Asher Williams is obsessed with love. His column is thriving, fellow students trust him with their relationship woes, and he’s on his A-game when it comes to matchmaking. At least, matchmaking other than his own. After a heartfelt letter written to his column, Asher is set on aiding the two love-struck heroes who desperately need his help. But like every heroic quest, there are a few bumps in the … bumps in the road and dragons to slay.
Randy and Red can’t stop passing looks whenever Asher voices his plans;, the handsome Christopher might not be quite what Asher expected;, and his dark, mysterious roommate, Morgan, might have a surprise or two up his sleeve.
It doesn’t matter though. Nothing will stop Asher when it comes to helping people find their true love.
He’s absolutely positive everything will work out in the end.
Because love is always like a fairy tale…right?

Golden Boy and the Two Bears is a slow-burn romance with over-the-top characters, fairy tale references, ridiculous texts, and eventually, a happy ever after.

I grinned throughout and seriously laughed out loud several times. Asher and Morgan are adorable.
Loved it 🙂
The sweetness continues! Asher has hit his stride. His love advice column has taken off, his friends are getting along and his relationship with his muscular roommate, Morgan King, continues to crack him up at inconvenient times. His matchmaking skills are now being challenged by a couple who have fallen in love with the school’s golden boy, and though he is up for the challenge, he is once again struck by the fact that he hasn’t found his happy ending. The characters continue to grow, Asher is better at understanding Morgan (with one glaring exception) he is a little more self aware, Red and Randy are getting along, and a wolf makes some of his intentions known. The book is a comedy, sprinkled with magic, the dialogue is snappy and hilarious, the romance is delightful, and though Asher makes me want to shake him in frustration at his obtuseness, the final pay off is extasis. The final scene of the book brought me to tears, it was lyrical and intense, and I don’t remember the last time when reading about the act of love made me so happy and emotional. I can’t wait for the conclusion, it is bound to be as magical a happy ending as our prince of love deserves.
What a magical ending. *.*
This installment focused more on Asher’s own romantic journey rather than him helping other’s find love. Which is good, but I wouldn’t have minded if the two bears and the golden boy got a bit more attention. I hope we at least see them in book 3.
I love slow-burn, thus the ending progressed too fast for me. I would’ve loved nothing more if they (view spoiler) But that’s just my own preference.
Asher being oblivious is just adorable. Loved the bickering and teasing, and Morgan being territorial without Asher having a clue as to why. Pretty clueless, that one. 🙂
Asher Williams is back and as in love with love as ever, as dedicated to romantic wish fulfillment as he’s ever been—the more challenging the entanglements of the heart, the better, as far as Asher is concerned!
But now it’s his own heart that’s getting tied up in knots. And the suspense is delicious, thanks.
All the regular players are back in this chapter of Asher Ever After, as our big-hearted hero dedicates himself to the task of helping an established couple find the courage to tell the Golden Boy on campus that they want to make him their own. A throuple? Piece of cake for Asher the Love Guru. He’ll make it happen…in spite of a couple of minor details that might present a problem. Never fear, though, this is his specialty. He’s got this.
But boy, do things happen along the way that ever-so-slightly wilt the bloom of Asher’s ever-blossoming rose.
Nash Summers scores another win with Golden Boy and the Two Bears. This is feel-good-romance at its most earnest, full of the unabashed joy of finding that special someone, with witty dialogue and fun banter; the perfect afternoon read on a sunny summer day. Or even a cloudy day, because these books are pure concentrated sunshine all on their own. Things have escalated in this installment of the trilogy—did they ever—and it was a nice tease to leave us hanging on. Now, all that remains to be seen is if there will be any sort of fallout afterwards. Come what may, though, I have a feeling Asher’s wish for a forever kind of love of his own is about to come true.
A King in Wonderland drops July 2nd, so there isn’t long to wait for Asher’s Happily Ever After. Thank goodness!
And the fun and sweetness continue in this second book in the series. It picks up right after the ending of book one.
The familiar faces are back with a few new ones thrown in for good measure, hence the golden boy and the two bears, but it’s all about Asher and Morgan. On the surface, they are haven’t changed much. Asher is his happy, bubbling self, but his self-confidence diminishes a bit as his matchmaking skills are not always that successful. Add in the fact that he’s confused about his feelings for Morgan, and his emotions are all over the place. And Morgan is still grumpy and silent, but his gruff exterior is showing some cracks.
Their texts are hilarious, quick-witted, fun, and sweet.
The book ends in a very satisfying way (no spoilers), but it certainly is not the end of Asher and Morgan’s story. I can’t wait to read the third and last installment.
This is the second book in the Happily Ever After series. The books should be read in order.
Cute and adorable fluffiness abounds! I loved this second installment to the Happily Ever Asher series. I liked the first one, When Red Cried Wolf, but I thought there was something missing that prevented me from truly connecting to Asher. But this one had more emotional depth and I loved the deepening relationship between Asher and Morgan. Also, their banter was spot on in this novella. I laughed out loud in several places.
A light and easy and utterly adorable read that left me wanting the next one!
