I’ve always been a good girl.I work hard, I follow the rules and I always achieve my goals. But sometimes good girls want things that aren’t good for them. Or someone who isn’t good for them. Like their new boss. And sometimes they do very bad things to get his attention.Like sell their virginity in an auction. Who knew he’d be so very, very mad?Maybe this was not my best laid plan…
Jana Aston gets a badge for writing my favorite book of 2018. She has such a talent for writing funny, quirky, relatable female leads paired with sexy, swoony males. Lydia had several quotes that I highlighted and thought “I could have said that”. I laughed out loud several times while reading this, and believe me, I really need that at this point in my life. I adore this book and cannot wait until everyone reads it!!
This was my first Jana Aston book and I loved every minute of it. It didn’t hurt that I got to listen to one of my favorite two narrators either! I really enjoyed watching the progression of Rhys and Lydia’s relationship and also all of the secondary characters. I’m looking forward to the next book!
I love this book too. Anabelle is the wrestling coaches daughter. She moves to go to school there. A bet gets put on her head and it makes her mad. She gave it right back and I have to say well played. I was laughing and smiling throughout this book as well. Elliot is an athlete. He plays soccer for fun. He keeps to himself. Until he meets Anabelle and becomes his roommate. He is a little selfish and I felt bad for her but she took it so well. She knew what needed to be done. Highly recommend this book. Another great read.
OMG!! I’ve read Jana Before, but not this series. I loved it so much I didn’t want it to end!
Lydia and Rhys meet a bar one night and have a “kiss”. Lydia’s friend Payton is pushing her out of her comfort zone, and to do new things. Rhys comes along!
Both of them can’t get each other out of their minds, and when they both go to work on Monday at the new casino/hotel that’s being built, they run into each other!
Lydia is OTT sometimes, but I get where it stems from. She’s naturally curious, and she’s also a bit young too. One thing leads to another, and she has this elaborate plan to get Rhys.
Rhys doesn’t know she’s concocted this whole idea, and it was a set up of sorts.
They have a plan for the month, actually for the next 30 days and that’s it. Little do they know they’ll fall for each other and life has other plans!
Lydia earns all of her badges, and Payton has some issues going on on the side too! I can’t wait to read her book.
Good Girl is sooo good that a day after finishing it, I keep wishing some 300 more pages might pop up mysteriously on my Kindle. Absolutely great characters and captivating story, one full of fun and sexy moments, romance and friendship, with a teeny tiny angsty dollop on top. Rhys and Lydia’s book is totally paperback worthy!!!
I was disappointed in this book. Tooooo much inner dialogue. Found myself skimming over this to find something else to keep my attention. Too bad the h’s dialogue was so naïve and childish. I am sure there are plenty of readers that found this type of writing entertaining but definitely not me!
Good Girl is the first book I’ve read by Jana Aston and as entertaining as this was, it will not be my last.
Lydia and Rhys are a most unlikely couple. Lydia is fresh out of college and Rhys is over a decade older, but these two are immensely entertaining. You never know quite what will come next. You never quite know what Lydia will say next and where her next thought will lead. Rhys and Lydia are an excellent duo. But now I HAVE to read Good Time and see what the heck is up with Payton (Lydia’s best friend) and Vince.
So I am a big fan of Jana Aston and have loved every book I have read by her so far . This one was just as loveable as the others. Lydia is a great character and will have you laughing and crying. She is you typical good girl with a twist. Rhys is the bad boy , but he is so much more than that. This book will keep you on your toes . You will not be disappointed, you will keep turning the page just to see what happens next .
I thought this was a fun read. I love characters that are on the wacky side and you definitely get that with Lydia. The things the she thinks and says is really funny and kind of cute. Rhys is yummy, but I was a bit iffy on the whole paying for … side of him. As I read on I didn’t think it was as bad as I was thinking in the beginning and I love those alpha me! And I love stories that have those awesome BFFs and buddies that get involved in the story. These guys are awesome! I am really looking forward to Payton’s story!
All in all laugh out loud on many of the things Lydia says and Rhys’ reactions was really fun too. I love how Lydia is so confident on her ideas of what sex it supposed to be like. It was just too funny!
There were some misunderstandings and they can get annoying but I guess that is what keeps a book going, but things get resolved quickly and they get their HEA.
Awesome book badge earned!!
I think this is my first time reading this author and I enjoyed the lighthearted and fun narration a lot. The characters wee simple yet complicated making of the story something interesting and fresh. I had a wonderful time reading GOOD GIRL and can’t wait for Payton story to be published.
not quite a 4 but more than a 3
This book is absolutely amazing!!! And has surprises coming on almost every page!!! This was absolutely a recommended book to anyone to read!!! Love love love!!
This was so entertaining! I wish it was longer because these two are so cute together. I can’t wait for the next book. I’m loving Payton, she was so funny too.
Wohooo! This book is…i love it!
At first Lidya feels too good. She’s a rule folower, your next door neighbour kinda good girl. She’s a goodwill lover. A twenty two naive girl. At first she seems weird for me. This girl is too good, its just plain weird. And then i get to know her. From her POV and through Rhys POV. And Lidya feel genuine. She’s sweet, romantic and yes, she is virginal naive. For Rhys, she is fresh. Lidya is different from all the women he ever encountered. She is real. And the way she makes him feels….like coming home.
I love this couple. Rhys is not perfect. Oh yeah his moves in bed are super hot. Jana write all those super hot details in pages! I repeat, PAGES OF DETAIL HOTNESS! OMG this man..i want my own Rhys.
I like how “normal” man like Rhys is. Him being clueless. Him doing every man mistakes.
And Lidya, i love how she stand her ground. I love how adult she is when Rhys makes mistakes.
I love how Jana writes her story. This book didn’t make laugh like crazy like with her previous books, but i still warn you not to read it in public. Too much detail hotness will burn you!
Like any book by this author, I loved this. Lydia is hilarious. She overthinks EVERYTHING, but not just overthinks everything, she says it all too, in these endless spiels that are funny to read. Meeting Rhys in a bar and getting a kiss before she leaves, as her friend Payton kind of demands must happen, leads to Lydia wanting Rhys for her first. At 22 she’s still a virgin and once she discovers who Rhys is, it doesn’t stop her wanting him. The trouble is, he’s not a commitment kind of guy. He’s more your one night kind or even pays for it to avoid any entanglement issues and Lydia is quite clearly what he calls, a ‘good girl.’ Not his kind at all, although he is attracted to her. She decides to take matters into her own hands, with a bit of help from one of his friends and…well…you need to read it to find out. Thoroughly enjoyed this and can’t wait for Payton and Vince’s story.
*4 Stars*
This one was quite the interesting read. I’m fairly new to Jana’s books, I think I’ve only read one of her others, so I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect with Good Girl, even though I had heard a lot about the book on social media.
Honestly, for me the storyline is so out there, and the characters so strange, that while I couldn’t put it down and just had to see what was going to happen, I also wasn’t too fond of the characters.
I found Lydia to be quite dumb sometimes. Rhys had his dumb moments too surprisingly, but Lydia was the one who stood out for on that scale. Yeah I know she’s a virgin, but she’s 22, and I don’t believe at that age we’re that clueless to sex and sexual situations as made out in the book.
But even in saying all that, I still couldn’t put this book down. I was determined to know what would happen between Lydia and Rhys, and to see when the truth would come out and what the reaction would be. I liked the little things like the sheet pajamas and house hunters, and I’m definitely intrigued by Payton.
I read the book fairly quickly and was pretty hooked for the most part.
I’m sure going to read Payton’s book which I believe is due at the end of the year.
Overall this was a quirky and easy read and I am curious to see what Jana brings us next.
I love Jana Aniston. This book included!!
Premise was weird and disappointing especially as a follow-up to Sure Thing.
Both hot and laugh out loud funny!
Fun quick read!
