I’ve always been a good girl.I work hard, I follow the rules and I always achieve my goals. But sometimes good girls want things that aren’t good for them. Or someone who isn’t good for them. Like their new boss. And sometimes they do very bad things to get his attention.Like sell their virginity in an auction. Who knew he’d be so very, very mad?Maybe this was not my best laid plan…
This book would most def get the “best rom-com” badge.
Lydia is a quirky, babbling, Good Will loving, rule following, overachieving Virgin!
Rhys is a clueless, I pay for sex, asshole!
She has a plan, now all she needs is a man. That is where Rhys comes in. Only he doesn’t know he is the plan. I have never lol’d so hard and fanned myself at the same time. Lydia’s rambles are endearing and her home making skills are unparalleled.
Rhys is your typical playboy…living life, enjoying his single status.
Once Lydia up’s her game…Rhys better watch out!
The patience’s he has for her inquisitive mind is SEXY AF. He also has a filthy mouth. I would totes let that filthy mouth do unspeakable things to me…ALL the things to me. Lydia is so eager…so willing…so prefect, that Rhys might just get blindside with the feelings.
Gawd the dry humping in this book brings me back to my high school days…I legit could dry hump with the best of them…it was my JAM!!!
I don’t think I have loved a couple like this in a long time.
Also curse you Jana for making me want a Del Taco breakfast burrito so effing bad!
I am also a bit in love with Payton…

Jana Auston is a champion of the less than perfect, socially awkward and sometimes nerdy girls. She does it with humor that will have you laughing out loud. In the Good Girl we have Lydia resent college grad who moves to Las Vegas to start her career. She is determined to rid herself of her V card. She meets Rhys and decides he’s the one. She just has to convince him to be a willing partner. Rhys finds Lydia’s inexperience and innocence refreshing, he’s just not sure if he should be the one to ruin her because he is not a relationship guy. It was fun watching her trying break him down.
I just finished reading this book. Jana never fails to hit a homerun on each book she writes. I am 100% sure I enthusiastically loved this book.
Lydia is a fresh out of college woman that lands a HR position at the new Windsor Casino in Las Vegas. Her best friend, Payton, also got a job at the Windsor as well. They are roommates and Payton is trying to help Lydia get rid of her virginity.
Rhys is a 34 year old man that just kissed a good girl in a bar, because her friend said she had to kiss a guy that night. Unfortunately, he knows she truly is a good girl and doesn’t want to corrupt her. So he leaves her with a glaze in her eyes and a kiss that she will never forget.
Imagine his surprise when he is in the break room and in walks the good girl. Lydia has not been able to stop thinking about the unnamed man or his kiss. She tells him that she would love to have another kiss or anything else he may want.
She then finds out that the unnamed man is Rhys and he is the general manager of the Windsor casino.
Now, I can’t tell you more without ruining the story. I can tell you that you will LOVE this book. That the plan that is brought into play is just brilliant. You will laugh and sigh.
Lydia is just so cute, and quite nerdy, “I know, but I looked it up on the internet and read that on average most couples have *** for seven to thirteen minutes and I don’t mind if it’s closer to seven minutes. We can be quick.” Rhys just needs to tone things down at times and perhaps work on his manners just a little bit, “I didn’t know.” She fidgets with the straps of her bag as she speaks. “I didn’t know if I was staying or—I don’t know. I didn’t know,” she says quietly. I’ve made her insecure about a t-shirt. Way to go, *****le.” Rhys likes to send good vibes his woman’s way, “though I promise you, riding me like a filthy cowgirl is a position you’ll enjoy very much when you work up a little confidence.” Oh my word I adored this book, Rhys had no idea what hit him where Lydia was concerned, the woman talked a lot, was honest and just drove Rhys nuts.
HOLY COW! I knew I loved Ms Aston’s writing… but this goes way beyond great writing… I laughed so hard my husband was looking at me like I was insane! If you haven’t read Ms Ashton’s work… what a great book to be your first… and definitely will not be your last! You won’t be disappointed!
I need a Payton! I need a badge giving best friend to motive me to do…stuff.
Jana Aston is doing it again. Good Girl had me laughing at some insanely inappropriate conversations. No sexual innuendo. Nope, that would be too easy. I was laughing my butt off (snicker) about merit badges and the various tasks needed to be preformed to earn one. (Dies snickering)
I clearly am not as good a “Good Girl” as Lydia but then who is. This adventure in losing ones V card is beyond crazy but absolutely inconceivably believable because Jana Aston tells me so.
On a side note, Payton’s book sounds like an absolute blast too. What Happens In Vegas….is available because Jana Aston doesn’t keep it a secret. Lol!

I absolutely loved this book! Lydia was a riot! I lol so many times. Rhys is perfect! His reactions were priceless! Also the factor is on point. Definitely a 5 star for me
This book was absolutely hilarious and I didn’t want to stop reading. Lydia & Payton will have you laughing out loud and having a smile on your face. Rhys and Lydia are so adorable together and definitely will become your favorite couple. I know every time that I one click any of Jana’s books I will always have a smile on my face, be completely in love with the characters and crack up with everything crazy thing the characters have to say and of course I am never disappointed . Another 5 Star read that everyone needs to read. I am definitely a fan for life. I can’t wait for Payton’s story next.

Y’all! Ms. Aston does endearingly awkward so well! Good Girl was hilarious but also sweet, heartwarming, and so utterly entertaining! I loved every minute!

Lydia and Rhys’ first meeting goes down as one of the best I’ve read – in the comedic category anyway. Lydia is a recent college grad and she’s smart, quirky, and a little socially challenged. She and her BF/roommate, Payton, moved to Vegas to work at a new casino. One night, after Payton tricks Lydia into going to dinner only to take her to a bar, she sets eyes on Rhys. Things get very interesting from there.
Rhys is a guy who thinks he’s in touch with his feelings – thinking he has none – but is so clueless as to be ridiculous. It’s the only area where he is though. He’s handsome, wealthy, about to open a casino in hopes of making a name for himself within his family – oh, and he only does one-night stands…until he meets Lydia and she challenges everything.
These two together are magic…and awkward moments…and passion…and humor. I don’t know that I’ve ever laughed so hard at a book than I did at a particular scene in this one. I was grateful it was only my cats who witnessed i. But seriously, Lydia and Rhys are able to teach one another quite a bit about love and what it means to have a committed relationship. And while it took Rhys a little time to get it all together, he showed glimpses of the gem he was underneath. And Lydia – well, Rhys brought out a different kind of passion in her. They each uncovered the whole person in each other. It was honest, genuine, and on occasion, giggle-inducing.
Ms. Aston’s supporting cast rocked as well. t seems we’ll be seeing Lydia’s BF/roommate Payton next and that promises uproarious antics. But I also hope Canon, a friend of Rhys’, gets a story, too. *hint*hint*
It’s been a hot second since I last read something from Ms. Aston. I’ve missed her but Good Girl was worth the wait.
A dare in a bar, an awkward second chance meeting, a crazy cockamamie plan to see where this thing goes and learning so much more about yourself than you ever dreamt possible!
Lydia and Rhys…I absolutely fell for them. Lydia is a unsure, quirky, smart, talented gal with so much inexperience in the romance department . She had me laughing out loud at her adorable off the cuff comments. She literally quotes google when it comes to the bedroom department ! Loved it.
Rhys is our older, more experienced non- love believer . Although once he is bowled over by Lydia ….he may never recover ! He is constantly thinking is she for real and she may be the most Real Thing that he has ever encountered ..So real it hurts ! A fabulous romantic comedy !!
I enjoyed every part of their journey .

Can we talk about this cover? How does Jana find the hot guys in suits? More importantly WHERE does she find the hot guys in suits?
Good Girl follows Sure Thing and is set in the Sutton empire.
I’m gonna be honest and say I was a bit put off in the beginning with another story of a “broke” girl and “rice” boy. I think I’ve read a few too many of those back to back and am longing for a “broke” boy and “rice” girl book. And I was so afraid that would tarnish my outlook throughout the whole story. I’m happy to say it didn’t. I got over it pretty fast b/c I fell absolutely in love with Lydia, even though she is young and “broke” (fresh out of college). I loved her no holds bar on what she is thinking. I love her zero filter and always questioning brain.
I was a bit put off by Rhys’ blinded by non-commitment. I get a bit where he was coming from b/c of the age difference, but nothing he did or said or past he has gave us, the readers, the thought that he was a “bad guy” like he thought he was. All his reasoning for his lifestyle were (imo) legit. Can’t fault him for that, and I hated that he faulted himself for it.
You know when you get to about 70% of the story and the angst/arc happens? Yeah I was looking for it. At 85% I was all ‘am I missing a quarter of the story?’. Everything was still flowing pretty darn well. I honestly didn’t want it to end and I didn’t want angst and was happy that we were getting a book sans angst. But it did happen in a way (like at 93%) and I was worried it would feel like a rushed ending, but it WORKED. It really really worked.
There are a few questions left unanswered. I don’t want to type them here b/c I feel they are spoiler’ish. But I have questions. grrrr
Best rom com I’ve read this year! This book was AWESOME! I loved the heroine’s quirkiness, the hero’s focus on the heroine, the friends around them, and most definitely all the laughs. I can’t wait for the next book!
I binged this book in one 3am session. I really needed the humour in this book after some seriously angsty/emotional reads lately. Jana Aston never fails to make me LOL with her writing.
Have to say Lydia is in my top heroines ever! I adored EVERY SINGLE THING about her. To the point that I was compelled to message the author this morning and tell her just how awesome she was. She’s someone I want to be best friends/big sister to and I was desperate for her to get her HEA.
Rhys – well Rhys is DELICIOUS but can also be kind of an A$$hole! He’s the older guy every girl should get to share their first time with. Gruff exterior covering just enough sweet to make you swoon your panties clean off. Seriously – his dirty talk is on point! Micro orgasms while reading are to be expected.
The dialogue in this one was of course hilarious, but there were also moments where it was quite poignant. I cried a couple of times in this book. Not something I usually do in a Rom Com but the innocence of Lydia and her outlook on the world got to me sometimes. Such a refreshing character. Just beautiful!
Add in chemistry so hot your Kindle might explode, fantastic supporting characters who all need their own story told and just the right amount of angst and I was a super happy reader. Even if staying up so late to finish meant functioning on 4 hours sleep today – totally worth it.
Already dying for Payton’s book. She’s the kind of BFF every girl needs.
This book cracked me up from start to finish. I always expect a good laugh when I read Jana’s books, but this one was something else. My husband kept asking me what I was giggling so much about. Loved Lydia in Rhys together. Their dynamic was so cute, so sexy, I just want more. The little things that Jana added in, like the Girl Troopers, the badges, Goodwill… They added so much to this book. Payton was a hoot. So was Canon. I want more of these two. But more importantly, I want more of Rhys and Lydia. I loved the epilogue but I just want more. Sad to see this story end.
Good Girl by Jana Aston
I don’t know what to say after this. I just don’t. I loved the crap out of this book: the writing, these characters, Aston’s perverted sense of humor all combined for a five star read. So damn good.
Rhys is your typical (as much as Aston can give us typical ANYthing) millionaire playboy – he has no time or inclination to have a relationship with anyone however, that’s not to say he goes with getting any action. I mean, he’s hot, ffs! Who wouldn’t want a piece?! Rhys, bless his poor deluded heart, prefers to *pay* for the sexy times. And, as so eloquently pointed out in the book, he’s not paying for the sex. He’s paying for the flavor of the night to leave. With no expectations or feelings.
Lydia is hands-down my favorite of all of Aston’s heroines. She was fun, she was sweet, she was NERDY (love that!), she was naive but not in a way that’ll make you roll your eyes. Aaaaand she was a virgin but she’s quite convinced she has untapped slut potential. Naturally, she wants our (well, *my*) Rhys to devirginate her and what better way to accomplish that than to set up a virgin auction?! None, apparently. Good times were had by all because honestly, I don’t think anyone is capable of writing a devirginating-scene quite like Aston.
There is absolutely not one single thing I would have changed or did not enjoy about Good Girl. I adored Aston’s humor and her delivery of the whole story. I adored the main characters. I even adored the secondary characters! I loved every. single. thing. Now I just need Aston to be a good girl and write Good Time because after that complete wtf moment, I need the next book stat!
*arc received in exchange for honest review.

Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve read a Jana Aston story, and I was quickly reminded of how much I love the wit and humor and hilarity that she injects into each of her books.
Lydia is…something else, that’s all I can say. Her straightforward approach to situations, and her goal-oriented, go-getter attitude was a supreme breath of fresh air and I couldn’t wait to see what she was going to do or say in each situation. So many times the reactions she had to situations presented to her made me question, “she can’t really be that naïve can she?” And yes, she really could, and that too was a breath of fresh air in this world we live in where girls Lydia’s age are already SO experienced.
Rhys started off a little shaky for me, being a typical man whose little head controls his big head when it comes to women, and his “fetish for paying women for sex” . But he quickly grew on me and I loved his quick wit and comebacks to Lydia when she would say the most outlandish things that he couldn’t tell whether she was serious or not.
“Are we doing the sex? We’re most definitely doing the sex.”
The way that Lydia meets Rhys in a bar is a pretty typical way of meeting someone, but everything after that was not typical at all. It was funny, hilarious at times. This whole story was really funny moment after funny moment. And mixed in with all the humorous times, is the sexy times that Rhys and Lydia have. And those times were an experience unto themselves, let me tell you.
Jana has really mastered the art of writing about awkward girls who fall for their dream guy. This story about Rhys and Lydia was just what I needed at just the right time. I fell pretty hard for Lydia’s roommate Payton, she is a hoot and a half! I can’t wait for Jana to write her story, that’s going to be a doozy.
“I’ll ruin you for anyone else.”
I am in love with Rhys and Lydia.
In. Love.
Lydia is adorable and hilarious. And the perfect opposite of Rhys.
I miss quiet Lydia. I enjoyed her for the five minutes I knew her.
If you aren’t laughing while reading this book, you’re doing it all wrong. I laughed so hard. I was terrified I would wake up the entire house.
But really, this cast of characters. We had gotten a brief glimpse of Rhys in Sure Thing and with that glimpse, I knew I’d need more of him. More of everyone, but Rhys. Rhys, the manwhore. Rhys, the man who paid for sex.
So, yeah, when I realized I was getting a book featuring that manwhore, I knew I’d be in trouble.
And it’s a Jana Aston book. Let’s just say no one does older man-younger woman like Jana Aston. Sexy, rich Rhys. Bubbly, in her own world Lydia. They’re the perfect match.
Do we want to talk about the sex? Yes? No?
It’s hot. And dirty. And hot. You’re gonna wish you had a Rhys to have the sex with. I know
What about the side characters? Canon is back and probably the one character I want to know more about.
Payton? Vince? Lawson? I want more of everyone. Seriously. Give me more! This is the best group of people, the most fun group of people.
This is light and fun and sexy and dirty and all the things you want in your rom-com. EVERYTHING YOU WANT.
