The first in New York Times bestselling author Michael Grant’s breathtaking dystopian sci-fi saga, Gone is a page-turning thriller that invokes the classic The Lord of the Flies along with the horror of Stephen King.
In the blink of an eye, everyone disappears. Gone. Except for the young. There are teens, but not one single adult. Just as suddenly, there are no phones, no internet, no … phones, no internet, no television. No way to get help. And no way to figure out what’s happened. Hunger threatens. Bullies rule. A sinister creature lurks. Animals are mutating. And the teens themselves are changing, developing new talents — unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers — that grow stronger by the day. It’s a terrifying new world. Sides are being chosen, a fight is shaping up. Townies against rich kids. Bullies against the weak. Powerful against powerless. And time is running out: on your birthday, you disappear just like everyone else…
Michael Grant’s Gone has been praised for its compelling storytelling, multidimensional characters, and multiple points of view.
“Extraordinarily skillful pacing, which leaves the reader constantly on the verge of a new discovery.” (KLIATT)

Wow! This book blew me away! From the very first chapter I was hooked in this thrilling, action-packed, apocalyptic story about everyone 15 years old and up simply vanishing, leaving a bunch of kids with unusual powers to fend for themselves! All the characters are very endearing, even the bad ones…you just feel for all these kids and can’t help …
This book was definitely interesting. The plot was wonderful and the events were stunning. The book was wonderful and will keep you guessing until the end. The characters are the only thing that I didn’t like.
This book, how do I put it into words!? One of the most wonderful series I have ever had the chance to read. The characters in the book and the way the author created them and there emotion was just unbelievable. Grant took an unrealistic event and made it as realistic and as livable, or as unlivable, as possible. The beginning took a while for …
The whole series left me mouth opened till the end . I loved the characters and the amazing world of PHAYZ . It really didn’t fail to amaze me . It was different and I would recommend:)
A great teen read.
I was surprised how well I could picture all of this happening, WONDERFUL BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!
Lord of the flies meets the X-Men in this page-turner. A great start to a series that just gets wilder and wilder.
The use of imagery was something else. I must commend the author.
This is a must read for every classic writer
An epic beginning to a truly enthralling series of books. I found myself imaging how I would act in the same situations as the characters throughout the entire book. There was not a single character that I didn’t enjoy reading about. It was easy to forget that all of the characters were children with all of the hardships and action they had to …
This book is entertaining and fun to read.
I read this book on a recommendation of my daughter. She got me hooked to the series!
The story is original, outworldly yet so relatable. What would you do when you’re fourteen and all adults disappear in the blink of an eye? The story is written from different points of view, which gives it multiple layers. Emphasis is put on two characters, …
I did not want to put this book down.
It was very good
In a world without adults can be one of two things; totally awesome or totally awful. Most shows potray a world without parents would be amazing and everything would be fine. Author Michael Grant shows the other side, how kids struggle to survive in a world they are lost and confused in. The book is very long, but it has good adventure and I liked …
Great read
Good dystopian, I recommend it to adults and hang adults!

I sat up all night reading .I could t put it down. I’ve been sick and sometimes when my eyes bothering me I can’t read. I thought I had the secound book but I’m new to this iPad and don’t know where to find it. I will read a lot of your books
I found myself instantly drawn into this book and this world. In a genre where things could easily get predictable, I’m pleased to continue seeing new spins, new tragedies, new enemies, and constant surprises. This was a longer book than most YA, but it didn’t seem long since it was so hard to put down that it took very little time to read! There …
I loved this book! My daughter had read several in the series and recommended them as well. A very compelling story.
