I enjoyed it
I enjoyed getting into the mind of an ironman competitor. Reading about characters in a blended family that actually works was wonderful.
The author did a very nice job of weaving a murder mystery with the the pain and sacrifice of training for an Ironman and balancing life. I especially enjoyed her internal conversations at IM Kona. I heard those voices too at shorter tri’s.
I loved it. As an athlete (not tri) and a widow I identified with the characters. Great plot too!
the story was awful and i couldn’t put it down.
It kept me captivated throughout and I can’t wait for more hopefully with the same characters. Since I totally enjoyed the writing style I’m game for anything this author writes.
I only read a few chapters. I couldn’t get into it, partly because it read like I had started several chapters in. The biggest reason (and this is a semi-spoiler) is that the author made the husband likeable and the marriage good and then the author killed him off. I quit before I got to that part as I don’t find that entertaining!
Interesting look into Ironman culture/endurance.
I liked this book! I learned about iron man training and the commitment it requires. I thought the blended family issue was handled sensitively and liked the way the widow fought through her shocking loss.
Real life drama. Everything is not always ok. Losses & fear along with joy.
Really liked the story and how complex it was. Surprise ending which I enjoyed.
This is a powerful story of one woman’s journey from love to tragedy to redemption…redemption made possible by her commitment to her quest….a quest that is fueled by her devotion to her late husband….and finding his murderer.
A well-crafted new thread in the WDKY series!

This book was an emotional roller coaster! It had me crying in Chapter 5! The characters are awesome, complex and interesting and some are devious. This story will make you laugh and cry, feel every kind of …

This was an interesting book about the journey of an Ironman (woman) triathlete. It was also a well-done mystery that had enough twists and turns to keep me engaged. It helped me understand the mindset of such an incredible athlete while weaving in an unpredictable storyline along the way. I haven’t ever read a similar book, which in and of itself …
