Gone For You is a light hearted introduction to Jayne Frost’s angsty rock star romance series, The Sixth Street Bands, Each book in the series features recurring characters, but can be read as a standalone. NO CLIFFHANGERS.

4 out of 5 stars! Rock star guitarist, Cameron, has a good life. However, when his friend, and bandmate, is placed in the hospital Cameron’s life is sidelined by the need to stay in one place for an extended period of time. During that time, he meets Lily. Lily comes from a well-known Texas family, who disowned her when she decided to do what she always wanted with her life by becoming an artist, and sets Cameron’s life on fire as he goes about pursuing her. Yet, are they meant for only a few good memories or something more worthwhile?
While I loved the cover its book description didn’t really sell me on this novel, who helped want to read it was Eat Sleep Read Review’s own review for this novel as it explained a lot. Now that I’ve read this novel, I can say that I was pleasantly surprised that I liked reading from a single POV standpoint, Cameron’s POV to be exact, as much as I did. Cameron is forthright in his beliefs and wants making it hard for the reader not to agree with him. Plus, I found his attraction and “chase” for Lily to be very endearing. They are very sweet together. In addition, while I still wished I could read a bit from Lily’s perspective, I liked the way Cameron handles everything that came his way. He was the perfect “reformed” playboy rock star hero!
I hope to see the rest of Cameron’s band matched up as this series progresses! I recommend this novel to those looking for a lighthearted yet sultry rock star romance!

Gone for You was a decent rockstar romance. I thought it was ok for the most part, but I had a hard time connecting with the characters. I liked that the story is centered around Texas.
For the most part this book was really easy to read and I got through most of it quickly, but I got to a point where I really just lost interest in the characters and the story. The story focuses on Cameron and his relationship with Lily who works at a resort the band is staying at to get away from media. I really just don’t know what to say, the plot wasn’t all that interesting, and Cameron’s feelings for Lily weren’t quite convincing enough. Lily let people treat her like a doormat and Cameron lashed out at her any time he got his feelings hurt. I will say I liked the way he stood for her because she never did. There are bits here and there where there is actual band business discussed and they perform.
I was hoping for a little more with this book, but I am definitely interested in reading about the other members of the band.
Oh! Look out Cameron, you are in for a shock. Not every woman is going fall at your Rock-God feet. Especially not Lilly, who has enough sass and snark to keep you in line and put you in your place… And keep you interested.
Wait! This has never happened before. What’s a rock star supposed to do with a girl like Lilly?
Fall for her, of course. Good and hard… and forever.
Oh, and I did enjoy watching Cameron fall. And Lilly, too. The interaction between Lilly and Cameron in the beginning was so much fun, I laughed my way through the first 3 chapters… And then as things started to settle down, as they began to know each other and share their dreams.
I fell. I’m in.
This is a great start to this series. I can hardly wait to read the next book
As for this one– 5 stars.
I soooo lived it. Getting the rest of the series ASAP. I love the mind that came up with this book. I fell In love with Cameron and Lilly.
In the midst of all the global craziness caused by the pandemic, having an addictively fun series like the Caged novels had been a huge sanity saver. These interconnected but totally standalone romances of each of the members of the band are both extremely powerful and totally fun. That’s certainly the case with Cameron snd Lily’s story in Gone for You. I loved Cameron, but totally adored Lilly and her marvelous strength and willingness to sacrifice for her goals in life. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
I love me a good rockstar book. This was a new author for me and I really like her. I loved both Lily and Cameron. He was just a little bit cocky but not so much that he wasn’t likable. Lily was endearing and I really felt bad for her because of the way she was treated by her parents. There was definitely instant attraction for these two, but it didn’t take them long to realize they had true feelings for each other. There was a bit of angst but nothing over the top and was resolved quickly. I can’t wait to read about the rest of the band.
Gone for You: A Rock Star Romance:
Sixth Street Bands Series, Book 1
By: Jayne Frost
Narrated by: Jacob Morgan, Ava Erickson
Jayne Frost is one of those authors that I know when I start the book, I will have a great listen. This first book in her SIxth Street Bands series sweet, sensual and just a feel good romance. Cameron Knight is the guitarist for Caged, an up and coming band. When his bandmate is injured, they go to a hotel for anonymity. When he meets the concierge, he is smitten. Lilly is biding her time, earning money to go to school and do what she truly loves. Painting. This chance meeting with Cameron is not what she is looking for, but the chemistry is hot, and the temptation to do something wild is too much. But can these two keep it casual? This is such a sweet, warm story. I love Jayne’s writing. She gives each character so much, I feel like I know them. Cameron is reckless, yet grounded. Lilly is strong and fiercely loyal. I love that she gives Lilly that extra punch by not letting a slight disability pull her down and Cameron the brains to know it does not define her. It’s a true love story, sure to pull you into this series. It’s amazing!
Narration is incredible. As always, these two are consummate professionals, giving each character exactly the personality and feel I anticipate. Ava Erickson tunes into her characters and makes them hers and Zachary Webber is perfectly cast for rock bands. Together, they bring this one to life.

A very easy book to read, plenty of laughs, some swoon worthy moments and I had a tear or two fall. The daily struggles of a band, groupies, crazy managers and the paparazzi.
Christian is the bassist for Caged he’s been involved in an accident and is in the hospital. Lindsay is the bands manager and sees the opportunity to get free publicity. When the band arrive at their hotel it’s mayhem with press and fans. Cameron calls his brother and he arranges for the band to stay at The Mansion. Lily is their designated personal events coordinator and Cameron is wowed. She is a struggling art student, working two jobs to keep her head above water. Cameron has a one and done rule but they are here for a few days. He’s not been in a relationship since high school and he’d like to keep it that way but it seems his heart has a mind of its own.
As the lead guitarist for the up and coming band Caged, Cameron has always lived his life one woman at a time and no two days are ever alike. That is until he meets Lily. Shy and with a speech impediment, Lily is not one for the spotlight, but when the two connect it is love at first sight. Can you find your soulmate when you both come from very different worlds? Can Cam change his man-whore ways to keep Lily in his life? With an awesome storyline and characters you cannot help but fall in love with this was a great book. I cannot wait to see what happens to the rest of the band!!
Complicated? Nah, Cameron is your typical playboy dog rockstar. Lily, on the other hand, she is complicated with a capital “C.” What started as just a challenge goes deeper and definitely makes a relationship attempt complicated.
This story is sweet with some steam and will definitely tug at your heartstrings.
Book one of the Sixth Street Band series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Each book about a different band member and their HEA. I really liked this book! It’s not all about the sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll, but about the band members being their own family. Cameron hasn’t had a girlfriend or been in a relationship sense high school, he only had one night stands with groupies. He thought Lily would be a four day distraction while he was in town then he’d move on. Lily turned out to be so much more. Lily was making it on her own and I liked that she was such a strong person. I love both Cameron and Lily, they are great together! I like that there was low drama and it wasn’t drawn out. I would highly recommend!
This is a fantastic introduction to a new series from this talented author, and is Lily and Cameron’s story. Lily is a feisty character who works as an artist, and is estranged from her family. Cameron is the typical playboy character from a famous band. This is a well written fun quick read, which is thoroughly entertaining and humorous. I was totally captivated throughout, and cannot wait to read the next book in this great series.
Gone For You is book one in the Sixth Street Bands series by Jayne Frost. In full disclosure here, I have already read books four and five of this series and have fallen so in love with them that I wanted to go back and read the first three books that I missed. So, I already have a connection to these characters. This is Jayne Frost’s very first book, her debut into the world of book publishing. As the book progressed, I felt the flow get better and better, or maybe it was just my love of the characters getting stronger and stronger. I think it was probably both. In any event, I loved it. I love these wild, damaged, loveable band mates. And I can’t wait to introduce you to Cameron, the lead guitarist, and Lily, the sweet girl that stole his heart!
Cameron Knight is the lead guitarist of the band, Caged. Caged is on the rise in Austin, Texas and the band members are all living the life. Groupies are at every venue that were ready and willing to entertain them for a few hours. Cameron and his band mates are in Dallas for several days for a concert. When they arrive at a secluded resort Cam first sees her, and he’s instantly drawn to her. This feeling is foreign to him since he’s not the least bit interested in anything other than one night stands since that’s all he has time for. But maybe he can spend some time with this beautiful woman while he’s here, just so he can get her out of his system. Then move on, just like he always does.
“Her blond hair swung from side to side, mimicking the sway of her hips. A smile played across her lips, crinkling the corners of her piercing blue eyes. My heart nearly stopped.”
Lily Tennison is almost ready to graduate from art school. She is working two jobs to pay for her education, one of which is at the resort. She noticed Cameron right away but she knew what his reputation was, what sort of women he went for. And she wasn’t one of them. Still, when he makes it known that he wants to spend time with her, she can’t resist.
Cam’s world is completely foreign to Lily. She is so hesitant to let him in, to let herself believe that this could be anything more than just a short little blip on his life. But the more time they spend together, the more he breaks down her walls and wins her heart.
“She stole a piece of me that I could never get back. Or I gave it willingly. Either way, something shifted, and I felt it so intensely I didn’t know whether to run or hold her so tight she could never get away.”
There is more at play, here, though, than just Cameron and Lily. There is a manipulative manager, and Lily’s equally manipulative mother. Lily has been beat down all her life, made to feel like she is less than nothing. It’s a wonder that Cameron was able to convince her even a little bit that she was the one for him, that she was perfect.
I really did love this. I just can’t get enough of this series. It was also really great to see how Caged ended up being managed by Twin Souls. This is such an amazing series I hope you’ll give it a try. I have a feeling you’ll fall in love with the members of Caged, just as I have.
Cam and Lily are falling fast and hard in this worldwind HEA. Cam never promises more than he can deliver. Having watched his father’s philandering ways as he chased fame, Cam just decided to keep every interaction easy breezy so that all parties know the score from the get go. His band is taking off and he isn’t hurting in looks, money, or fame – so finding new faces is never a problem. When he meets Lily in Dallas he figures this beautiful sexy woman will be just the ticket to pass the days away. What he wasn’t counting on is that she is freaking spectacular in and out of bed. She had this quality that both soothes and excites him in a way that no other woman ever has. This woman gave up being a pampered socialite to pursue her dreams of being an artist even if that meant her family disowned her and her fiancée dumped her. She works two jobs and goes to school and her passion inspires him. For a man so used to one offs he will have to convince Lily she is not just a favor of the moment but something much more indelible.
This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I loved it! Cameron and Lily were such a fun, sweet and sexy couple to read about. Cameron was the sexy, bad boy rocker playboy and Lily was the sweet, gorgeous artist that caught his attention. Definitely a must read!
A heroine who stutters, checked. Bad boy rock star hottie, checked. Struggling band drama with gorgeous band members, checked. Angsty characters, inconceivable villains and hot erotic scenes, checked, checked, checked!
I was gone the moment Cameron Knight couldn’t stop thinking about the beautiful Lily Tennison and asked a valet more info about her. He’s got it bad for her, and I got it bad for him, too (LOL). I love that the story was told in Cameron’s perspective; I thought it sounded more personal and distinctive.
Storywise, it was awesome, the pacing was mellow; not too fast, not too slow. I love the angst that Cameron showed and how he discovered the one thing that could finally put him on his toes. I love that he can get rough sometimes and maintain his gentleness when necessary. Lily was easy to like, no qualms about her. From the moment she got those too tight skinny jeans and pink/purple shirts for Cameron, I knew I liked her already. She was just a little too naive sometimes, but she’s got a good head on her shoulders.
Now, the other Caged members were something else, and I can’t wait to read more about them. Christian, who met an earlier accident, needs to provide more info about his hospital stay. I am mystified by Sean, the lonely one, and of course, Logan, the ladies man. Jayne Frost got me hooked from the beginning and I can see myself getting addicted till the end!
Love Jayne Frost and this series. The writing is impeccable!! The world and characters are brought to life and you can’t help but get drawn in. Jayne is able to be a storyteller without telling but by truly engaging with her words. Trust me, you want to read this series. It gets deeper and deeper as we read. Each book different and but good in its own right. These can stand alone but I for me were enhanced when read together.
Like most books in the Rockstar romance genre, this story touches on the fast, easy life style of rockstars. It does not, however, include any cheating.
Cameron is guitarist from a rock band. Lily is a good girl. It would seem that the two should never mix. And Cameron does his best to keep things light, not serious. But then he starts……feeling things. Having thoughts.
Lily is a strong woman. She has dealt with issues that would break a lesser woman. They have knocked her down, but not out. She has come out stronger for them.
This book is HOT! Cam and Lily together are amazing! The instant connection between the two set the pages on fire. But its the way Cam is with Lily that make me want to swoon! I can’t wait to read about the rest of the band.
What started out as a break from the madness of being a rock star from his band Caged, turned into more for guitarist Cameron Knight. Lily Tennison is more than a one night stand but can she give in to just a few nights of passion or will she walk away with more than her heart broken? Great read about finding the unexpected love when you aren’t looking. Strong characters and riveting story line. This was my first book by Author Jayne Frost but it won’t be my last.
