Distraught over his own missing daughter, Chester insists that Macy replace his lost girl. He locks Macy up, withholds food, and roughs her up, demanding that she call him dad. Clinging to her memories is the only way of holding onto her true identity, not believing that she is Chester’s daughter. Otherwise she may never see her family again.
Gone is the first novel in the Gone saga, a trilogy of psychological suspense thrillers. If you enjoy page turning suspense with constant twists and turns, then you’ll love this nail-biting read by USA Today bestselling author, Stacy Claflin.
You may prefer reading the complete trilogy to have all three parts together. (Since the trilogy is about a single kidnapping, the story isn’t resolved in this part.)
Other books in the Gone Saga:

great reading
I really enjoyed how spunky Lacey is.
This book was disturbing and interesting at the same time. I definitely want to read the other two.
great read
I like this series except not ever having an ending. Gotta buy next book to get an ending, but then it goes into another story, again with out an ending.
A totally scary read!
Riveting storyline keeps you turning the pages. Characters feel like they could be friends or neighbors. Part of a series so you get to keep up with the characters.
Ending was very disappointing! Don’t waste your time on this book.
I was very disappointed when the book ended that I have to buy her next book in order to find out the ending !!!!!!
In fact I was so mad I said I would never read another of her book.
I’m 78 years old and have never had to read another book to find out the ending of the book I was reading.
This was a very good read and kept you wanting to fine out how it would end,
so if you like that kind of story then enjoy the book.
I read Gone and was so anxious to get to the end and then I realized it was part one of three. I immediately ordered the other two and read them in one night. It is so scary to read a story that could happen to any of our children in real life.
Read all three in the series! Couldn’t put them down until I finished!
Where is the sequel?
It was a good book but I didn’t like that it was a cliffhanger. I don’t enjoy reading books that don’t have a conclusion.
I would have given it 5 stars if there was a real ending.
I wish it went on more
Hard to put down….ready for the next in the series.
Could not put down this rntire series
Not particularly well written. Very predictable plot. Not really believable. Got this one free, but would have to buy the next to find out what happened. I won’t buy it, but if it was free I would probably read the rest of the trilogy just to see if my predictions are correct.
There were so many typos it was distracting and I lost count of the number. Since I read every word, I would be a great proof reader.
I’ve already rated the book as to content but thought you should know about the typos…
So good I had to read the other two. Could not put it down!
