It took one man, one day to shatter my life.
Parents murdered. Home burnt to the ground. Kidnapped by an honest-to-God Warlock. My introduction to the magical world took everything from me, leaving me reeling.
Being branded as a murder suspect makes life outside of my supernatural refuge impossible… unless it’s in a prison cell.
When Shifter royalty approaches me to help her son and heir … it’s in a prison cell.
When Shifter royalty approaches me to help her son and heir claim his birthright, I jump at the chance to have a purpose beyond escape. Not that I have a choice. At least the scenery won’t be dull. Rory Leone is as gorgeous as he is volatile.
I’m supposed to tame the beast so he can rule, but
being a human entangled with the royals of Grimm Hollow puts a target on my back. When Rory shows he’ll protect me, every female with an eye on the throne sets their sights on me. Their goal: take me out.
It’ll take everything I have to stay alive but I can’t let them break me.
As Allya would say: Bring it.
**Tales of Grimm Hollow can be read alone or as a series and are adapted as modern paranormal retellings of Grimm Fairy Tales.**

A fantastic read that grabbed right from the beginning to the end. The storyline is fantastic, the Author did a fantastic job at the world building as well as the Characters. This had me on the edge of my seat. This is a definite must read. I would give this more than five stars if I could.

Golden Beauty was a wild wide of magical proportions. The subtle hints to the original tale were so obscure that a reader wouldn’t have to know the original tale to enjoy the story. I found that this element really added to the fact that the author took a classic and made it her own while still paying homage to its predecessor.
I was worried at first that Mae wouldn’t be a well-established character since readers don’t official met her until close to the end of Scarlet Huntress, especially since Allya was the only source readers had for what kind of person Mae truly was. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Mae’s academic and analytic voice was completely different from Allya’s cautious and closed off one. Mae’s studious nature combine with Rory’s more laid back and flirty mannerisms was a whirlwind of comedy gold.
Golden Beauty ended on a cliff hanging I didn’t see coming given the theories I had about the main players of the series. Patiently waiting to see were everything goes
OMG! I loved this book. The characters are well written. The details are wonderful. If you like the Grimm fairy tales you will like this book. It has a new but nostalgic take on the original story. The way that Beauty tames her Beast will completely surprise you. The Villons are not who or what you would suspect in this story. I would love to visit the Archives. There are many emotions that run through this story one paragraph will have you crying the next your laughing. Sounds like my type of place. Once you start you won’t be able to put it down.
This book was incredible! Despite the time it took me to finish it, I could not put it down when I had the time to dive into it! Really loved this retelling of an old classic with a modern twist! Especially since it was centered around Beauty and the Beast. One of my favorites! Loved getting to explore Grimm Hollow through Mae’s eyes. Only human in Grimm Hollow? Yikes! Thank goodness there is an extremely hot lion shifter prince around to save the day (Sort of)! Ugh! And the instant chemistry/romance between Mae and Rory? LOVED IT! I love how he becomes so protective over her so quickly (Swoon!). I also loved getting to see Allya and Jason again! Also, looking forward to seeing if our girl Mae can break the curse on the vampire princess Nera! I very much overall enjoyed this book! Also, hope the ending isn’t true (If you’ve read it, you know what I mean!)! I know its a short review, but its sometimes difficult to put so much enthusiasm into a review without it being all over the place.. (Like my usual reviews) Can’t wait to dive into LeAnn’s next retelling, Ivory Inferno!
Fun to visit Grimm Hollow!
The Grimm girls delivered again! Loved getting to know Mae and Rory and their beauty and the beast story. Excited to meet the others
The second book in the Tales of Grimm Hollow, “Golden Beauty” didn’t disappoint at all. Just look book one it, “Golden Beauty” was a fun twist on the classic fairy tale, with this one being a Beauty and the Beast twist. One of my favorite fairy tales. Author, LeAnn Mason does a fabulous job writing Mae’s story. So heartbreaking and heartwarming as she is thrust into the supernatural world of Grimm Hollow. The characters are well developed, and the story will keep you on your toes. “Golden Beauty” is one not to miss. I’m looking forward to the next adventure in Grimm Hollow.
Mind blowing amazing book. I was hooked from the very first chapter. What a great book. Great job
I absolutely love this world that Leann has built! I also love books that take place in the same universe but focus on different characters but bring in characters from the other books! Does that make sense? Anywho, I really enjoyed reading Mae’s story and watching her and Rorys relationship evolve. Definitely kept me on the edge of my seat and left me wanting more! And that ending?! GAH. I cannot wait for the next book!
First off, I don’t normally read fairy tale retellings, but LeAnn Mason had me hooked with book 1 (Scarlet Huntress) and the opening chapter of this book — which you can also read as a standalone. It’s dark, real, sets the stakes and danger high and introduces you to a magical world that’s very creative and takes unique twists on supernatural beings and the Grimm Brothers’ tales in a small-town setting. The latter leads to funny interactions and dynamic characters. There’s also a very realistic romance with a modern take on Beast from Beauty and the Beast with all the great parts and some even better characteristics than the original story or Disney. Mason’s prose is perfect and engaging. Highly recommend if you like magic, action, and a tug of (clean) romance, and especially retellings.
Beauty and the Lion
What a fun twist to this grim retelling! I found it very heartfelt, humorous and refreshing! Its a YA paranormal slow burn romance. Fans that like retellings, this one is for you! It was easy to love Mae the main heroine and relate to her since she is human, loves books and blushes like normal girls do when hotties are around! Plus she has funny thoughts in her brain 24/7 that makes you burst out laughing!! She struggles with grief, heartbreak and pain much like our Allya did from book one but with her and her new friends including sexy lion Rory they learn to face the music together. Can be read as a stand-alone but Allya from book one (Scarlet Huntress) is also worth reading!!!
