Grip it softly.Stroke it smooth. And you’ll sink right into the hole. That’s my motto both on and off the golf course. The women come in full supply everywhere I go and there are no complaints. Maybe it’s the size of my driver that gets them going. I’m Lucas “Ace” Montgomery, professional golfer and world record holder for the longest drive in golf history. The PGA Tour has been my life, but it’s … my life, but it’s time for a break. A few relaxing weeks of drinking and golf with friends in Myrtle Beach is what I need. However, when a bright pink ball knocks me out on the course, and a blonde beauty comes to my aid, I expect to see a gallery girl, a.k.a a member of the Party Groupie Association. Trust me, those girls know how to have fun. Although, to my surprise, it’s not what I get at all.
Dr. Ashley Locke is beautiful and everything I’d want if I was ever to get serious about someone. Unfortunately, she has no interest in me whatsoever which only makes me want her more. All she wants is to get through her friend’s bachelorette weekend and go back to her life, but after injuring me on the course, I’m not letting her run away so easily. When I want something, I get it.
I’m not competing for money this time. All I want is to win her heart.

I’m addicted to L.P’s books and Going for the Hole is by far my favorite book. Lucas is a professional golfer and Ashley is a doctor who meets on vacation and their chemistry is instant. I love the banter they throw at each other and you will definitely laugh and have a smile on your face. The minute you start reading you will be immediately hooked. Another amazing story with amazing characters that will give you all the feels.
Terrible,
It’s like a good chick flick but a book. The golf element attracted me and was a novel touch in a sea of formulaic books.
So bad. Poorly written. Continuity issues.
Good book. I am just glad I am not with a celebrity, they have no privacy what so every, I would hate that. Otherwise very well written. I am not sure I would have stayed silent when having to deal with Sophia though, she needed to be put in her place. I loved it when just before Olivia was to get married, she put Sophia in her place and told her she knew she had lied. I loved it.
Going for the Hole has to be my favorite book so far from L.P. Dover or maybe a close 2nd to “It Must’ve Been the Mistletoe.” This book was a great read all the way through and there was not one point where I wanted to put the book down.
Doctor meet golf pro, of course that works! I am not sure if this book was so good because this is definitely a storyline I have never read, but it was a great story with hilarious characters that had me smiling like a crazy loon as I read the book.
Ashley and Lucas meet in a resort in Myrtle Beach when Ashley is preparing for her brother’s wedding and Lucas just wants a break from the limelight of being a famous golfer. Enter Harper, Ashley’s best friend, and Lucas’ brother Aiden and best friend Noah and now you have the recipe for full on debauchery and crazy sexual chemistry to ensue.
Ashley and Lucas back and forth banter really made this story fun and light, the sex scenes steamy and their relationship relatable. Although towards the end there were some parts that were cheesy it didn’t turn me off from reading further and truly enjoyed every part of this book.
I would recommend this book to all of my fellow book lovers.

L.P. Dover has become such a favorite author that I knew I could not pass up Going for the Hole. Her novels are fun and sexy and always have sassy dialogue and spitfire banter. Lucas and Ashley fit this mold to a Tee. This novel is fun and sexy and such a blast to read.
When Ashley meets Lucas, her no nonsense attitude doesn’t allow her to see forever with him but rather as a quick and fun interlude while at a Bachelorette party. But when Lucas sets his eyes on Ashley as his lifelong prize, the fireworks were palpable! I loved their chemistry and passion and couldn’t get enough of their story!
I loved this story’s hilarious moments, fiery chemistry and emotional depth. All in all this was a great read and another delicious novel by this author! Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula
Going for the Hole is a funny, entertaining, and informative book, and I loved it, even though I am not a huge fan of golf. It is the story of golf superstar Lucas Montgomery, who along with his brother and best friend go on a trip to Myrtle Beach, another thing I loved about this book as I have been there many times. Dr. Ashley Locke is at the beach for a bachelorette party for her future sister-in-law, and even though she doesn’t play in the same league as Lucas, she is a pretty good golfer, except for one little mishap with a pink golf ball.
Not only is this book funny and sexy, it has some really fantastic secondary characters who are busy finding their own love interests, along with some not so fantastic secondary characters. It is told in dual POV and the story line flowed easily. A great book that also brings awareness to Adrenal Insufficiency, a very rare illness that needs to be researched more.
Five sunshiny stars for this one!!
This is a new standalone from LP dover. It’s a great read. I’ll be honest, I hate golf. I find it boring and I normally wouldn’t get a book that has it in it. But LP is a must read for me. I will read anything she writes.
Ashley is a doctor. She finds herself at her soon-to-be sister-in-law’s week long bachelorate celebration.
Lucas is a pro golfer, one of the best. He needs a break before he gets burnt out.
I loved how these two met. And I loved the bet and how the bet ended.
I really thought Sophia would cause problems for them. I wasn’t expecting it from who did cause them.
This book kept me interested from cover to cover.
And I learned something new. I have never heard of Adrenal Insufficiency before.
