Hot fling or real thing? There are no Big Easy answers in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Erin Nicholas’s sultry series. As far as flings go, single dad Gabe Trahan is pretty sure that Addison Sloan is his best bet. Once a month, Addison comes to New Orleans and then… happily-no-strings-attached sex. And beignets. And jazz. But lately for Gabe, it isn’t nearly enough.
Sure, maybe Addison’s gotten a bit hooked on Gabe. After all, who can resist a guy who’s so sexy, so charming, and so…available? But maybe he’s too available for her right now. Addison’s just moved to New Orleans, and relationships are definitely off the table. Besides, guys always bail when they learn her secret: she’s a single mom.
Only Gabe’s not running. Worse, he’s thrilled. But Addison never signed up for ever-after romance, and Gabe won’t settle for anything less. Now it’s a battle of wills—and when it comes to the woman he’s falling for, Gabe isn’t above playing a little dirty.

This book is basically what would have happened if the movie One Fine Day covered more than one day. What I loved the most was how involved the kids were with the plot. A lot of single parent romances seem to forget about the kids for the majority of the story, but this one has the kids front and center. You get to see how Addison’s strict parenting style with her daughter differs from Gabe’s somewhat hands off parenting of his son. Also, you get to see Gabe and Addison interact with each other’s kids, resulting in a lot of cute family bonding scenes. And finally, the cherry of the sundae, this book also manages to squeeze in quite a few steamy sex scenes, which you don’t find much in romance novels where both main characters are single parents.
So if you love single parent romances, cute family scenes, steamy love scenes, and hilarious dialogue, I highly recommend this book.

Love Addison and Gabe but I think their children might have stolen the show. From flings to love with some bumps in the road along the way. Love this new series.
A wonderful cannot put it down book! I love love love how Erin Nicholas has made a beautiful love story about two single parents. It is such a real story line that you cannot help falling deep in and not wanting to come up for air!
All the feels! I really enjoyed this story about single parents finding love. This particular book is unique in that we start in the middle — Gabe and Addison have already been hooking up. But neither knows about the other one’s child, and we come in just before things get messy. They have to decide if they will be brave enough to try a real relationship. Gabe and Addison are a perfect match for each other. The whole thing was sweet, funny, and very hot.
Gabe Trahan and his brother Logan owned a bar in New Orleans. Addison Sloan lived in New York and came to New Orleans once a month and spent the weekend with Gabe. Their relationship was sex, fun and no responsibilities. Addison was an architect and loved old buildings. Her friends company is going to update the bar for Gabe and Logan. Her friend has talked Addison into moving to New Orleans and working at her company. Gabe finds out through her friend, and asks Addison if she was going to see him again. She told him no, that they had a good time but she couldn’t get serious. She had one thing she knew would turn him off—a five year old girl. Gabe was happy about that as he has a five year old boy. Addison tells him she doesn’t want to be a mother again. She gives her daughter everything she needs, but doesn’t want to be responsible for another child.
This was a good book on two single parents coming to terms with the way they were parenting each of their children. They had two different ideas, but they also had two children with different types of personalities. I loved how they could bring the best out in the other, and support the other’s weaknesses. I love books with children, and these two were so interesting. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
NO SPOLIERS… I am in love with this first book in the Big Easy series. Erin has knocked it out of the ball park with the twist and turns and hot hot romance. This book is unpredictable with lots of twist and turns on will they stay together or go on the own way. The characters are so well developed they become a part of you. Gabe and Addison are so freakin hot together how can they stay apart…Well done Erin
Loved Addison and Gabe. Awesome book.
This book was fantastic!!
It felt different from anything I’ve read from Erin Nicholas before but still felt true to her storytelling. The pacing was great and don’t even get me started on the character development!!
Gabe was SO alpha but in a unique and refreshing way. I wish that more authors would write heroes like Gabe. He was so damn sure of wanting more with Addison and he was even more confident that it was going to happen and he didn’t hide it from anyone. At the same time he never tried to forced Addison into feeling or moving forward with anything until he knew that it was her decision. Addison was the perfect yin to his yang.
I loved how big of a role their kids played in this story too. Too often kids are written in as a sort of afterthought to the romance or just as an obstacle to the couples HEA. This was NOT the case here. Both kids were a very integral part to the growth of Addison and Gabe as individuals and as a couple. Their opposing parenting styles offered an even greater insight to who they were and the ways they still struggled with life, live and growth. There was some aspects of this book that really hit me in a way I wasn’t expecting and made me examine my own parenting style and forced me to feel ways I never expected to when I started this book.
This was a spectacular introduction to this series and certainly did a great job piquing my interest in the other characters. I can’t wait for more!!
This has to be Erin Nicholas’ hottest book to date. Gabe and Addison seriously set the sheets on FIRE!!! Not only was Going Down Easy sexy, but it was also full of family, friendship, single parenting, love, heart and laugh out loud moments. It’s a fantastic read and book 1 in the new Boys of the Big Easy series. I highly recommend this one!
Happy reading! 😀
Going Down Easy is the latest swoon-worthy romance from author Erin Nicholas. Told from dual points of view, Going Down Easy follows the story of Gabe and Addison. When Gabe and Addison first got together, it was just supposed to be for one night. However, one night quickly turned into a fun, flirty, no strings-attached fling. No promises of tomorrow, just mind blowing sex. Gabe and Addison have had the best time together, and lately Gabe has been feeling like he needs more. He wants a real relationship with Addison, not just a romp in the bed…Addison won’t admit this, but she’s pretty hung up on Gabe. I mean, he is completely irresistible. However, Gabe wants things that Addison is quite ready for. She’s had a lot of major changes in her life lately and isn’t ready to take on a relationship of any kind. You see, Addison has a secret she’s been keeping from Gabe and she knows once she tells him, he’ll run for the hills…Or will he? Will Addison take a chance on a once in a lifetime romance with Gabe or will her fears ruin everything?? There’s only one way to find out…
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I was hooked on Gabe and Addison from the very beginning. I thought the chemistry between the two of them was explosive and I was really excited to see where their story would go. Now, I’m not gonna lie to you, Addison did make me a little batty in the beginning. I hated the way she tried to push Gabe away when he wanted more. But, I did understand where she was coming from. She never planned on being on a mom and had a hard time accepting when it happened to her. She quickly found herself raising a child all on her own with no outside help at all. So, when Gabe came around and turned out to be a single parent as well, I think that really threw her for a loop. As much as she loves her daughter, she wasn’t looking to add anymore children into the mix. So, being with Gabe went against her plan. However, Gabe wasn’t so easily deterred. This man knew what he wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it. He had insecurities when it came to love and parenting just like everyone else. But, he knew that what he had with Addison doesn’t come around that often, so he was willing to fight and prove to Addison that he was worth the risk.
Going Down Easy is a fun and flirty romance. I loved the characters and found them very easy to relate to. I loved watching Gabe and Addison figure things out and overcome their fears. Addison learned that it was ok to depend on someone else, while Gabe learned that it’s awesome to have support, but he’s fully capable of doing it all on his own. These two characters grew a lot throughout their story and it was joy to watch their romance come full circle. I really enjoyed reading this book and getting lost in the story this author has written.
I’ve read plenty of single parent books over the years but I think Going Down Easy might be my favorite. Gabe and Addison are both single parents, while neither of them know the other is because they have a monthly rendezvous when Addison come to New Orleans, from New York, for business once a month. Gabe is the father of 5 year old Cooper, he moved in with his mother to help raise Cooper and also gets help from his brother Logan. Addison is Mom to 5 year old Stella and has basically no support system. They each have different parenting styles. I love watching Gabe and Addison fall in love with each other as well as each other’s children. Watching both Gabe and Addison adapt to each other and parenting styles while in a relationship is so much fun to watch. Another great book by Erin. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series
Ah, a wonderful story of a pair of single parents.
Gabe and Addison are having a weekend fling once a month. Unfortunately Gabe seems more into it than Addison. Addison hopes that throwing out that she has a little girl would send Gabe running. Nope Gabe loves it.
Loved this story!!!
Holy Moly, BatMan….A new series from Erin Nicholas, set in the steamy south in New Orleans. We get to meet a whole new family and town, new couples, new significant others…and have a good ole’ Cajun backdrop to read about.
Going Down Easy is the first story. It introduces us to the Trahan family. Gabe is the easy going brother and son. He is raising his son, Cooper, with the help of his mom and brother. He runs the family pub and is liked by everyone. Especially Addison Sloan.
Addison only comes to town once a month and they spend their time locked up in each other. It’s predictable and perfect, until it isn’t….Addison has her own life in New York, including her daughter, Stella.
Can a relationship like this work, in the long term? Do they even want it to? When the rules change and Addison is nearby all the time, what does it mean for this couple?
Fireworks, lots of steamy Bayou scenes, some up close alligator time and wait to see where this is going….I have a feeling we have lots of steamy relationships
Going Down Easy is book one in the brand new series, Boys of the Big Easy, by Erin Nicholas. Prepare to fall in love with Gabe, one of two brothers that own their own bar in New Orleans.
Gabe Trahan was smitten with Addison Sloan the first time she walked into his and his brother, Logan’s bar. She went home with him that night and spent the rest of the weekend with him. Then she went home to New York where she was a restoration architect. She had been in New Orleans that weekend consulting with a local firm. Then, one month later, she walked in again. For six months, one weekend a month Addison would walk in to Gabe’s bar. They would spend the weekend having mind blowing sex, and touring the city of New Orleans. Addison loved everything to do with his city.
Addison was finding it harder and harder to say good-bye to Gabe at the end of their weekends. Which was a huge red flag to her. She didn’t want a relationship. She had a busy career and a five year old daughter to raise. So when the firm that she had been consulting with in New Orleans offered her a full time job, she jumped at it to move to the city she had fallen in love with. But she knew that she would have to end things with Gabe.
“Gabe Trahan was the kind of guy that hearts just went a little nuts over. He was funny and sexy and sweet and dirty and confident and charming and gorgeous.”
Gabe was finding himself thinking of Addison constantly between her visits. When he found out she had moved to New Orleans, he was all in. He wanted more from her. She thought he would run for the hills when she told him she had a daughter. But his reaction was just the opposite. He was thrilled, because he also had a child, a five year old son named Cooper. He always wanted to have more children.
These two couldn’t have been more different in so many ways. Addison let her adventurous daughter experience life independently, always knowing her Mom was nearby if she needed her help. She wasn’t a very demonstrative woman and was determined to raise her daughter on her own, by her own rules, not allowing anyone else to have any input in her decisions. Gabe’s son Cooper was very cautious and Gabe tended to be a bit protective of him as a result. Gabe was always touching people, hugging them, showing affection. His easy way was so evident in the way he was with little Cooper. Gabe’s mother and brother helped him to raise his son and Gabe also attended a weekly single parents meeting which gave him a huge support system.
When Addison tries to end things with Gabe, he’s not taking no for an answer. But he will be patient. He finds ways to let her see on her own that allowing he and his son into their lives could work.
I want to stop here and tell you that first, you are going to fall in love with Gabe. He was so sexy and when he was together with Addison, they burned up the pages. They were hot! He had the dirtiest mouth! You are also going to love these two kids. Little Cooper was so precious and Stella was the most adorable little girl. It took me a little longer to warm up to Addison. At first, I didn’t like the way she tried to be so independent. Even though I understood the reasons why. What I really loved, though, was the influence they had on each other. Gabe showed Addison that it was okay to give up a little bit of the responsibility, of the control. To let others in. Little Cooper was so cautious and Stella helped him to be brave.
This was such a feel good, sexy, sweet story and I really enjoyed it. I absolutely loved the ending. I don’t know who the next book will be about but I’m definitely hoping it will be about Gabe’s brother, Logan.
Erin Nicholas has done it again! Her writing style won’t let you put this book down.
It starts in a local family owned bar. Gabe is introduced to Addison and there is no denying the attraction. They may think it is a fling, a one night stand, but when Addison returns to do some architectural work at her friend’s firm again the following month she can’t stay away. She finds herself back at Trahan’s.
Gabe can’t believe his eyes when he looks across the bar and sees Addison. He knows there is something special about her and he can’t live without her. Although he has only seen her one weekend a month for the last 6 months, he knows he wants more. What is he supposed to think when he finds out she has moved to New Orleans and didn’t tell him?
Addison wants to focus on building a new life for her daughter and herself in a new city. Gabe is determined to include Addison and her daughter in his life. The children are a very important and endearing part of this story. I might have loved Cooper and Stella a little more than Gabe and Addison! While Gabe and Addison help each other through feelings and emotions they have buried deep, Stella helps Cooper face his fears, too.
This is an excellent read and I can’t wait for the second book to be released!

Erin Nicholas really knows what her readers want. She always delivers a fabulous read. Erin can wrap you up in a book from the beginning and leave you wanting more at the end. Her books never fail to deliver. You are guaranteed to get a fabulous read every time. Erin Nicholas is the epitome of what an amazing and perfect writer is. Her books are full of everything from sexy to sweet to romantic to fun and adventurous to even a bit of angst. Erin Nicholas writes heart felt moments that always captivated her audience. Her books are so much more than just romance. She has a very unique and sexy way of writing that is just perfect.
Going Down Easy by Erin Nicholas is an absolute fabulous read. It has a bit of sexy and a bit of romance plus some adventurous and playful moments. What starts out as just two grown and consenting adults looking to just have a good time every now and then turns into so much more than either could have imagined. The backdrop being New Orleans was also amazing. New Orleans is definitely a great and fun city.
In Going Down Easy we meet Gabe Trahan and Addison Sloan. Two people with a secret. When they first meet they are just looking to have some fun however it’s not long before fun is not all they want. Addison thinks she can scare Gabe off when she gets transferred to New Orleans for her job with her big secret but little does she know he can scare that easy due to his secret. I love watching both Gabe and Addison come together and overcome their struggles. Gabe and Addison were perfectly matched. May I just say when the two of them get together WOWZER. Talk about sexy.
There was not one aspect of Going Down Easy that I didn’t love. From the title to Gabe and Addison to Cooper and Stella to all the great secondary characters. Everything about this book was perfect. I have never been to New Orleans and I have always been on the fence about it however after reading Erin’s detailed description of New Orleans and the ambiance and food I now want to visit New Orleans. I have to admit reading Going Down Easy made me hungry for Seafood Pot Pie, Praline Milkshake, Brown Butter Pecan Pie and Beignets. I will tell you that I’ll never look at Beignets the same. I loved the details in this book and even the history of New Orleans we get. My emotions were captured in this book from page one and kept me going throughout the entire book. I really love Cooper and Stella. I really loved the last page of chapter two. I was laughing. Going Down Easy is unique from other books because you get everything wrapped in one book. I mean hot bartenders and sexy fun and even history of a great city and a bit of tourism information. Erin left me feeling as if I was in New Orleans and as if I knew Gabe and Addison. I felt a connection. Just think this is only book one of a brand new series by Erin Nicholas. I can’t wait for the other books. Grab your copy and fall in love with New Orleans and Gabe and Addison and see why Erin Nicholas is the author of the year
Erin Nichols has done it again. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between Gabe and Addison was so unbelievable. Two single parents finding love again. The best part about the whole book for me has to be Cooper and Stella. I would so recommend this book to all my friends. The story line and flow of the book was great. I will definitely reread this book again. Can’t wait for the rest of the series to come out.

This book has lots of sex and lots of cussing. If those things l cause you to leave a bad review, this is not the book for you.
I have to confess that for a chunk of the beginning of this book, I. Couldn’t. Stand. Addison. I just couldn’t. As a woman who would *literally* give up a limb to be physically able to have a child of my own that I could begrudge and totally take for granted like Addison did Stella at the beginning of the book, I really found her resentment of, and her thoughts about, her daughter incredibly off-putting. Not that I expect all sunshine and rainbows in the inner thoughts of a single mother, of course. I know from helping raise my nephew that that being a single mom is hard and thankless, but she just came off as incredibly harsh and cold at the beginning. I think that it was especially startling because we hadn’t seen her interact with Stella at all before we read her barrage of negative thoughts about her situation and her choices in life – we just found out she had a daughter and that she really, really didn’t like being a mom to the point where she rarely snuggled with her own child. But Addison warned me that, as a woman without children, I wouldn’t identify with her, so I plugged on and kept reading and to my surprise, I eventually wound up really liking her a lot. Of course, if there were ever two women who needed someone like Gabe Trahan to bring balance to their lives, it would have been Addison and Stella. Gabe and Cooper (and their assorted family and friends) brought out the best in Addison and really softened her harsh edges. She went from someone that I couldn’t stand to someone that I really, really liked and whose happily ever after made me sigh dreamily. I loved the way that Addison interacted with Cooper, the way she cared for him without seeming to notice that was what she was doing, and I loved that her relationship with Stella seemed to grow stronger and sweeter thanks to the Trahan boy and their influence on her life. Gabe was everything that I want in a book boyfriend. Despite his doubts about his abilities, Gabe was just a solid, good guy (who also happens to be dead sexy – bonus!) and the fact that he so openly and unashamedly adored his son was nothing short of swoon-worthy.
That epilogue was absolutely brilliant, and I couldn’t have asked for more. It was the perfect ending to their story.
I also loved all of the side-characters. They were the perfect additions to make Addison and Gabe deeper characters, but they didn’t overwhelm the story to the point where it got too cluttered with side-characters and pointless plot points. Ms. Nicholas is one of the best at incorporating other characters with just the right balance. This book also lays the foundation for the possibility of so many books down the road and if they’re anything like this one, I can’t wait to read all of them!
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a fantastic single-parents story, or a sweet casual-lovers-to-serious-relationship story. You will not be disappointed.
Another fantastic book by Erin Nicholas! I absolutely love the chemistry between Gabe and Addison. You don’t see many books with both characters being single parents and it was interesting to read about it. I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for this series!

Erin Nicholas never ever disappoints! Her books always leave me smiling and anxious for the next one. Love the New Orleans setting!
