I love this book. I love all the characters. The women are strong, loyal, smart, and have great camaraderie. It is the same with the men. The suspense, action, and romance are a nice mix. The story is well told and is a fast, very enjoyable read.
Unrealistic, characters in this book are in law enforcement, have the vocabulary of someone age fifteen and act like immature preteens. The people I know in law enforcement don’t pull pranks on other customers when shopping in a store.
Easy entertaining read.
coouldnt put it down
I loved this book about Bridget and Eli. Cops and FBI normally don’t play well together. The FBI are trying to find and track down the leaders of the sex trafficking ring. Bridget and deputy sheriff stopped a suspect and searched his van, even though it looked odd, he had no priors and she couldn’t detain him. Turns out he’s connected to the FBI probe. I loved the posse (gang), Bridget’s fellow female deputies, they are a hoot. You have fun, crazy, dangerous and heat. An excellent read
Oh this is just the best book i love to read easy to become part of the stories. I wish i was part of that big family. I think you would like this book
I almost didn’t finish this book. I was at 27% before it got to any plot. Then it plodded along. Last part of the story picked up.
I had a hard time getting into this….may try again later
I enjoy Danielle Norman’s books. The female lead is usually strong with amazing friends. There is always action and intrigue. Steamy with a HEA.
This book is fantastic and hysterical!! This was the first one I have read written by Danielle Norman and I now have to go and read every single one of her books!
Bridget comes from a family of men who have all been in law enforcement and she has recently joined this world herself. Her father, retired, and brothers are obviously very protective of her and worry for her safety. This also includes a close friend of her brothers, Eli.
Eli has been in love with Bridget for years and has never let on about it, similar to Bridget’s feelings for him since she was in high school. Their relationship is fun to read as they steam up the pages of the book and have incredibly funny and witty conversations along the way.
Bridget’s friends are HYSTERICAL and I literally laughed OUT LOUD when reading the conversations between the group of 5 women. The dialogue is so freaking funny. I found myself wanting to be part of their “gang” too.
The storyline of the book is very well written and kept my interest from start to finish, however I will say what makes the book is the camaraderie between Bridget and her girls, as well as her entire family. A really well written cast of characters!
Definitely a great read! I highly suggest it. Now pardon me as I head back to read the entire series and library from Norman. Cheers!
Bridget is a rookie cop but she has great instincts. Eli is an FBI agent who has been friends with her oldest brother for years. When Bridget finds herself in the crosshairs of a sex trafficker Eli steps in to help. Will their chemistry cause them to implode?
I am loving the Iron Badges series. These girls are bad ass but can make you laugh too. The author does a great job of bringing strong women together . Looking forward to reading more of her work.
What an amazing book!
The book is awesome. It makes you want to cry, laugh. And say screw you to the author. Must read!
Eli and Bridget were a wonderful couple. She just graduated from the police academy and stumbled upon a criminal that the FBI has been looking for. Unfortunately, when she pulls the man over, everything comes back clean so she has to let him go. When Eli, an FBI agent, finds out, he immediately calls Bridget and demands that she come and talk to him.
She has secretly been in love with, or at least has had a crush on him, for years. He also has been interested in her, but because he is best friends with her older brother, he has tried to stay away. Now that she is involved in this case, even though he has asked her to stay out of it, he finds it harder and harder to stay away and to keep his feelings for her out of the equation.
As the search continues for the criminal, Eli realizes that she might be in harms way. She wants to help find the criminal, because she feels guilty for letting him go. What happens when things don’t go the way either expects them too will determine their future.
The chemistry between Eli and Bridget was great. I liked how she stood up to her brothers and made a point about them having no say about who she is with and treating her like a child when she is an adult. I also liked how Eli confessed everything to her brothers and parents and wouldn’t let them force him into staying away. The end of the book was really sweet. I can’t wait to read more Iron Badges books. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
Bridget has followed the family tradition and is ready to embark on her career as a police officer. During a traffic stop she feels there is a lot more to the situation than she knows and now that she has attracted the attention of the wrong people she goes to Eli, a FBI agent and her brother’s best friend.
Eli has been attracted to his best friend’s sister for a long time and now they are connected by a mutual case. He wants her to let him handle it but there is no way this feisty rookie is about to stand by when others need her help even if it puts her in danger.
Hot chemistry, witty banter, great secondary characters and two characters that challenge each other in the best way.
Book’em Bridget by Danielle Norman is book in her Iron Badges Series. Every book is about another couple and can easily be read as standalone. For best reading experience I recommend to read the books in order. The previous book is Book’em Sadie.
Bridget is part of a big overprotective family, loved. She’s a strong character, knows what she wants and worked hard to reach her goals. And her main goal was to join then force. In her private life she’s had a crush on her brother’s best friend since forever.
Eli is a FBI agent and confronted with some pretty ugly things. His last case brings danger to not only his doorstep. Nough said.
Book’em Bridget is a fast paced unputdownable pageturnerthat had me on the edge of my seat from start til the last page. I greatly enjoyed reading Bridget and Eli’s story. I recommend the book and the series, 5 Stars.
Bridget and Eli met years ago when he became friends with her older brother. She has been harboring feelings for him since then. Unbeknownst to her Eli has felt similarly, but has kept it just friends because of her brother and their eight year age difference. Now Bridget is a rookie cop and finds herself in the middle of Eli’s case at the FBI. Eli can no longer hide how he feels, but Bridget is not to thrilled with the way he goes about trying to protect her. Will they be able to navigate their two professions and their burgeoning relationship or will the stress of their jobs and family end them before they even begin?
This is admittedly a strange place to enter this author’s world, but it was still enjoyable and made me want to seek out the rest of her stories!
Bridget is tough as nails and you can’t help but want to be part of this strong, capable circle of women. Eli is sexy and a wonderful book boyfriend – together they have explosive chemistry and are a force to be reckoned with!
Altogether a fantastic read. Can’t wait to get my hands on more of the Iron Orchid universe!
**SWOON** You know I love the Iron Series and I just can’t get enough of women who are powerful and amazing. Bridget from page one I loved her. She just called to me in a way I don’t think the other characters in Danielle’s books have. But she was amazing just letting you all know. And Eli they just had this chemistry that blew you away. This book was full of love, lust, some sexy moments, and of course drama. I won’t give anything away because I’m not gonna lie I’m dying to and Danielle would kill me off in a book. LOL J/K But read this amazing book you won’t regret it.
This story deserves a strong 4.5 stars… maybe 5 stars if I hadn’t fell so in love with Sadie first. Bridget wasn’t quite up to par with Sadie who I absolutely loved!!!
Bridget, who was previously a police dispatcher (in Sadie’s book) is now graduated and a deputy on that same police force. Eli, her brother’s best friend who is also eight years older then her gives her a gift and a note wanting her to call him for dinner. Did I mention he is also a FBI agent???
That’s hot, right?!?!
Then all H E double hockey sticks breaks out and she seeks him out as a FBI agent.
First. She didn’t call him about dinner yet.
One thing leads to another and Eli is no longer thought of as just her brother’s best friend.
I enjoyed this one very much!
And I definitely recommend it!
You can read this one on its own or you can (should) read it after you read Sadie’s story.
