A witch is missing, and if I can’t find her, Eastwind may never be the same. When a North Wind witch vanishes, the Eastwind Coven asks for my help finding her. But unless she’s dead and feeling chatty, I don’t know how much help my Fifth Wind powers will be.Lucky for the Coven, though, I’m in need of a serious distraction from my own problems, so I agree to look into it for them. With Landon’s … into it for them. With Landon’s help, I might just get to the bottom of where the witch has gone. Is it into hiding or into the afterlife? Here’s to hoping for the former.
Time is running out to discover the truth, though, because when word about her disappearance spreads through Eastwind, longstanding tensions between witches and werewolves begin to boil over. If I don’t find her soon, hundred of years of peace in Eastwind may come to an abrupt end.
The Eastwind Witches books are best enjoyed in order.
Fans of no-nonsense female sleuths, lighthearted humor, delicious loves interests, and greasy late-night eats will adore this snarky cozy mystery set against a quaint (and gossipy) supernatural village.
Note: This story is free of swearing, graphic violence, and sex. Okay, so Nora has a few naughty thoughts, but she’s only human … or witch? However, no acts take place or are described during the course of the story.

Eastwind Witches – I love these kinds of witches; nothing mean or nasty but tough when needed. My friend had these three books and we spent a day reading and laughing about the characters and the happenings. Funny, entertaining and well written, the stories are strong enough to keep the reader immersed in the pages, but with a simple storytelling style. The characters grow as the pages fly by and there’s no Stupid Formula, just plain entertainment. Surprise, no vulgar language or cussing. Plus, you’ll love Ted; sorry no spoilers. Little editing needed but not much.
Crossing Over Easy #1 – I love these kinds of witch stories. This is our first book by this author; my friend and I read her copies during one of our get-together weekends. We both had fun with them. Easily and quickly read, COE was funny and interesting. The characters are funny and entertaining; the story line was entertaining; and the dialog and actions weren’t of the stupid variety. Even without a friend’s comments, this book is good for relaxation or something simple but entertaining. Did I mention the book was entertaining. OK, I’m not funny, but Nova is a lot. 5*
Death Metal #2 – This book starts three months after Crossing Over Easy ended. We loved the dialog; it was almost as if we were doing the talking. Well written, funny and entertaining, the pages flew by as we laughed our way to the end. The characters are filling out more, including Eastwind, and their dialog is extremely entertaining. Nora is discovering more about herself and the perks and dangers of being a Fifth Wind witch. 5*
Third Knock The Charm #3 – This book begins two weeks after Death Metal ends. This time no one is killed, but many other things are instead. Funny, entertaining and this time filled with lots of sexual tension. My favorite character is the Library, which I wish all readers had access to one of their own. Ms. Nelson writes well, describes vividly and add humor in abundance. My friend and I just laughed ourselves silly about the message of sexual harassment is wrong, but physical assault is OK. Nope, we didn’t disagree on half of that message, but we come from a time of real sexual harassment where slapping hands or faces was a must; now it’s a crime to defend yourself. 5*
Queso de los Muertos #4 – Another well written, intriguing but quickly read Eastwind tale. Fast paced, entertaining and a touch of sexual tension, this is a good addition to the series. It’s nice the author doesn’t use vulgar language or explicit sex, but uses humor and well thought out storylines. The characters remain interesting and their dialog believable. There’s no stupid formula in this series. I could use a bowl of queso and handmade chips. I contacted the author to review her books since I enjoyed the first three. 5*
Psych Out #5 – Wow, we’ve a few twists to the plot! This book isn’t a cliffhanger, but it will fun to find out what’s happening with Nora in the next book. Well written, intriguing and with a few kinks added to mix, along with more development of the characters. The plot is really intense near the end of the story and there’s a few laughs along the way. Plus, the sexual tension is still running amok. 5*
Gone Witch #6 – Imagine the sexual tensions with three guys available, poor Nora. Another well written, fast paced plot filled with intrigue and suspense. Along with humor, there’s a build up for a bad future ahead for Eastwind. Changes are already taking place, especially with several characters. Once started, this story was hard to put down. 5*
Love Spells Trouble #7 – What a neat spell, but what terrible residuals. Another fun and magical book. There’s all kinds of characters from the past, along with trouble for the future. The storyline was pretty good and there’s plenty of sexual tension and then some. There’s plenty of intrigue and suspense to go with the tension and the humor. One of the characters leaves and I hated to see him go, but the ending still works just fine. 5*
Another mystery needs solving and Nora needs her mind off her personal life. Change is heeaded through Eastwind and not all of it looks like it will be good.
GONE WITCH is the 6th book in this series and just as fun, inventive and suspenseful as the previous ones! Nora and Tanner AND Nora and Donovan AND Nora and Roland (this is one busy girl!) still carry a lot of emotional baggage that creates melodramatic upheavals in all of their lives. While trying to decide just who she wants as her man (or witch or ghost), Nora struggles with solving a potential murder that showcases how prejudice and bigotry can poison life in Eastwind just as it can in our world. (Meanwhile, wonders of wonders, we discover that Tanner can tell a bald-face lie! I’m glad he’s getting more dimension to his character – he’s just been all too laid back and perfect.) At the finale of the book, Ted’s warning that “the Winds of Change are coming” becomes fact and leaves us to wonder what will occur in Book 7.
(You just gotta’ love an author that can make up cussing phrases like “unicorn swirls”, “sweet baby jackalopes” and “for fang’s sake” and still manage to work in a mention of Dr. Phil !!)
Well, isn’t Nora’s love life in a tangle? When she is asked by the highest authorities in the city to look into a witch’s disappearance, Nora finds the opportunity a welcome distraction that she desperately needs. As she investigates, she gets tangled up in politics – finding herself amidst a brewing war between werewolves and witches…Ah, the Winds of Change have arrived…can’t wait for the next book!
This might be my favorite story so far.
If you have not read this series then you must!!!! I have to stop reading these books at the bus stop and on the bus. People think I am crazy because I am laughing so hard , especially my favorite, Grim. When you coming to visit me, Grim? i will give you steak too!
Even if you start here at number six, you will be able to follow the story line, then will want to get caught on the series. I admit I have read books 1-3 and missed 4and 5 before reading this one. There were one or two references that I found to be a minuscule bit to understand. Again the book can be read without reading the rest of the seines beforehand.
I especially love to read these books when I have a bad day, they really change my attitude and never fail to give me joy and happiness.
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest and freely given review.
This epic tale continues with more dangerous adventures for Nora. Seems like nothing happens in Eastwind without her getting involved. I love this series so much and am awaiting the next book eagerly! Read it, you won’t be disappointed!
Wow, Book 6 in this series does not disappoint!!! Started reading and could not stop until it was finished. The ending was great, really left me wanting more, and soon. This story continued Nora and Tanner’s story as well as Roland and Diana’s saga. Oh what a tangled web we weave….. The story has so many open paths it will be interesting to see where the next book leads. Love this series, the characters are wonderful and the plot is fast paced and intriguing. The variety of characters is amazing and so thought-provoking. Highly recommend this book to all mystery lovers.
