You might say I ran away, but you’d be wrong.I put my life on the line in a foreign country to fight America’s enemies. You know what happened when I got home? Was there a hero’s welcome waiting for me? No. I became an internet joke, a viral meme. So, you go ahead and call it ‘running away’. I call it self preservation.I turned my back on the nonstop internet trolling we call society to live … internet trolling we call society to live alone in the Alaskan wilderness. I swore I’d never give anyone another chance, let alone someone like her. She lives her life for her followers. She’s a woman who would rather record her life than live it. She’s exactly what’s wrong with this world.
We’re stuck here because of a winter squall, but that snow whipping around outside is nothing compared to the storm brewing between us. Just like that snow, our touch burns up our bodies and we can’t tell if it’s cold or hot. Hate or love. All I know is I can never get enough. All I know is I need more.
AUTHORS NOTE: This book was previously released as “Saved by the Woodsman.” This updated version includes 10, 000 words of brand new content.

Sawyer comes home from the military to propose to his girlfriend during a live feed. Fast forward 2 years. Elsie is an Instagram model celebrating her engagement in Alaska. Fate has put them together in an abandoned cabin to ride out a storm.
A modern day tale of how some people thrive for online loves and others turn their backs. When two opposites are thrown together they might find that they have something in common.
An enjoyable story
I really enjoyed this story. That has not always been the case for Mr. Cleveland’s books. However, I think the books that have a military influence always seem to get a high rating from me. Although this book isn’t really about the military, it still makes the good list. 🙂 I love the new spin that has social media at the crux. I believe it’s the first time I’ve read a book with this new spin to it. It really modernizes it. I’m sure you too will enjoy this 5-star book!
Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well.
The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting.
Add in a wee bit of drama and you have a good read.
I am so glad that I opted to reread this amazing book! Eddie is one of only a few male romance authors that I truly enjoy, as he writes so well.
For Sawyer, the implosion of a relationship he thought was rock solid, on live TV, sends him off the grid and away from everyone.
For Elsie, a relationship built on social media fame and a life lived in the system, give her incredibly low self esteem. Finding her fiancee cheating with her foster sister, sends her running into the Alaskan wilderness.
Sawyer and Elsie are polar opposites that find each other in the Alaskan wild, stranded in a tiny cabin she is forced to rely on him to survive.
I am never disappointed with a book written by Eddie. He is an exceptional story teller, giving just enough back history to understand and fall in love with his characters. This book had everything!! Devastation, sadness, deception, longing and enough steamy sexiness to keep you reading until the end! Bravo again Eddie!!
I received this book as an advanced copy & am choosing to review it voluntarily. love the rewrite from Eddie. This was a previously released book called Saved by the Woodsman. I didn’t think the story could get any better than it was but then again we are talking about Eddie Cleveland. This story sucks you in from the beginning and you don’t want to put it down until you are done. The additional chapters add to the characters lives. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. If you haven’t read one of Eddie Cleveland’s books you don’t know what you are missing. One of my favorite authors.
I was given a gift of being an ARC reader for this book. Sawyer and Elsie grip your heart with tales of their pasts. I got emotional, delving into their lives and sharing their hurts. You learn to not judge a book by it’s cover. You never know what a person has lived through, survived, to get to where they are now. Sometimes, it’s the accidental meetings that are the most meaningful, and not all attention is good attention. Gone Wild gives you all the drama, romance and heat you can stand, and you want to read it all over, again.
“Gone Wild” is a fast paced must read that will pull you in and wrap you up until the end.A guaranteed HEA I could not put it down and am looking forward to reading more. I read an Advanced copy with NO expectation of a review.
If you want a fast paced, hard hitting, all comsuming, action packed, smooth flowing read, congratulations my friends you have found it. What an unbelievable connection. I was totally blown away. I freaking loved this read. They are all great, but this one struck a cord. I followed the characters along and was fascinated watching their personalities transform and blend. The scenes so vividly described you can picture it clear as day. The chemistry, excitement and danger at every turn kept me captivated from the start.
The classic story of a sexy mountain man rescuing the damsel in distress. Sawyer stumbles upon Elsie and saves her. After some adjustments and realizations, Elsie begins to realize what is truly important to her. Sparks ignite, and Elsie begins to see Sawyer differently. She starts to question if she wants fame or the simple life. Fun, easy read with great characters.
E. Cleveland’s GONE WILD A Military Romance is well written, a great storyline, fantastic characters, amazing chemistry, heartbreak, painful pasts, betrayal, sexy scenes, love and a happy ever after. Sawyer and Elsie will pull you in by your heartstrings. I highly recommend this book and talented author.
I have voluntarily read and reviewed this advanced readers copy
I read the original, liked it so much, that I had to read the new one. The story was very enjoyable. Liked both characters a lot. More info about Sawyer was great!
Love the happy ending!!
6 STARS WOULD BE AN UNDERRATING FOR THIS BOOK!!
I loved this book from “page one” to “the end”. The story line is solid and intriguing. The characters are well thought out. The main characters, Sawyer and Elsie, are real and lovable. The story of their lives intersecting and coming to full bloom was heartwarming and beautifully portrayed by the authors words.
I’m a fan of E. Cleveland and this book did not disappoint. The book flows so quickly that the only problem that I had was it ended way to early. Guess that’s not a bad thing.
An amazing ex military gone Alaskan romance. Wonderful characters and the journey they must take. A must read.
Eddie Cleveland is an amazing writer and even though this is a revamp of an older book he wrote it read like a brand new one! I absolutely couldn’t put it down!
As always, Eddie gives you what you want! This is a new take on one of his older books but the additional words gives more meaning to the story line and characters. Enjoy!
I love this remade version!! Sawyer has served his country proudly and was ecstatic to return home to his girlfriend for a surprise proposal…but the surprise was one him. After being made the but of every social media joke her retreated to the mountains to live, away from the pain. Elsie overcomes a horrible childhood by being an Instagram influencer. She is having her engagement party in a hot tub at a resort with her pushy fiance, friends and her step sister. She knows her life is fake, but she never wants to go back to what she was. Her fake world crumbles when she finds her fiance screwing her step sister. Drunk and angry she takes off into the cold night with only her wet bikini, fur coat and boots. On one his infrequent trips into town Sawyer finds a half frozen Elsie in the snow and decides he has no choice but to save her. Snowed in for days they end up breaking down the walls they have each put up and soon realize the passion brewing can’t be ignored. I love their stories and the change they take on each other….so good!
A revamped version of the previously released Saved by the Woodsman,” the story of Sawyer and Elsie (change in name) got even better!
Wow another brilliant story by Eddie Cleveland.
I loved this first time around and loved it even more second time around.
Who wouldn’t love Elsie and Sawyer.
They truly were meant for each other.
An amazing story about two people who’ve been hurt in each of their lives but find a beautiful love blossoming between them leading to a beautiful HEA.
The storyline was well written and they characters were wonderful. I was entertained throughout the entire book. Sawyer and Elsie both had to deal with cheating relationships and found themselves in an Alaskan snow storm. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Sawyer and Elsie’s story was two strangers surviving an Alaskan blizzard. Sawyer went into seclusion in Alaska after his humiliation in the media when he got out of the service. At first I found social media butterfly Elsie to be a bit unlikeable and a whiner as Sawyer seemed to do all of the work for their survival. As they are forced to work together to survive, things began to change. Although they were as different as night and day, they found out things about themselves and each other that brought them together in a HEA. **I was gifted a copy of “Gone Wild” and leave my honest opinion based on my reading. 4.5 Stars!**
