drawn to her books.
I would recommend this story. It’s really funny and sweet.
I absolutely love this story and this series! Danielle has written another fantastic, funny, romantic, suspenseful story with strong women characters! Bridget has been in love with her brother friend Eli forever. When she graduates from the police academy Eli decides its time he lets her know he feels the same way. This story has intrigue, suspense, danger, romance and hot, steamy sexiness! It captured my attention from the first page to the last! I couldn’t put it down! I love all the interaction between the whole gang
(#notagang) especially their game nights! They’re hilarious!
Book’em Bridget was a fantastic book! It is a five star must read! I can’t wait until the next book gets here!
Loved Bridget and Elis story! Danielle never disappoints with her stories and Book’Em Bridget is no different! Iron Badges is a great spinn off of the Orchids!
This was another awesome read in this new series from Danielle Norman. I love the way she makes the stories interweave with the other series. A Must read.
Book’em Bridget is another great book by Danielle Norman. I love the female friendships and how they work together to help solve problems. This one had a very serious, dark and relative to what is facing our country now. Danielle tackles it with wit, humor and grace. This has a great love story I love Bridget and Eli together. I highly recommend this great read.
I received this ARC for my honest review.
What can I say about this book? Danielle Norman did it again. Book’em Bridget is another story of a kick a$$, fiery tough woman. She is a rookie cop who has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Eli, for years. Turns out he is in love with her too. She suddenly finds herself in the middle of a sex trafficking ring. Can she get herself out? Read and find out. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. They can be read as standalone but you will enjoy it so much more if you read the earlier stories.
Book’em Bridget tackles a pretty dark topic for the suspense but with so much wit and humor, the book doesn’t take on the dark tones it could have. Bridget and friends remind me a little of the Stephanie Plum series minus the over the top clumsiness and sheer luck involved in that series. This one is a little over the top in some things, but it’s also loads of fun. The romance between Bridget and Eli seems to happen very quickly, and I had to remind myself that these two have had an attraction for years without acting on it, so it’s really not instalove. I would’ve liked a better bad guy because this one certainly isn’t the brightest bulb in the pack, but I suppose that’s all part of the fun. That aside, the story is full of fun and laugh out loud silliness with a sexy alpha male and the woman who is almost more than he can handle. This one is part of a series but stands on its own. However, now that I’ve met this quirky bunch, I definitely want more of them.
Laughter. Emotion. Strong-willed women. This book has all this and so much more. A must read by Danielle Norman.
This series is one I always love with everything I have. This author always manages to make me laugh, get emotional and feel so happy by the time I turn the last page. This book only makes me want more from her. She has created a gang of girls who are more than friends. The way they interact, joke, cuss and help each other is amazing. Danielle Norman then gives you men who love these strong-willed kicka** women. They have to learn how to handle them, but they learn and love them with everything they have.
This book makes the gang that much stronger. They laugh, love, disguise each other, and support no matter what. Danielle Norman is a genius and has made a series that everyone should read and will fall in love with.
Bridget is an amazing woman. She is starting her career as a police woman. What starts as a traffic stop turns into so much more. Eli (total swoon) enters the picture as her brother’s best friend. You will watch them grow and become so much more as the story unfolds. Together, they are unstoppable and so much better.
I LOVE Danielle Norman! Every book is different, but equally awesome! Hot with a unique plot! This plot will keep me up at nights. It was so realistic. On the romance note it was sweet and steamy! I can’t wait for her next book.
Love the iron badges series! Great book!
Powerful friendships, dangerous criminals, and steamy age-gap romance.. this book has it all!! Book’em Bridget is my favorite book out of the Iron Badges series so far.
I loved the comradery between all of the different police officers. There are deputies, detectives, motorcycle deputies, FBI.. you name it, somebody was there. Friendship and family are some of the strongest bonds you can have with a person.. this book shows you that you don’t have to share blood to be a family.
Before I jump into my book review, I want to give love to the women in this book. They show no mercy, they are powerful, independent, and so so fierce. They take crap from NOBODY. They run their own life and are such role models to fellow women.
Okay, so back to the actual book! Book’em Bridget is the story of Bridget and Eli. It’s a tad bit of a forbidden love, given that Eli is eight years older and also her brothers bestfriend. Bridget has always had feelings for Eli since she was eighteen. But when Eli starts to show interest, she’s not sure if it’s genuine.
While Bridget is doing a routine traffic stop, she has the gut feeling that something is wrong. Caught between a wrong feeling and following the rules, she had to let the guy go. Little did she know, he was wanted in Eli’s open investigation.
Danielle really brought it with this book. Every time I open up one of her books, I’m ready for laughs, some powerful women, and some hot sexy times. Book’em Bridget did not disappoint. I can’t wait to see what she brings with Piper.
I just can’t get enough of this author and her writing! The camaraderie amongst the characters is amazing. I love how Bridget’s family is so over-the-top protective of her being that she is the baby of the family. But don’t let that fool you because she has a steel core and knows what she wants like joining the police department and following in her dad and brothers’ footsteps. While she is meeting and exceeding her goals in her professional life her love life is lacking because she has had a major crush on her brother’s best friend, Eli. Where Bridget is a uniformed police officer Eli is FBI and he has seen some pretty messed up things while he has been on the force. They start bleeding over to Bridget and him and her family circle the wagons around her. Will Eli be able to to protect Bridget from her self and the trouble the girl gang gets into when his latest case brings trouble front and center to her doorstep? I love Eli and Bridget’s story and can’t wait for the next installment of this series!!
“Book’em Bridget” (Iron Badges Book 2) by Danielle Norman is a fantastic read. I loved Bridget and Eli’s story. This is a great addition to the series, packed with entertaining characters, romance, passion, humor, close friends and family, action, law enforcement, twists and turns, and more. There’s never a dull moment with this interesting and entertaining cast of characters. I can not wait to see what happens next. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, law enforcement, and series.
