New York socialite, Poppy Baron, has guarded her secrets for decades. With only a few months to live, she vows to heal her relationship with her daughters and to come to terms with the two decisions that have forever haunted her. This novella is the final installment of the Gilded Flower Saga. Readers will finally get to learn how Poppy Kent became Poppy Baron and how her daughters paid the price … the price for her love affair with Gustavo de Lima.
Poppy first appears in Gilded Lily as the manipulative Baron matriarch. Throughout the Gilded Flowers Trilogies and Wildflowers Series, the fate of her daughters, Lily and Dahlia, and those linked to her world, became intertwined as each of the young women’s love stories unfolded.
Not all relationships have their happily-ever-after, but real love transcends everything—even death.

“I love thee to the level of everyday’s most quiet need, by sun and candlelight…I love thee with the breath, smiles, tears, of all my life… I shall but love thee better after death.” ~Elizabeth Barrett Browning.
STUNNING! I can’t begin to think of another word to describe how I feel this book and the rest of the Wildflower’s series from Vivian Winslow has been. Hands down my absolute favorite series I have read all year. Each book in this series has been better than the last, and that is hard to do because they have been wonderful journeys that I have gotten lost in. I am devastated that this book is the series finale of both the Wildflowers and the Gilded Flowers saga. My only solace is in the fact that there are a few other books I still have to read in the precursor series, The Gilded Flowers Saga I know for sure that I am a new fangirl of Vivian and will be anxiously awaiting whatever is to come next from her!
“Nothing about life prepares you for death. Once, when I was eleven, while my father was reciting the Mourner’s Kaddish for my grandfather, I asked him why the prayer doesn’t mention death. He said, “Sweetie, Jews don’t care about death because we’re too busy living. And when death does come, we look beyond it. Death is just that moment in-between life and what’s after.”
In Golden Poppy we get the long awaited story of Poppy Baron. Poppy has a grave dilemma. She is facing just a few months to live and very estranged relationships between her and her daughters.
“If only I’d known, then I wouldn’t have wreaked such havoc on the ones I loved, and even the ones I loved a little less. Needless to say, the damage is done, and I can spend my final months regretting everything or accepting what bit of love comes my way.”
Tears will be shed as you take the journey with Poppy on the road to fixing these relationships before time runs out. I know there were times I had to stop and wipe the remains of an ugly cry. It is so worth it though. I can’t say enough about this book that will elevate it as much as the book can speak for itself. Give it a go and while you are at it one-click the rest of the series and book a few days off to devour them. Thank you Vivian Winslow for this beautiful series!
“”Death may be a moment, but when it’s preceded by an illness, that moment feels interminable. It’s as if death wants a processional up Fifth Avenue in its honor, so everyone you know can gaze upon your withering body with pitying looks and clucking tongues lamenting that terrible thing that’s happening to you. Not that cancer is just something that happens to you, like a car crash or winning the lottery. If it were like that, then you’d have some outside force to blame.”
“Your mother had a lot of sides to her. She didn’t know how to bring them together without losing you, the few people she loved in the process.”
“We all need forgiveness in death, Henri realized.”
The final book in the Wildflower series finished up the story of Poppy Baron. Find out what transpired between Poppy, WIlliam and Gustavo and how things happened. Loose ends are tied up between all of the books, however I do feel like the Paul’s story was too quickly wrapped up and I didn’t have enough closure for that. However, it was still a great series to get caught up in.

Golden Poppy is the fifth and final book in the Wildflower series by Vivian Winslow. What a way to end a series.
Poppy Baron has not had the happiest life but she is trying to fix things from the past to make her final days happier.
I was angry, I cried, laughed and wondered how it was going to end. I didn’t expect the ending to play out the way I did and just thinking about it makes me tear up all over again.
This was an amazing series and I fell I love with this author.
Golden Poppy is the fifth and last book in the Wildflowers series by Vivian Winslow. This book is the one to peel back all the layers and tells the story of what made Poppy, well Poppy. Where as Wild Poppy was taking us back to her younger days this one gives us a look at her later years and her looking back at and realising that acceptance plays a huge part. But can she repair her relationship with and make amends with her daughters before time runs out? As usual Vivian has written her characters beautifully. They are whole, relatable and complex. This would have to be my favourite in the series and it is so full of emotions and is heartbreaking.
The series ended on a sad note but it is a fantastic story.
Golden Poppy by Vivian Winslow is the fifth book in the Wildflowers Series. It is a romance novel that was a great end to the series. Golden Poppy will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. Poppy is definitely different, under her tough skin she has experienced much pain and loss that she hides well. Golden Poppy tells the story of Poppy’s past. Vivian Winslow has you captured from the first page through the last that you will want to read it in one sitting. Ms. Winslow’s writing had you feeling all the emotions the characters went through. What a great finish, I highly recommend you read the first four books in the series.
Golden Poppy (Wildflowers Book 5) by Vivian Winslow has left me without words. It is rare that I find a series that captures my mind and heart. This book and this series did.
I absolutely love Poppy even more than before. This final book was the icing on the cake of how Poppy endured everything she went through. She came out a beautiful woman in the end. I felt like I was on her journey with her. Poppy’s story was tragically beautiful and have me all the feels.
Vivian Winslow is a brilliant author and I am eagerly looking forward to going back and reading all the other books by Vivian Winslow. Forever a fan!
Golden Poppy is the last installment of Vivian Winslow’s series Wildflowers. Through the books we were watching we watch Poppy throughout her life. Vivian Winslow gave just enough information about Poppy so we were always wanted more. The words on the page were like a song that keep playing until the last word of the book. There were times with Poppy that had me on a roller coaster ride. I felt a connection between Poppy and myself. It is amazing how you look at things in your life and then read that there is the same problem with everyone else. Then you can see that your feelings are correct and you are not a horrible person. With this being the last installment, it is bitter sweet ending and cannot wait to see Vivian Winslow’s next series.
Golden Poppy by Vivian Winslow is the fifth book in her Wildflower series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone but I would recommend reading them all as they just keep getting better and better.
In this book as get to see the story behind Poppy, a character that has popped up here and there throughout the series. Looking to make amends with her daughters she must learn how to reconcile her choices with the life she has lived
I found this book to be very emotional. It was great to see behind Poppy’s character and to see how her choices shaped everything. It was well written and overall a great addition to this series.

Golden Poppy is the fifth and concluding instalment to the Wildflowers series by Vivian Winslow. But it really is the final piece in the Gilded Flower Series too, as Poppy Barron plays a part in that series as well. I have really enjoyed discovering more about Poppy, over the course of the previous book, and this one- we get a real insight into what makes her tick and how/why she is the way she is. This book is set in her later years and there is a lot of reflection on her part, looking back over her life and sharing some of her regrets- realization and acceptance also comes into play. She feels her time slipping away and really wants to make amends with her daughters and repair her relationship with them, before it’s too late. It was great to see all the various aspects to this wonderful, complex character- and I found there was a lot more to her than I had first thought.
As with the rest of the books in this series, the characters are beautifully crafted, fully developed individuals with complexities which give them a realism and relatability. They made me want to turn the pages to find out what was going on and what would happen next. This story was so well written and just so wonderful, it is the jewel in the Wildflower series crown. Ms. Winslow saved the best till last with this emotive, heart-wrenching, and outstanding story.
I am sad that this fantastic series has ended, but what a way to finish! But, I am also excited to see what Ms. Winslow will do next! I can’t wait!
Thank you, Ms. Winslow!

I am so sad that this is the final instalment of the series! I have really loved these stories and this one was another perfect addition to them. Vivian Winslow is a very talented author who has been able to keep my interest over this series by creating amazing characters and fantastic storylines. I will definitely be looking to read other work by her in the future.
I enjoyed reading more about Poppy in her later years, I really feel like I know her as a character especially as Poppy reflects back on her life and her relationship with her daughters. It was real emotional and heart-wrenching story at times full of twists and turns and I definitely went on that great emotional rollercoaster with it.
I really do think that Ms Winslow saved the best story for last, it tied up the series beautifully and I loved every moment of it. I will absolutely be more from her in the future and I can’t wait to get started on the Gilded Flowers Trilogies.
I really do recommend this series to everyone out there, you will not be disappointed!
This is the final installment of this series. I enjoyed it to the end. The characters took me on an emotional roller coaster ride that I couldn’t put down. This is a story of healing and making choices. I felt compassion for the characters as they have all been through so much. Is there a price to pay for love? Read this book to find out. You won’t regret reading this book or series. This book brings it all together for this series. I highly recommend this book as well as the series.
What a way to end this series! This is definitely a must read, in fact, all the books in this series is a must read. They are heart stopping, gut wrenching, and most amazing stories you’ll read!
This book, like the others, will pull at your heart and not let go until the very end!
We’ve met Poppy in other books in this series and she is kinda of what ties this series together. Here she reflects on the past as she feels like her life is slipping away. Reading this series from different perspectives was amazing!
I don’t want to give anything away but this series and book was hands down AHMAZING! Massive one click!

Golden Poppy was the emotional ending I didn’t know I needed to the Wildflowers series by Vivian Winslow. I am not sure I can form the words to appropriately express my feelings for this book. So many people go through life with ‘what if’ or ‘if only I’ type regret and I feel like Poppy’s story truly conveyed this message. Golden Poppy was a relatable story that had me feeling just about every emotion there is. Once again Vivian Winslow knocked it out of the park with phenomenal characters, Poppy Baren is not a woman I will soon forget.
I absolutely love how the series came full circle and we were reunited with characters from the very beginning. The ending of this story is haunting to me, thought provoking and in a way deep and beautiful. To say I loved this book or even the series is an understatement. Vivian Winslow has certainly gained a new loyal reader. Just wow.

Golden Poppy is book five in the Wildflowers series by Vivian Winslow. In this stunning conclusion, Poppy is in the latter stages of her life, and she takes a reader on a journey of reflection, regrets, acceptance and forgiveness. This tough Matriarch shows her audience strength, conviction and courage. She loved, she fought she sacrificed, she lived. She made bad choices and events occurred that she could not change, but as a reader got to know her, you learn what makes her tick and the honest and unapologetic character she is. Golden Poppy was a brilliant and fitting ending to a bewitching series. 4 stars
Golden Poppy by Vivian Winslow is the fifth and final installment in her Wildflowers Series and what a fantastic finale. What is so beautiful about this book, is it is not only the finale in the Wildflowers series but it is also the finale in the Gilded Flowers Series. Following the story of Poppy Barron, who plays a role in both series equally, but this book is so special because it involves allot of reflection and Poppy looking to her past and her life as a whole. Poppy can feel her time slipping away, her life truly ending, and she is determined to make amends with her daughters before it is too late. Getting to see this series from several different angles, from Poppy and from her daughters was such a treat as a reader. Getting to delve into Poppy’s character in earnest along with her daughters made this book such a joy and I honestly couldn’t get enough of it. As will all of the other books in this series, Winslow gives her readers such a beautiful reading experience with her characters. The storyline was beautifully written, the characters were created with depth and fullness. I couldn’t get enough of this series, and I hope that Winslow continues to bring new stories to her readers. If you are looking for a fantastic series, with everything that you could want in a series, I guarantee this is one that you need to pick up.
Golden Poppy by Vivian Winslow is the 5th book and final installment in her Wildflowers Series. Let me just say what a journey this series has been.
I have loved every single one of the characters that I got to meet. But what I enjoyed the most was watching This book was such a beautiful conclusion to this amazing series. With this book, we see how Poppy tries to mend all of the broken fences.
It was such a sweet and precious thing to see. It definitely gave me all of the feels. This was most definitely a 5 Star Book for me!

I really loved reading more about Poppy. We started to know more about Poppy in the last book, but in this one we dove deeper as she looks back on her life and she wants to mend her relationship with her daughters. She has experienced so much, love, loss, pain, and strength. I love how the author made her such a strong character. This entire series was amazing, I am so sad that it had to end. The author made these books amazing and this one is no different. I was so emotional throughout this entire book, the author brings you in and you feel like you are living all these experiences along with these characters. I truly love the authors writing style, I am a forever can of Ms. Winslow!! I highly recommend this book and the entire series!!
