Love blossoms in the most unexpected of places in this sweet and steamy Cursed Ravens Motorcyle Club title featuring a hunky bad boy and a charming nurse. The men might tease Rogue and call him pretty behind his back, but no one is going to say that to his face. As the vice president of the Cursed Ravens–and with an unpredictable and unruly temper–respect is given to him at any cost. But … any cost.
But Rogue reins himself in when he visits his mother in a local nursing home. Overwhelmed with guilt that he can’t take care of her himself, he can barely handle watching her fade away with dementia. And he knows the staff is exceptional–especially the sweet and beautiful caregiver who pays extra attention to his mom.
It isn’t easy working at a nursing home, but Zoe enjoys spending time with her favorite patient Anne. She knows Anne has a son who dutifully visits her, but when Zoe sees the tall, muscled, handsome stranger, she can tell he’s trouble–beautiful trouble. She knows he’s a Cursed Raven and she knows better than to admit she’s attracted to him. There’s no way she’ll date an MC member. Been there done that. But as Zoe and Rogue start to get closer, they realize one way or another, they’ll have to fight to stay in each other’s lives.

“Sometimes you just have to go where the connection is.”
Each book I read in the Cursed Raven MC series makes me fall even deeper for them. I agree that they “—are all a mix of inappropriate and respectful, dangerous and goofy, which makes for a lot of fun.” Their sense of humor is contagious and their love and support for each other make me want to be part of their unique and beautiful family.
If you’ve read any of the previous books you will have already met Rogue. He’s the almost too gorgeous one who also has a beautiful voice. Needless to say, he has no lack of female companionship and you can see how he came by his road name. All he has to do is walk into a room, but then he goes and picks up his guitar and starts singing, and it’s all over. He’s more effective than tequila for making their clothes fall off.
Zoe meets Rogue’s mother first. She takes care of her at the nursing home where she works. She’s actually her favorite patient, often amusing her with her sass and wit. She’s not shy with her language or opinions and they enjoy each other’s company. When she first gets a look at Rogue he has the same effect on her as he does all those before her. She can’t deny he’s breathtaking and charming. He doesn’t hide his interest in her, but she shies away from agreeing to see him outside of the nursing home. Yes, she puts him in the ‘friend zone’, which is a first for him.
I really enjoyed this sweet and entertaining story, swooning and sighing as Rogue tries to bring her out of her shell. But I have to give the credit to her sister Vanessa for most of the laugh-out-loud moments. She’s a mess and I have a girl crush on her. I’ve been doing some mental matchmaking and I already have a man picked out for her. I know that she becomes family by association if her sister is with a member, but why not have a man of her own, right? I can’t wait to see who’s featured next, the line forms here…
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
Rogue is the VP of the Cursed Ravens MC and this is finally his story. After getting a glimpse of his in the other two stories, I couldn’t wait for his story and it was great. Not only is he the VP of the MC but he also visits his mother at a nursing home who is doing well at all. Rogue doesn’t want to accept the fact the his mother will not be around much longer. One day when he goes to visit his mom, he meets Zoe, a caregiver looking after his mom. He is taken by Zoe and wants to get to know her better.
Zoe really likes Anne, she is sweet, tough and talks like a sailor when the dementia isn’t acting up. She knows that Mrs. K has a son but has not met him yet. But when Zoe sees her son, she can’t believe her eyes. He is tall, dark, handsome and definitely trouble with a capital T. But Zoe is drawn to him and they begin to spend time together and the sparks fly.
Can Zoe adjust to Rogue being in the MC? He is VP after all, not just son guy pretending to be in a club. Can Rogue forgive Zoe for what happens with his mother? Will Zoe ever be able to move past the guilt she feels for what happened?
I love this series and think each book is better than the last, if that is possible. If you are looking for a really great MC story that focuses on the members and their women, then this series is the one for you. Read it, I hope you love it too.

Every time I think Chantal Fernando has written my favorite book boyfriend, she outdoes herself with another swoon-worthy guy. Rogue is oh, so swoon-worthy and all alpha male, yet still manages to know how to reel Zoe in without pushing too hard. I love the contrast between the family feel of this MC mixed with a bit of darker dealings and danger that the life entails. That darker part isn’t the focus and it isn’t overdone with the primary focus being on the romance between Rogue and Zoe. They have great chemistry and Zoe fits in well with the other women of the MC. As I’ve come to expect from this author, we also get some witty dialogue and humor along with some steamy fun and super sweet romance. This one is a great blend of love, loss, danger, tragedy, loyalty, and family. I don’t know if there’s another book planned for this series, but I would love to see everyone’s favorite Prez find his true love. (Not that I’m hinting or anything)
**I received a copy of Going Rogue from Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review**
Going Rogue by Chantal Fernando is the third book in her Cursed Ravens MC series and I have to say that I have lived all three but this one is the best one. This is Rogue and Zoe’s story and it will have your heart by the last page.
Zoe Kane works at a rehab/memory card facility where she meets Zeke “Rogue” Kennedy mother who has dementia and heart disease which is slowly robbing her of her memory. She’s sassy, hates mashed potatoes, and very opinionated. When she first meets Rogue and it’s not love at first sight but one that will instead a slow build up. Once she meets the ladies of Cursed Ravens she realizes that Rogue is one of the good guys (Even though he has to spend a night or two in Jail).
Zeke “Rogue” Kennedy is the Cursed Ravens Vice President who considers them his family. When he meets Zoe he knows she’ll need convincing once she realizes the Ravens are better than most MC good guys especially her old boyfriend. But it’s the guilt that his mother is slowly fading away and he’s glad that Zoe is there when he can’t be.
This story will tug at your heart and it will be the way everyone steps up to take care of Shovel’s son David that will give you the warm fuzzies. I really loved Mrs. K Rogue’s mom for the way she wasn’t hesitant to say what she thought. All in all great book and worth 4.8 stars that I’m giving it.
An intriguing, sweet, and heartwarming journey to go on with Rogue and Zoe. They have a wonderful connection and steamy chemistry. I enjoyed this ride with them.

This is the third book in the Cursed Ravens MC series, and YES you do need to read the previous books, it just makes things that are mentioned make more sense. With the returning characters and their stories still being brought up, don’t be confused, read books one and two…. they are amazing! This is Rogue’s story, and in book two we found out about his mother being ill and the stress and guilt that he is under. Rogue visits his mother almost every day, trying to get what time he can with her. When his encounter with one of the caretakers leaves him wanting to know more about her, he proceeds to make sure that on his visits he also sees her. Zoe knows that dating another biker is just asking for her heart to be stomped on, but Rogue isn’t taking no for an answer. So she will just have to be smart and do her best not to get too attached…. but that is not what happens, she falls just as hard and fast as he does. The only issues is can Zoe deal with everything that comes with being involved with the VP of an MC? Will she be able to hack it or will she cut and run?
I really liked this story, there was one plot issue that hopefully gets taking care of, but if you can get past that its a really good story. With drama, personal and MC kind, steamy sexy times, and some really funny bits, this was a good addition to the Cursed Ravens series, I give this 4.5 stars.

Another very enjoyable read from Chantal Fernando. This one is all about Rogue and Zoe’s relationship starting and the pair of them dealing with Rogue’s ailing mother. I can’t really say anything plot wise, but I enjoyed the story; it had a nice balance of drama, sexy times and romance. I may be wrong but I believe this is the last in this series, and I will certainly looking out for more from this author. I give Going Rogue 4.5 stars.
This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased, honest opinion.
You know how sometimes in series you start falling for one of the characters before they’ve had a chance to shine in the series or before they gotten their own story…..well this is what happened to me. I think I started falling for Rogue the second he was mentioned in book one. I really loved his character with his singing, charisma, and the fact he was mentioned as the pretty one didn’t hurt any lol. The only issue is, his book didn’t live up to the hype for me.
Rogue was still charismatic but there were other personality traits that popped up that weren’t so attractive. He ended up being quite…rude for lack of a better word. When things were going great, he was totally fine. When things started getting a little dicey…..he would step into this jerk mode. It’s strange because when it came to certain aspects, Rogue never went into jerk mode. He would stay in that category of being the entire package until it came to his relationship. Then things changed….at least in my opinion.
Zoe and her sister Vanessa were a great addition to this series. Their relationship was my favorite in this story. I loved how big Zoe’s heart was. She truly had a heart of gold and treated everyone she knew with the utmost kindness. Her sister, Vanessa, was also a really great character with her humor and giving zero craps attitude. I couldn’t wait to turn the page and see what kind of drama she had gotten herself into.
Overall, this was a pretty nice story. I think I just had too high of expectations going into it. I didn’t get a chance to root for Zoe and Rogue before they were already officially a couple. It seemed to happen way too quickly. The buildup just wasn’t there. I did get past it though and I agree that they are a good fit for each other. I just wish the characters had slowed down a bit. I also wish Rogue had acted differently in certain situations but hey, he’s free to act however he chooses.

Going Rogue was the third book in the Cursed Ravens MC series by Chantal Fernando.
Rogue was the gorgeous VP who was also the hidden musical talent within the MC. He and his two brothers were raised by their single mom. He was close to her but she was suffering from dimentia and didn’t even recognize him on some days. As a result, he had a heavy heart but he still visited her almost every day.
Zoe worked at the nursing home where Rogue’s mother lived. Anne was one of her favorite patients. She had heard about Anne’s gorgeous son but had never met him until they intersected in the parking lot one afternoon.
It was written from a single POV, Zoe’s. I loved both characters and couldn’t get enough. I also loved the supporting characters – both old and new. And Vanessa – OMG – she must have her own story. What a trip!
Although I loved the book, I desired more detail. Without Rogue’s POV, there were too many gaps within the MC storyline which made it confusing at times and I craved more information. Therefore, I rated it a 3.5; which rounded to a 4 on this review site.
I liked the overall storyline. Along with the relationship development, Fernando dove into the disease of dementia and the family impact. It was a tough subject but she portrayed it well.
All in all, it was a fairly quick read. It was also humorous, well written and entertaining. We still have a lot to look forward to with Shack, Shovel and Prez’s stories still to be told.
This book and its hero and heroine, Rogue and Zoe, completely melted my heart.
I laughed and I cried.
As a full time carer for my father who suffers from COPD (emphysema) and is housebound on oxygen support, needing help to complete basic necessities, I can understand and have a great deal of respect and admiration for those who work in aged care facilities, helping to care for those who are unable to or often need help in caring for themselves.
Rogue is a sexy, strong and loyal man who is struggling to accept, not just the bitter truth of his mother’s eventual passing, but the complete horror of having to not only watch her body slowly deteriorate but watch on helplessly as her mind and memories fade away due to her Alzheimer’s,
To say Rogue is going through difficult times would be putting it mildly.
Then he meets Zoe, his mother’s favourite carer and Rogue sees in Zoe someone who he wants to know more, who may even help him find a little peace.
Rogue and Zoe’s story is a beautiful tale full of love, laughter, tears of joy and heartbreak.
I have absolutely loved the Cursed Ravens series and feverently hope that there are more stories to come in the future.
If you haven’t read the Cursed Ravens series, I implore you to do so.
These are stories that aren’t to be missed.
This was a cute, low drama MC read. At Rome’s I was hoping that the MC would have tons of drama I’m kinda glad it didn’t. Zoe and Rouge were really cute and I’m really glad there wasn’t a ton of push and pull when it’s comes to the romance. The banter between them kept the story going at a good pace and all the secondary characters have me wanting to read the other books in the series. So if our looking for a good easy weekend read and you liked be a man that knows how to ride a bike and a woman, then this book is perfect. 4 stars #2OCCJD
So I have been waiting for Rogue’s story. And I might be in the minority on this one but I really expected more
Rogue and Zoe meet each other when Rogue goes to visit his mother in a home. Zoe wasn’t to sure about hooking up with a biker as she has been down this road before. But Rogue did his best to make her see that this time things will be different.
Rogue has so much going on in his life. Helping to take care of his best friends baby and visiting his mother every day, and then he meets Zoe. The more time he spends with her the more he falls for his mothers nurse.
This book was more focused on the romance of the biker world and not much biker action and bikers hard core life style. For some reason this book wasn’t as good as the previous ones. I wanted more action more drama. And the only time these two fought was at 95% in the book and then Rogue got mad at Zoe it wasn’t as dramatic as I wanted it to be as I felt like it was a bit rushed.
For those who love reading a bit tame biker books this one is definitely for you
Throughout the Cursed Ravens MC series there has been one character who has intrigued me the most over all and he goes by the name of Rogue.
Rogue is the Vice President of the Cursed Ravens MC. He’s the pretty boy of the club, but don’t tell him that, and he’s also the man who dominates the stage with his voice. I have been wanting Rogue’s story since the very first time he was mentioned in Ace of Hearts. I wanted to know more about this man and who he was on the inside.
Going Rogue isn’t all ‘pretty songs’ though. In Going Rogue we learn of Rogues mother and her struggle with Dementia. We also witness Rogue’s struggle and his inability to grasp his mother’s disease. Having had a grandmother that went through this disease, I relate to Rogue in many ways. My heart broke repeatedly for him. I admit I cried a few times when witnessing Rogue’s anguish.
One thing I loved about this novel that trumps all others is the fact that Zoe is a nurse working with elders who suffer with Dementia and Alzheimer. I loved the empathy that Zoe’s character added to this novel. She was a heartwarming source that helped heal the heartbreak.
Overall, Going Rogue was a great addition to the Cursed Ravens MC Series. Rogue was everything I wanted in a main character plus so much more. However, I feel as if a main aspect of Rogue’s character was looked over, that being his musician side. I felt in the other books Rogue was looked on as if he was a rockstar in the making. His voice was always mentioned, and I was a little let down that his voice was put on the back burner. I did really enjoy this novel, I just wanted more of the musician aspect mentioned and added.
I love being back in the world of the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club; their sense of family, brotherhood, and loyalty are what drive their actions and their decisions, and the women these men choose to give their hearts to give them exactly what they need amidst the danger and/or deadly circumstances their bikers face.
Zoe and Rogue may appear to be the quintessential ‘good girl’ and ‘bad boy,’ but upon closer inspection, there’s a sassy and adventurous woman beneath the sweet, caring, and compassionate caretaker and a man who loves his mother more than anything and feels helpless and haunted by the fact that he can’t save his mother or shield her from suffering.
Zoe and Rogue’s relationship starts slowly because of Zoe’s fears, but Rogue’s persistence and charm lowers Zoe’s defenses and even though Zoe remains hesitant, little by little, Rogue proves that he’s nothing like the guys from her past and that even though his life comes with a wide range of risks, it’s clear that she means something to Rogue and he’s not afraid to make his claim on her heart.
I love the bond that forms among the bikers’ old ladies and the fact that they watch out for each other, providing much needed insights and advice as the MC world can be difficult to maneuver.
Rogue’s mom, Mrs. Kennedy, and Zoe’s sister, Vanessa, add so much to the storyline; the fact that Zoe takes care of Rogue’s mom in the aged-care facility is what allows Zoe and Rogue’s path to cross and Vanessa helps Zoe to see just how isolated Zoe’s made herself since her last boyfriend’s lies and the death of her grandfather.
Going Rogue is a great addition to Chantal Fernando’s The Cursed Ravens MC series; this MC is more than a club…it’s a family and it means everything to each brother, and as a fellow biker finds his woman, she becomes vital to the club as well, and I’m hoping that Zoe’s sister, Vanessa, gets her own biker and becomes a part of the chaos and mayhem but more importantly, the love.
4 Poison Apples
I fell I love with the men of the Cursed Ravens MC almost immediately, and when Rogue made his first appearance I knew I just HAD to get to know him…intimately. I had been so excited to finally read his story and while I did enjoy everything about this book, I felt like I didn’t get enough of him.
In Going Rogue we follow Rogue and Zoe on their journey to love. Rogue’s mother has failing health and lives in an assisted living facility while Zoe is one in her caretakers. When Mrs. K has her good days, Zoe just adores the foul mouthed older woman and enjoys spending her work days talking to her. And on those bad days, her heart breaks to see her lost inside herself.
By chance she meets Mrs. K’s son, Rogue and shares an instant connection with him. But having been with a biker before she’s not sure he’s the type of guy she should be with; however, Rogue quickly shows her that he’s not what she expected. Beyond being beyond all realms of sexy, he’s kind and gentle and sweet. And Rogue just can’t resist her kindhearted nature and total sass.
With more of an “MC” style story line Going Rogue does give it more of a feel I’m used to in a MC romance and I just adored the characters and their story; especially Zoe’s wild, free-spirited hippie sister, Vanessa. I REALLY did enjoy this book. I think I just had my hopes of getting a bit more of a connection with Rogue. Nevertheless, this was another wonderful Cursed Ravens MC novel.
I loved the latest installment of this series!! Going Rogue is book three in the Cursed Ravens MC series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but I strongly recommend reading the first two books. Enjoyable series, so no hardship to read, I promise!!
I fell in love with Rogue in the first two books, this book just cemented it! He is totally and completely swoon worthy!!
As the VP of the Cursed Ravens, Rogue’s job is his life. He doesn’t have time for anything else, much less a relationship. When it comes to women, he has maintained a ‘hit it and quit it’ policy. Unfortunately, with club deals gone wrong and his mother succumbing to dementia, things have been exceptionally rough. In the mists of his struggles he runs in to Zoe, who makes him question his policy on attachments, because right now, she is exactly what he needs.
Zoe works as a nursing home caregiver. She enjoys her job and her quiet, structured life. After having her heart broken she just wants to lay low and keep it simple. Rogue however, is anything but simple. Zoe has to decide if she is willing to open up, risking the safety of her heart for a chance at the best relationship ever?
Who can resist a hot biker with a voice of an angel, especially when he is found singing to his dying mother or singing Moana to the children of his mc brothers? Seriously, how hot is it to see this sexy god when he steps in to care for his brother’s children? Loyalty and love for his family, the mc included, is Rogue’s strength. He embraces his duties and carries them out with appropriate levels of force & gentleness required. Again, swooning! #Ultimatebookboyfriend.
Rogue is determined to have a relationship with the stunning beauty he found caring for his mother. Despite her rebuffs, he keeps chipping away at her resolve. Their slow start nurtures a friendship and builds the sexual tension to a level we can’t wait to see combust! The mc women embrace Zoe and she quickly finds her place within the MC family. However, she continues to question her strength to handle all that befalls on the mc and its lifestyle. Is she strong enough to trust again? On top of all those questions comes the doozy! #herewego Rogue’s mother gives her a request that counters what Rogue wants. Will Zoe go against Rogue’s wishes and destroy everything they have built?
This is a great story! I highly recommend reading this series! It has an intriguing storyline that keeps you engaged and characters you will love. Including Zoe’s sister, Vanessa #nofilter she keeps it real and cracks me up. Drool worthy characters in some incredibly steamy scenes!! Still fanning myself! #hotmess I’m looking forward to the next installment! I really want a story with Gage. Hint, hint, Chantal!!!
4.5 Stars
What did I like about Going Rouge? Everything!
The characters are really fun. Zoe and Rogue both have an amazing sense of humor. And her sister is an absolute trip. She appears to be somewhat shy in the beginning, but it doesn’t take long for her to warm up. I think it just takes her longer to warm up to people since she has reservations and trust issues. But after reading more about her backstory, I can definitely understand why she is that way.
Rogue is another awesome character. He clearly has a sweet side that he shows to a few, and Zoe and her sister definitely find themselves in that category. He knew that he was going to have to gain Zoe’s trust, and we went all out for that. And the way that he was with him mom was so beautiful. He wasn’t afraid to show his fear of what was to come, but he also showed his own stubbornness. And the way he is with Zoe is very heartwarming. He still a biker, so he definitely has some arrogance and attitude. But it works for him.
Overall I really enjoyed the story. The characters were enjoyable and it was a fun read. I was able to read about some of the previous characters and got some small insight into others. And I am hoping that a romance will develop between two of the characters that were in this story, but that will be up to the author’s prerogative. I can definitely say I am going to look forward to the next book.
What’s the old saying? Third time’s a charm? That’s true in the case of this third story in this terrific MC series. The writing in this series is spectacular and the characters jump off the pages with great depth and lots of layers. A charming, sexy romance between the “pretty” bad boy biker, Rogue and the beautiful charming Zoe. Zoe cares for Rogue’s mother at an assisted living home and they have an encounter during one of his visits. These two have a funny cute-meet when Zoe’s sass charms the hunky Rogue. They had instant chemistry but Zoe knows he’s trouble even if she’s draw to him because of the way he treats his mother. She has so much sympathy for him. And as secondary characters go, Mrs. K is fabulous. Rogue is so panty melting and when he turns his alpha on Zoe she doesn’t stand a chance of resisting. These two are a beautiful couple with a steamy connection and a symbiotic relationship. There is some drama and heartache in the story that tests the couple but the love is always there. It’s great to catch up with the other brothers and their lives, loves and new additions. I look forward to the next story.
I’ve been curious about Rogue since the first book. All the characters have piqued my interest and I am a fan of Chantal’s so I knew that this would be another winner and I was right. This book was a sweet read that is light on action but big on comedy, entertainment, heart melting moments, sadness, intrigue and so much more. I really enjoyed it and couldn’t put the darn thing down which seems to be a trending pattern when I get my hands on a Chantal Fernando book.
He is the movie star gorgeous MC VP with the singing voice that melts hearts. Zoe is the sweet care giver at a home for those with dementia and she has a heart of gold and a sister that keeps her on her toes. We get to see a sweet side to Rogue and learn more about his past and what is going on in his present and I loved it. Zoe was absolutely perfect for Rogue. She keeps him on his toes and the love she has for those around her is just hard to deny. She learns she has new sides with her as well when the club gets into some trouble.
This is another must read in this series. I am really hoping we get more of Vanessa and maybe she will find herself a MC man of her own. No matter who is next I just know I am going to love it. I love all the men in this MC and I am eager to get the next!
Rounding out the trilogy with the Cursed Ravens’ charmer is a smart move. Rogue may be a ladies man; funny and charming to the ladies, he’s the exact opposite in his motorcycle club. Hot headed and quick to lay down the law, the VP isn’t one to mess with. His one vice? His mother, sick and near passing he visits her in her care daily. When a new day nurse arrives, Rogue is about to find a new weakness, one he’ll have to fight for.
Zoe hasn’t had much luck with men so focusing on her career gives her all the satisfaction she needs. When a patients smooth talking son continues to break down her walls, Zoe has to come to terms with his own career path, he’s part of a motorcycle club. Zoe’s had a brush with one in the past and she has no desire to try a second time to have her heart broken. But this tough looking biker is more than just a biker; hes a caring son and a loving man and Zoe may be the one woman to break down his gruff exterior.
Book 3 of this trilogy was a great union of the charmingly funny Ravens and the drama their club poses in their town. I liked that Rogue’s story developed outside of the MC. Zoe and Rogue had this little bubble where their relationship grew beautifully. As the dangers of an MC creep in, they have to fight harder for the bliss they find in one another. Twists and turns and happy ever afters aren’t always what they seem!
Going Rogue and the The Cursed Ravens MC Series is a softer biker series that just makes you feel good. While I normally crave the raw and gritty biker romances, I’ve come to enjoy the softer side from these men.
In Going Rogue, we get Rogue’s story. He’s the VP of the Curse Ravens and if you’ve been following this series, he’s probably been on your radar. He’s the one that was more in the background but you knew he was special and wanted more. Well, we got our more and let me tell you, he is definitely special. He’s strong, sexy, and has a huge heart. His love for Zoe was so sweet.
I also enjoyed Zoe. I thought she was strong when she needed to be and vulnerable when when necessary. Her relationship with not only Rogue but the rest of the club and their women is strong. In fact, that was one of my favorite things about the book. I loved how much the woman banded together and how much all the brothers loved each other and the women. It’s one big family that’s full of love, laughter, happiness and a few crazy moments.
If you want a softer biker romance that will make you swoon, then you need to get Going Rogue. It will leave you happy and full of love.
