Distraught over his own missing daughter, Chester insists that Macy replace his lost girl. He locks Macy up, withholds food, and roughs her up, demanding that she call him dad. Under duress from his constant threats and mind games, her hold on reality starts to slip. Clinging to her memories is the only way of holding onto her true identity, not believing that she is Chester’s daughter. Otherwise she may never see her family again.
Gone is the first novel in the Gone saga, a trilogy of psychological suspense thrillers. If you enjoy page turning suspense with constant twists and turns, then you’ll love this nail-biting read by USA Today bestselling author, Stacy Claflin.
You may prefer reading the complete trilogy to have all three parts together. (Since the trilogy is about a single kidnapping, the story isn’t resolved in this part.)
Other books in the Gone Saga:
Held (#2)
Over (#3)
Dean’s List – Lydia’s story about being married to a serial killer.
No Return – Rusty is determined to prove his sister didn’t commit suicide… without getting himself killed in the process.
Girl in Trouble – Ten years after Gone, Alex must face his demons. (This begins the 8+ book Alex Mercer series.)

It left me in midair
need to get the rest of the series to see what happens to her
Gripping from the start. I loved it and can’t wait to read the rest of the series! 🙂
WARNING: This book is the first in a trilogy…I didn’t realize that until I reached the end….which really isn’t “the end”. I will definitely be searching for the next two. Gotta find out what happens!!
This is the first installment of a series. There is no resolution, so be prepared to purchase additional “books” to follow the characters.
The first book was well written, but the second two had lots of places where words were missing (like no verb). Don’t know if that was printing errors or actual grammar mistakes. The story line kept my interest even though the story sometimes dragged on. Overall, I really enjoyed the series.
I didn’t like that it ended with no ending. It also had pages missing., and many typos.
Did not realize it was a series of three books. Do not like series when you get part of the story and have to buy the rest. I prefer to read the whole story at one time. I usually will not get a book of it says “1 of 3”. That’s not the way it has always been. I have read many a library or purchased book that is well over 500 pages. This is just a trick to get you involved in a story just to get more money.
So disappointed in this book! It is another one of those books without an ending. The reader has to read EVERY book in the series! I hate it when authors do this to their readers.
I read about 20% of the book. Maybe it was meant for teenagers??
I absolutely did not like the ending that left everything hanging!
The book ended without a conclusion. Wa very disappointed in it.
Quite a page turner, very hard to put down! Have to get the next 2
Know it is a triology series but do not like the to be continued.
could not put this down…well done
I enjoyed the plot enough, but it could be better written. Needs a proof reader for sure! It still caught my attention enough to start on the 2nd book.
At first I did not realize that this was at trilogy and was horrified to find the book ended without the kidnapping being resolved. I believe I read this last book in this trilogy a few years ago so I do know how it ends. I could not sleep and I could not put it down.
A good read, but like most trilogies, it leaves you hanging.
I would not recommend a book that doesnt end with the last page of the book and the 2nd book doesnt end with its last page either! So be prepared to order all3 at the same time.
really enjoyed
