Gone Country (Gone in Love) by Katrina Marie is a sweet romantic story that is a fairly quick and easy to read. This is the kind of book that you would lose yourself in for a few hours. It is light hearted and fun from start to finish.
It took me a little while to connect with the characters in this book. Their meeting was a little abrupt which I found a bit disconcerting but as the story progressed I found that I had become invested in them.
This is the first book that I have read by this author but I’m sure it won’t be the last.
I have never hidden nor denied the fact that my heart and soul belong in the countryside. I was born and raised in the ‘county’ and wouldn’t have it any other way. I have spent my fair share of living in cities, but it’s never really felt like home. This novel really revolves around the mixed feelings that Stella feels when it comes to moving from her big home city of Austin, to a small little Podunk town of Asheville. Not only is she leaving the hustle and bustle, but also her cousins, which she describes are more like sisters in every capacity. I truly enjoyed getting to know Stella, as well as understanding her bond with her cousins Audrey, and Tiffany. Katrina Marie does an amazing job at incorporating the importance of girlfriends, as well as being able to own the independence that lays beneath the surface.
Now, Johnny, on the other hand, sounds like my type of man! The perfect gentleman, but has that alpha side to him that just, for lack of a better description, makes me, and obviously Stella, swoon. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the characters and being able to really picture the scene where the story is set, and the small town ‘family’ that Stella is welcomed into almost immediately. Of course, it’s not always super easy, and people have history, and past relationships, which Stella and Johnny navigate as best they can, especially within such a whirlwind romance. Overall, though predictable, while reading this novel, I had a smile on my face, enjoying all the emotions, and the experience itself. Looking forward to reading more by Ms. Marie!
Wow! I just finished this in 1 sitting. This was such an amazing story from beginning to end. Honestly, I am sad it’s over. This is the first book I’ve read from Katrina Marie and I’m already looking for others!
When city girl meets country boy… good grief this book was so sweet! I enjoyed Stella and Johnny’s story so much! If you’re looking for an easy to read, interesting, charming book, this is definately for you!
If you need a good laugh, chuckle, or heart pull I highly recommend this! I didn’t see the ending I thought would happen because of the 2 totally different people. She’s a city girl from a big city and he’s a country boy from a small town. He’s a mechanic and she’s working her way up the corporate ladder. It was supposed to be just a one night stand. I loved this book so much! I am defiantly keeping it on my shelf as a favorite.
I enjoyed this romance story. This is a well written story where the author used details to not only bring the story to life on each page but also gave it a realistic feel. This is a story about a woman who has wanted a promotion for a while. She moves to a new town for this promotion only to run into some problems with things like snakes, going in a ditch and the mechanic that she never expected. What will fate have in store for these two? Will she keep her mind on her job while falling for this mechanic? I enjoyed being pulled into the story by these two. They have great chemistry as well as great growth throughout the story. They made up the story for me and they were cute together. I found this book to be fast paced and engaging. I had a hard time putting this book down. It was entertaining and fun. I highly recommend this book.
I absolutely LOVED this book. From the moment Stella met Johnny, I knew this book was going to be good. It’s one of those books that I could see being turned into a movie or a TV show. Stella is trying to get a promotion at her job after working very hard for countless years. Johnny is the country hottie she meets during her newest adventure of temporary relocation. This is book 1 in the Cousins Gone series and I will most definitely be reading the other books in the series.
MUST READ!
I couldn’t put this book down. From the first page to the last page, I was hooked. The three cousins in this book reminded me so much of myself and my best friends, especially when we were younger. I will be reading the rest of the series as soon as I can! I have already downloaded them on my kindle! I can’t wait to read Audrey’s storyline because she reminds me of myself. However, Stella moving away from her people for work also reminded me slightly of my own dreams and ambitions. This book was amazing, and I would recommend it to my friends in a heartbeat. (I may already have!)
She is a city girl through and through wanting a promotion. She needs to prove she can try something else and she goes to the countryside to work but it does not start well. How will it all go? Will she succeed? Will love find her? See what will happen for her

I liked Stella. She was a little klutzy, but a workaholic. She was a city girl with her eyes on getting the career she wanted. I like when the city girl temporarily moves to the country. This was more city girl moves to a small town. Johnny shows Stella the small town, nice guy hospitality. I liked that he showed her how to live beyond work, and how to count on someone beyond her family. Of course there is always some drama going on, but I really enjoyed this book.

I love it when the characters in a book are relatable, fun, entertaining and a joy to get to know. When the story line is just as fantastic and has those laugh out loud moments. This book is all that and more! Don’t hesitate to get this book. The description grabbed me in and I’m so glad I didn’t let this one slip by.

If you’re looking for an angst and drama filled read keep looking BUT if you’re looking for a read that will have you chuckling and feeling good afterwards this is it. She’s a hardworking single woman more focused on being promoted than hanging out. Then she gets the opportunity of a lifetime which turns into a lifetime lesson on what’s really important. Away from her cousins it’s time to figure out what if she has overlooked is what she should be focusing on. Cute feel good story with some steam and fun is something this author is good for. Love these characters and the first standalone in her new series.
The book is a good romantic comedy read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable funny romance read.

When she is offered a chance to open up an office in a small town she jumps at the opportunity thinking it will go far towards her promotion. What she didn’t expect was to meet the charming mechanic that touches her heart and gives her inspiration. Everything is going well until his ex comes back into the picture. Will she put a stop to the budding relationship developing between Stella and Johnny?

Gone Country is a sweet story with a HEA.
We have Stella, a workaholic city girl, who forgets to live just so she can get a promotion in her company. She’s also a family girl very close to her cousins. More like sisters. One random day she gets her big opportunity, but as usual there is a catch. She has to go away to a small town to start a new project for her company.
In this city, she doesn’t start with the right foot, but she gets a knight in shining armor in the form of Hot mechanic Johnny. She’s not used to him or the country, but little by little they develop a friendship that quickly grows into something more.
At the end, she finds what she didn’t know was missing in her life.
Gone Country features workaholic Stella Monroe, who has to turn to the small town life in order to earn a promotion. This transition brings challenges for a city girl. Enter love interest Johnny – the attractive local mechanic.
Fans of “Hart of Dixie” (like myself) will love this one. Stella is funny, as are her cousins. The chemistry between Stella and Johnny is exactly what you want. Overall it’s a light-hearted read, and I look forward to reading more from this author.
