Former Marine Jacob Tinney found a new life within the Rebel Wayfarers MC in Fort Wayne. The club’s members took in Jacob, known as Jock, watched over him as their own, and sustained him with reasons to hold his PTSD at bay for another day.Into this good life sashayed Silly, Sylvia Perez, a quirky tattoo artist, friend of the club, and woman who hid so much of herself behind a façade. Jock was … Jock was first intrigued, then enamored, and finally, consumed with lust—and love.
But when Silly is offered the chance of a lifetime to run her own tattoo shop down near the Big Easy, there’s little he can do except tell her goodbye. Until an unexpected suggestion comes his way.
What if he could keep the brotherhood of a club, the camaraderie he needed, and transfer that to another patch?
Could he leave the RWMC and patch over?
Going Down Easy is a crossover book between the Rebel Wayfarers MC and the Incoherent MC (from the Neither This Nor That book series).

This one was one that took no time at all to wrap around me. The characters Jock and Silly were the cause of the take over of my mind and heart with the story that unfolded of them. They have the help of other characters as they find a spot for them. As they grow they also go in a new direction that this author is able to have us forget for a minute where we are. Get the treat of more than one club also. This author has us taking these two to heart with a lasting impression.
MariaLisa deMora did a fantastic job of creating this crossover story! Jock has a scared past but that never bothered Silly. They’ve overcome a lot together but now they face one of the biggest obstacles. With the kind of man Jock is and what kind of brother he’s been with the Rebels, he and Silly find a new place to call home with the help of Mason and Twisted. Though no men can take the place of the Rebel Wayfarers, the guys from Incoherent MC will make a great addition of brothers for Jock. Jock and Silly can finally have it all.
We met Jock after Gunny saved his dog Tank and then helped him as a struggling veteran returning to civilian life. Jock became a Rebel Wayfarer and a loyal brother. What he doesn’t see coming is Silly, a gorgeous talented tattoo artist. When Silly has the chance to grab what she wants in New Orleans Jock is left reeling. But in typical RW fashion Mason arranges a behind the scenes meeting with Twisted from the Incoherent MC, providing Jock with choices and continued support of brotherhood. Jock and Silly are hot and sizzling together and the reader is left cheering on this strong couple.
Visiting the world of the RWMC is my most favorite thing to. Meeting Jock and seeing his love for Silly…well, that was icing on the cake.
There is a way that MariaLisa deMora paints a picture with her characters that just warms my heart. Her Rebels have an air about them. They’re tough, no hold barred, yet so vulnerable all at once. Jock was the epitome of that. Plagued with PTSD, his Silly knows how to sooth him during his episodes without making him feel weak. It was admirable how her love made him whole. His brotherhood with the Rebels was his saving grace.
Fearing what a separation from Silly would do to him, not only his psyche but his heart, several rallied for him to find a resolution that would benefit the clubs and keep Silly and Jock together.
I can’t tell you how happy it made my heart for these two characters to get a happy ending they deserved. The RWMC and IMC are filled with men I admire and love. All due to the amazing storytelling of MariaLisa deMora.
Jock’s life hasn’t been easy. After leaving the military he has scars that can’t be hidden and he suffers from PTSD. His RWMC brothers saved him and has become his only family and that was all he needed. Brothers standing by him no matter what…And then he meets Silly it seems like his demons are finally quieting down.
Silly is a renownend tattoo artist and her life revolved around giving people peace by giving them tattoo’s that for some makes them feel whole again, for others it tells a story of what their life is like. And when she met Jock what was suppose to be a some fun, turned into something so much more. And now finally when she has everything she ever wanted, fate steps in and is wanting her to choose between her passion and the love of her life.
Wow this was a beautiful story. My heart just broke for Jock and when it seemed like he was finally happy, the one person that made him feel complete was going to leave him. How will he deal with this. Emotionally story and so many other characters from previous series (if you have read the previous ones) makes this a great read.
Title: Going Down Easy
Author: MariaLisa deMora
Genre: Contemporary MC Romance
**RECEIVED ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW**
I wasn’t a fan of this book at first. Jock and Silly were not my favorite characters. This crossover story, the more I read, really grows on you.
The most endearing aspect of this author’s writing in every book I have read is the heartfelt care and sensitivity she uses to write about social issues. From sexual orientation to mental illness. Jock suffers from PTSD and anxiety born from betrayal that occurred while in the military. So at first he can be seen as a little weak. In the MC Romance genre you expect the alpha bad boy. You know the caveman hitting the woman over the head image. But this book is more about finding peace within yourself and acceptance. Finding your tribe. Finding that place of healing.
Every book I read by this author is a character study in human psychology. Loss, love, heartbreak, healing…in the end acceptance that leads to happiness.
The Rebels are back! All your favorites show up to help Jock, one of the newest patched brothers. Jock has severe PTSD, has found a home with the Rebels. Gunny and his family are very close to him, as they fostered his dog while overseas.
Silly is the tattoo artist for the Rebels. She has inked many of the brothers. When her boss offers her a chance at her own studio, how can she turn it down? The problem, The Big Easy is far from Chicago. Does she turn down her dream, to stay with her man?
Jock wants the best for Silly, even if it means losing her. He can’t see anyway to be a Rebel and be with her. The Rebels have helped him so much with his PTSD, and he loves the brotherhood. He shouldn’t be worried, as with all other things, Mason and the boys have his back.
Enjoy returning to the Rebel world. The author does a brilliant job with Silly and Jock.
I love the Rebels. I LOOOOOVE Twisted, Po’Boy, Retro, Wrench……well you get the picture….so anytime I have a shot at getting them crossed over together in one story….MAGIC!!
Jock, we met in ‘Gunny’s Pups’, and I loved that he got to stick around! He was so damn hurt and broken. He needed a family. He needed Gunny! He needed The Rebels and he needed to meet Silly.
I’ve thought a lot about how I should review this…how to try and get across just how good this book is, cuz it’s fantastic! The way MariaLisa deMora listens to all the crazy voices she hears talking to her, and then puts down for us to read, the journeys of these men and women is remarkable, every single time!
She never fails to make me laugh. She never lets me go without jerking a tear (or 20 gut-wrenching sobs) out of me. She never releases me from reading her pages without making very sure that I feel every fear, every horror, every stuggle, and every single joy that this family she has given to all of us, experiences. She has made every man, woman, child, and pup larger than life and I wait for any chance I get to hear what has been going on in their lives since I got to catch up with em last!
Now having said all that….’Going Down Easy’ is Jock and Silly’s story. It is amazing as amazing can get and I can’t wait for y’all to read it! But what keeps sticking in my head the most with this story, is just how damn grateful I am to this author for writing it…. and all of the others….the way that she does.
Jock Tinney was a Marine. He’s had a hard time coming back. That’s a way to simple, but I’m just gonna leave it at that for now. My baby just joined the Army. We haven’t found out yet when he’s leaving…but it’s done….he’s going. This wasn’t a surprise. We’ve know most of his life that this was where he was headed….and don’t get me wrong, I’m prouder that I can ever say of My Boy. I’m also scared to death. That’s my BABY y’all. The point I’m trying to make and I’ll try to quit babbling enough to get to it is this…… I’ve had the pleasure of reading time and time again the love, respect, admiration, and care that MariaLisa uses with every word she puts on paper when she’s passing on the stories of Her Veterans to us. It matters to her. It matters in the words she puts on her pages. It matters in the work she does. It matters in the lives she touches.
When My Boy comes home…..whenever he comes home…..I hope he always feels that love, respect, admiration, and care. He’ll have it in this house of course! But he’ll need it from outside of this house as well. And I know he’ll have it.
This was another outstanding addition to the Rebels Wayfarers MC and Incoherent MC Family Chronicles!!! Y’all get to reading!
