He’s working a routine case, complete with hours of tedious surveillance, … complete with hours of tedious surveillance, when he sees something that shakes him to the core. There, with the subject, is a little blond girl wearing a pink top and denim shorts—the same outfit worn by Tracy Turner, a six-year-old abducted the day before. HOW DO U READ THE BOOK
Characters were good, however, I found the ending lacking. Felt it left the reader with a lot of unanswered questions.
This book had some interesting twists.
Just super sir. Am looking forward to reading more of your writings. Jim
This book kept me guessing and biting my nails. It was another one that it was different and had different characters than your usual mystery novel I really enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this book a lot. Great mystery. 2 stories being told. Or maybe it’s just 1 story from different points of view? That’s what I was trying to figure out during the whole book.
I enjoyed this book. While kidnapping is not funny, this was written in a humorous manner that still didn’t take away from the seriousness of the subject. Characters are likeable and I look forward to reading more from this author.
I enjoyed reading the book. The main character was quite entertaining. The story was interesting.
Story is both humorous and a good mystery story.
Kept me reading even after I needed to go to sleep.
This Texas girl liked the familiar Texas setting of the book. It was s great book, hard to put down, and I’m anxious for another.
Good story.
Great read
I enjoyed this book
very good
story moved a little slow at times
Could not put this book down. Recommended it to my husband- who never reads fiction, and he agrees. Main character is very empathetic- and I found myself rooting for him, through all of his self doubt. Tenacious and gritty, I was cheering for him the whole time.
Quirky lead character, story set in and around Austin Texas, an area I’m familiar with. Story had an unpredictable outcome which I appreciate!
Not worth the time
I enjoyed this book, and while I don’t usually like books with a possible child victim, this one delivered. And some interesting twists with a main character with many flaws, lots of baggage, but doesn’t let go until the child is safe.
