The third novel in New York Times bestselling author Kelly Elliott’s Meet Me in Montana series shows how family and true love can heal a broken past.
After her mother died in a car accident when she was only five, and her father was determined not to show any emotions toward his only daughter, Timberlynn longs for a normal family. What she hadn’t planned on was finding that family in Hamilton, … Hamilton, Montana—thousands of miles away from everything she’s ever known in Atlanta, Georgia. She certainly didn’t plan on falling for Tanner Shaw. A handsome, charming, cowboy who swept her off her feet the moment he looked at her with eyes the color of the Montana sky.
Tanner Shaw was lost and confused…living a life without purpose, traveling between one city to the next. With a longing desire for something he could not quite pinpoint, he heads back to his hometown in Montana to spend Christmas with his family and clear his clouded head. One look at Timberlynn standing in his family’s kitchen, and his entire world is turned upside down. Or was it?
For once in his life, Tanner knew exactly what he wanted and was determined to prove to the only woman he had ever loved that what they shared was worth the risk. But winning Timberlynn Holden’s heart wasn’t going to be as easy as he thought. Can Tanner finally rope in the woman he loves, or will he be unable to help her mend her broken heart?
Good Enough is a stand alone novel in the Meet Me in Montana series.

What to say that hasn’t already been said and can I do this book justice….
You know you have picked up a very special book when it draws you in from the first page and the story and the characters stay with you long after the final words have been read, well Good Enough is one of those very special reads. Small town romance has become a go to for me and this series in particular has become a fast favourite that will be read and re-read, it has everything I want and enjoy in an entertaining book.
This is Tanner Shaw and Timberlynn Holden’s story and boy do they have a tale to tell…..
Tanner is home because he is at a crossroads in his life, his partner on the rodeo circuit wants to retire and if Tanner is honest with himself he too wants other things too, one of those being Timber the girl he met at his brothers wedding, but does Timber have too much baggage, will she ever let a man into her life and will Tanner be able to convince her that she is worthy of love…..
Two broken souls come together to mend their broken hearts, to find love and to build a future but in order to do any of this they will need to take a giant leap of faith. This story touched me on so many levels, I smiled, I giggled and I shed a tear as I joined this couple on their beautifully written love story, their journey is not an easy one but this book has the perfect mix of love, angst, passion and hope and once you add in the Shaw family loyalty you get the perfect read. Great addition to one of my favourite series.
5 star reviews Good Enough (Meet Me in Montana #3) by Kelly Elliott
I love stories based in small towns, it makes for a more intimate read so I was excited to return to Hamilton, Montana. Having read the first two books in the series, I was excited to dive in to Good Enough as I couldn’t wait to see what Ms. Elliott had in store for Timberlynn Holden and Tanner Shaw; this is my favourite book in the series so far.
Both Timber and Tanner have baggage, in fact Tanner is at a crossroads so he returns to Hamilton in hopes of getting his head on straight. From the moment he sees Timber he is smitten, he knows who he wants, now all he has to do is convince her to give him a a chance. The chemistry between them is intense and obvious to everyone around them.
Can two broken hearted souls come together to find peace, love and in doing so take a leap of faith and create a future together? I loved how caring and patient Tanner was as he tried to show Timber that together they could conquer the world.
This was a beautifully written story full of love, family, hope, angst, passion and determination to face ones past and in doing so create a beautiful future. The story was well written, with characters that you cannot help but like and whose story I was fully invested in as Ms. Elliott’s descriptive writing brought Montana to life for me.
The Meet Me in Montana series just keeps getting better! Tanner and Timberlynn’s story is angsty, emotional and has the full on swoon factor in effect. The Shaw family, and all the love and laugh out loud moments that go along with them, make this one irresistible must read!
Lawd have mercy, Tanner Shaw is so damn swoon-worthy that he had me falling so in love with his and Timberlynn’s story that I didn’t want it to end! Timber has had one heartbreak after another and is so guarded she refuses to open her heart. Tanner is tired of the endless women parading themselves around to gain his attention. He’s ready for a change and the woman who catches his eye is the one whose afraid to open her heart to love and a future. Tanner Shaw is determined to prove to Timber that he not only wants her heart but her love FOREVER! This is my favorite book in this series and one that captivated my heart as well!
At a cross roads in her life and against her father’s wishes, Timberlynn decides to walk away from her career as a nurse and move to Montana to work towards her dream of opening a horse rescue ranch. With his career at a standstill because his roping partner wants to walk away, Tanner decides what he needs is time with his family. What he did not expect was to feel an instant attraction for the beautiful girl he met at his brother’s wedding that just so happens to be staying at his family’s ranch. When the sparks fly and passion ignites, Timber and Tanner figure out that the best laid plans are ones that they make together. Love blossoms when you least expert it. In true Kelly Elliott style, the reader falls in love with not only the characters and the storyline but the sense of family and peace that can only be found on the ranch. I highly recommend this book!!
I think Tanner is my favourite Shaw brother. I loved him. He was so sweet, kind, loveable, hard working, funny & a total alpha cowboy. Timberlyn took a little more time for me to like. I liked her at the beginning but then I thought she was wish washy & emotional but then she grew on me & you come to understand her better.
Their story had a few ups & downs like every couple but it was also beyond sweet. I love Kelly’s cowboy romances. They make me want to move to Montana or Texas & find a hot loveable cowboy. The way she brought Montana to life made me want to travel there as soon as I’m able.
I love the whole Shaw family so it was awesome to see so much of them in this book. Blayze is absolutely adorable & had me giggling uncontrollably. I hope he gets a book for when he’s older because he’s gonna break some hearts. If you loved Ty & Brock’s books than you don’t want to miss out on Tanners because I think he takes the win!
I received an arc of this book in return for an honest review.
Wow! I absolutely loved Good Enough, the third book the Meet Me in Montana series, by Kelly Elliott! I received an ARC for an honest review, and I can truthfully say that I loved every page and could not put it down. Good Enough is my favorite book in the Meet Me in Montana series. Who doesn’t love big families, cowboys and love at first sight stories? Kelly Elliott has once again proven that she is an incredible story teller. I have loved every book that I have read that Kelly Elliott has written. I love that she writes her stories in the first person from the perspective of the main characters and getting inside their minds and knowing their thoughts and how they really feel. I love all the characters and the descriptions of the setting In Montana, especially the snowstorm, the cabin and the lake. Good Enough is filled with heartwarming and heartbreaking moments. I truly loved the lighter moments of Good Enough where I found myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that caused me to sigh, say aww to myself with tears filling my eyes, make sure you have a box of Kleenex ready. Good Enough is filled with such moments. Good Enough is love at first sight story between, Timberlynn “Timber” Holden, a nurse, who is relocating to Montana for a career change, and the cousin of Kaylee Holden Shaw who also relocated from Atlanta, Georgia to Hamilton, Montana and Tanner Shaw, champion roper, and the youngest Shaw son. When Tanner first sees Timberlynn at Kaylee and Ty’s wedding “calls dibs” on her. Tanner had a reputation as a ladies’ man that Timberlynn is not too fond of. Timberlynn returns to Montana because of her attraction to a certain cowboy, Tanner. Timberlynn’s mother died in a car accident when she was five years old and she has always had a strained relationship with her father. Tanner and his roping partner, Chance decide to take some time off to decide whether or not they want to continue roping together. Both Timberlynn and Tanner find themselves living in Stella and Ty Senior’s home. I loved Timber and Tanner’s first unofficial date and the beautiful description of the ridge Timber has trust issues because of past relationship and keeps pushing Tanner away. Tanner has given her no reason to trust him. Timber shares things with Tanner that she has never done before. Tanner rescues Timberlynn before a snowstorm and they head to the cabin to ride out the storm and their relationship changes. My favorite character is Blayze and how he also “calls dibs” on Timberlynn and the innocence that he adds to the story, and they way that Timber lets Blayze know about her relationship with Tanner. My favorite part of the story was the motherly advice that Stella gives to Timber, especially to “Find a man who will dance you across the kitchen floor, Timberlynn. Those are the keepers. That type of man will be devoted and love you forever.” I love that the title of the book is incorporated into the story. They are some of the most bittersweet moments of the book when Timberlynn says that she is not good enough. But I especially loved that Tanner tells Timber, “You, Timberlynn Holden, are good enough. Too good, if you ask me. I look at you sometimes and think that there’s no way someone like me deserves to be with a woman like you.” I love how the love from the Shaw family was able to help Timberlynn heal and love again. I love the transformation in Timberlynn and in her relationship with her father and how this change was set into motion by her trusting and loving Tanner. I loved the special meaning behind Tanner’s proposal to Timberlynn and the wedding date that Timberlynn picked. I loved that more heartwarming memories of Beck are shared in Good Enough. Once again Kelly Elliott writes about strong, beautiful women and hot, sexy cowboys, I love all her characters, especially when big families are included. Who doesn’t love reading a story about love at first sight? Good Enough is filled with bittersweet and poignant moments and the surprise plot twists, that I have come to love and expect in Kelly Elliott’s stories. My favorite part of her stories are the Epilogues, I love how the happily ever afters get all wrapped up. I loved catching up the characters from Never Enough and Always Enough in Good Enough, it felt like being at a Shaw family reunion and catching up with old friends, especially all the new little babies. Good Enough is a wonderfully written story and I loved every moment. Highly recommend this beautifully written story. Hoping Dirk gets his story and his happily ever after in Strong Enough, the last book in the series.
Wow wow wow!! Tanner and Timberlynn’s book was absolutely FANTASTIC!! Timberlynn lost her mother at such a young ages and growing up without a mother is hard, but it didnt help her father was not really there for her. Which made Timberlynn feel unwanted most of her life, so when she goes to her cousin Kaylee’s wedding and meets Tanner she falls hard and it took her sometime to realize Tanner isn’t going to hurt her.
Tanner has been Roping for as long as he can remember. He never wanted to stop, that was until Timberlynn came walking into his life and Tanner started realizing what he has been missing for the last year! Tanner and Timberlynn’s love will have you swooning! Your heart will melt at times!! This story has all the emotions!! I cant wait for the next book in this series!! Kelly Elliott has definitely out did herself with Good Enough!!!! You don’t want to miss this book!!!
Oh man what a swoon worthy read forsure. This read melted my heart and turned me into a giddy teen. I felt their emotions, I felt the love they had for eachother. Tanner and Timberlynn are the cutest ever! I understood why Timber was hesitant but there were times I wanted to jump thru the pages and smack the girl in the back of the head. Tanner is every girl’s dream, all these Shaw boys are actually a girls dream. Loved this book!
I’ve got to say I’m absolutely freaking in love with Tanner Shaw out of all the Shaw men! He made my heart palpitate fast happily . The trust Timberlynn has to put on Tanner was so hard after all the let downs men had caused her, but I’m happy that she chose him to trust with her heart as he was meant for her. I loved that Blaze made many appearances I’ve got to say that lil man holds a very special place in my heart as he reminds me of my boys when they were smaller. I didn’t know if I should laugh, be ohh snap, even be aww how sweet when Blaze wanted to call dibs on Timberlynn because damn that little boy is going to cause trouble when he older and I don’t know if I’ll be ready for that. I admire Kelly when she writes any children in her books and brings them to life during multiple books and shows us their feelings or how they’ll be growing. I received an Arc. Thank you Kelly Elliott for another amazing romance.
I think Tanner Shaw might be the swooniest hero I’ve ever read. Humble, kind, and loyal. He’s my favorite Kelly Elliott character of all time.
Good Enough by Kelly Elliott is a must read story of finding oneself, going after what you want, and finding the love of your life. Timberlynn and Tanners story will leave you breathless.
The Shaw family opens their arms wide for Timberlynn, and they are happy to have Tanner home for good. We watch as Tanner earns Timberlynns trust and her heart. We go through all the feels while reading this story. I loved every single thing about this book.
Highly recommended.
