Gold is the third in the suspenseful series, Dangerous Games, by Adele Huxley, and in my opinion, the BEST!
The book picks up right where the previous one left off, and what an ending that was. Penny and Phoenix are forced together. If you have read the other books, you will know that these two people are an unlikely match. They will have to work together to get themselves out of their current dangerous situation, and that will require trust. Penny most definitely doesn’t inspire trust in anyone. She is a woman with many secrets, and thankfully, we are finally going to discover some of them. Penny has truly been through a lot, and it is what makes her character as complicated as she is. Phoenix also has some secrets in his past. They begin at odds with one another, but that is covering up some major attraction between them. I enjoyed watching them fall in love and become people I liked even more by the end of the book!
I highly recommend this series. It’s very original, and Huxley perfectly combines romance with suspense. Just when you think you have something figured out, she throws in another shocking twist that keeps the pages flying. Looking forward to the next book in the series. It promises to be even more explosive! Please note: the series should be read in order!
No spoilers of any kind! I’m not that great at writing reviews since my thoughts tend to jump from one thing to another.
So all I’m going to say is that this is a great book. Adele Huxley definitely has a talent at weaving her stories and transporting you into the reality that she’s created. If you’ve never read any of her books then I suggest if I was you start with Bronze then go with Silver before you come to Gold that way you don’t get confused as who is who.
Basically I highly recommend you read Adele Huxley’s book!
With each novel Ms. Huxley amps up the suspense. Bronze was a chance for readers to get their feet wet as they got the lay of the land. Silver was right on the edge of the intrigue and Gold thrusts readers into the abyss of danger. Dangerous Games is about more than solving a mystery. It’s about not judging a person based on public opinion. It’s about risking your heart and even your well being to protect the people you love and lastly, it’s a chance to discover the traits that make a person more than just a gifted athlete, a pretty face or a dangerous foe. Gold is the climax to a ride that has been an emotionally challenging maze of puzzles but a delightful experience. A smartly written, change of pace for me.
Gold is the third book in the Dangerous Games Series and it is the BEST one! This book had my attention from the first word to the last one written. It starts off exciting, it’s riveting and I stayed glued to the book to the end! This book is action packed and there are twists and turns throughout the story. I love it!!!
Gold is Penny & Phoenix’s story. Along with other characters from the previous books.
You do need to start at the first book in the series Bronze and then Silver and now Gold.
This book ends in a way that there is no cliffhanger or surprises but, you know it isn’t the end. I have felt that this story and series is original. I haven’t read anything like it. The story is centered around Unity Games which is kind of like the Winter Olympics except the winner a will be a paid athlete and wins a substantial amount of money. So, there is a lot to gain and of course a lot to lose.
I Love the story and I give Gold 5 GOLDEN Stars.
