**The trilogy is complete! Binge read today.**The Gone Trilogy box set is a USA Today bestselling title. One poor decision will haunt her forever.Macy Mercer only wants a little independence. Eager to prove herself grown up, she goes to a dark, secluded park. She’s supposed to meet the boy of her dreams who she met online. But the cute fifteen year old was a fantasy, his pictures fake. She finds … old was a fantasy, his pictures fake. She finds herself face to face with Chester Woodran, a man capable of murder.
Distraught over his own missing daughter, Chester insists that Macy replace his lost girl. He locks Macy up, withholds food, and roughs her up, demanding that she call him dad. Under duress from his constant threats and mind games, her hold on reality starts to slip. Clinging to her memories is the only way of holding onto her true identity, not believing that she is Chester’s daughter. Otherwise she may never see her family again.
Gone is the first novel in the Gone saga, a trilogy of psychological suspense thrillers. If you enjoy page turning suspense with constant twists and turns, then you’ll love this nail-biting read by USA Today bestselling author, Stacy Claflin.
You may prefer reading the complete trilogy to have all three parts together. (Since the trilogy is about a single kidnapping, the story isn’t resolved in this part.)
Other books in the Gone Saga:
Held (#2)
Over (#3)
Dean’s List – Lydia’s story about being married to a serial killer.
No Return – Rusty is determined to prove his sister didn’t commit suicide… without getting himself killed in the process.

I’m sure that this book was described as a psychological thriller. It’s not. What I’m looking for when a book is described as a psychological thriller is why this is happening. What has happened in Chester’s life that causes him to be such a despicable man? I cringed when the author described his torture of Macy. But I’m left wondering about the driving force.
Gone…
Disturbing in many ways, not the least of which is the fact that we have a thirteen year old boy “dating” a fifteen year old, and they’re making out thinking about the next level. I want to think that is not realistic but with how quickly kids grow these days it just might be.
At first I thought Chad was a self-centered a-hole, still find him self-centered, it does seem at times he’s more concerned with his blog and such than his missing daughter. But he also seemed to open his eyes and realize that this is not a cry for attention.
You never know what is coming next.
I read this trilogy in 3 days, could not put it down
Read it last weekend all three in one day and a half. Very engrossing!
I really liked the characters. They were very realistic.
Frankly, I don’t understand the negative reviews for this book/series that I’ve seen. It’s well written, the characters are realistic, it’s compelling and involving. I really like this author and her writing, so maybe I’m biased…but seriously, these are great reads and are worthwhile. However, having said that…you will want to set some time aside as you won’t be able to put them down, even for your favorite tea/coffee!!! Please note that I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
It really kept me turning the pages and the realization that there are such evil people running loose in our society is a terrible reality!
This is among the most harrowing stories I have ever read but also one of the best. It deals with the issues surrounding child abduction masterfully and gives us the feelings of the characters surrounding the teenager throughout. It is one of those situations that you think will never happen to you and/or your family…one that should never happen to any family and the reader is drawn into this family and their local community itself by the sheer power of the feelings from the perspective of each person whether it be the girl herself, her abductor and his insanity, her family or the community within which she lived. It gives the whole range of feelings from terror, grief, shock – every feeling that the human psych brings into focus at a time of such abject helplessness and misery. We see characters become reunited in grief from the midst of a failing mundane marriage to help try and deal with the horrendous situation. We watch helplessly as the teenager tries to become something she can never hope to fully be and we become as one with her as she tries to find her escape route from the madman holding her captive.
This is a very good story. I was not aware that it was a part of a series. I was a bit surprised that it ended so abruptly. I definitely want to find the rest of the story though!!
I felt like I was right there! Well written
Didn’t like the lack of an ending. You have to buy the next two books in the series to find out how it all ends.
I’m completely hooked on this series
A really good read and the story well told. Good characters.
I wish I’d known it wasn’t going to end with this first book.
A little formulaic
I enjoyed it at first, but was disappointed that it didn’t come to a cone. It was part of a book. I knew it was to be the first of a series, but expected a conclusion with the next book being a new story with some of the same characters.
Kept me interested. Bought the rest of the books to be series
I wish this wasn’t a trilogy. Having to continue thru two more books reading about the abusive abductor would be too depressing. Also, a lot of repetitive phrases made it hard to continue reading. Writing seemed juvenile in places.
I enjoyed what o got to read. I hate trilogies I probably won’t read the next book as I like to finish a book and be done
