Hot fling or real thing? There are no Big Easy answers in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Erin Nicholas’s sultry series. As far as flings go, single dad Gabe Trahan is pretty sure that Addison Sloan is his best bet. Once a month, Addison comes to New Orleans and then… happily-no-strings-attached sex. And beignets. And jazz. But lately for Gabe, it isn’t nearly enough.
Sure, maybe Addison’s gotten a bit hooked on Gabe. After all, who can resist a guy who’s so sexy, so charming, and so…available? But maybe he’s too available for her right now. Addison’s just moved to New Orleans, and relationships are definitely off the table. Besides, guys always bail when they learn her secret: she’s a single mom.
Only Gabe’s not running. Worse, he’s thrilled. But Addison never signed up for ever-after romance, and Gabe won’t settle for anything less. Now it’s a battle of wills—and when it comes to the woman he’s falling for, Gabe isn’t above playing a little dirty.

Enjoyed it. Looked for the others in the series too.
Oh, how I wanted this book to work for me…. I am so sad that I just didn’t…
I have heard amazing things about Erin Nicholas. When I read the blurb for Going Down Easy (Boys of the Big Easy #1), I was so excited that there was a new series of hers that I could get in on. What a flop… For me at least. I hate it when I really want to discover an author that has been on my TBR list for a while, and I get no satisfaction.
Hmmm…. Sounds like a song…
I will have to circle back to Erin Nicholas’ work when a new series starts, or I read some of her older work. Going Down Easy (Boys of the Big Easy #1) just simply was not the book for me. It lacked connection to the characters. When that happens, it makes it hard for the storyline to work.
Don’t worry, I will try again!!

This is book 1 in the Boys of the Big Easy series and it features Gabe and Addison. Gabe is amazing! As I’m reading I can see him and hear his voice. This author is a master at writing sexy, confident, dirty talking, alpha men. Gabe Trahan may have met his match in Addison Sloane. I love how she’s up for WHATEVER with him. They both go through some real soul-searching and self-discovery. The kids are absolutely adorable.
I’ll never look at powdered sugar the same way again. This is a fantastic story with equally fantastic characters. Bravo Erin Nicholas! You’ve hit it out of the park…again. I can’t wait to read more of this totally engrossing, sexy series.
I wanted to like this. I had high (maybe too high?) hopes but was underwhelmed. It was just ok.
Gabe was clingy and Addison was self absorbed. Although, I felt that Addison’s character was written inconsistently. There were many inconsistencies in plot and scenes as well.
What really got to me was the constant use of those run-together-hyphenated-to-be-witty phrases. I get what they are conveying and are sometimes funny but there is at least one on each page. Enough is enough. It really started grating on my nerves. Between that and clunky sentence structure, I don’t think I would read on in the series.
I did like their kids, Stella and Cooper, though. They were cute. It was nice that they bonded.
Overall, it was just ok.
The first book in Erin Nicholas new series Boys of the Big Easy.
I loved these two single parents, Gabe and Addison, they were so Hot!
They had real struggles that you could relate to, with the dating and introducing their kids to the boyfriend/girlfriend.
Erin makes you feel like you are right there with the characters. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
The steamy romance that started in Easy Going, continues in the first full-length book in the Boys of the Big Easy series. Gabe and Addison have kept their monthly fling light-hearted and steamy, but when Gabe discovers that Addison has moved to New Orleans, he’s ecstatic! The only problem is, they both have huge secrets that they haven’t revealed, and when they do, Gabe is ready for marriage and babies.
The chemistry between the characters is off the charts, but their journey to self discovery is amazing to watch and the story unfolds. I loved this book and can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
Well we met Addison Sloan and Gabe Trahan in Easy Going and I knew that they were a hot couple but in Going Down Easy we really get to know all about them. Gabe is a single father of 5 year old Cooper and living in the Big Easy. Addison is a single mother to Stella and living in New York. These two have been having a 6 month long fling whenever Addison is in town for her monthly consulting job. They have not shared any personal details of their lives just living in the moment. Addison accepts a position in New Orleans and assumes that Gabe won’t be interested in her because he’s a player and she’s a single mother which is fine by her. When Gabe finds out that she’s moved to town and has a daughter, he thinks that they’re perfect for each other. What happens when practical Addison gets pursued by impulsive Gabe? Well I’m not telling! This is a great contemporary romance written from dual POV that will make you laugh, tear up, yell at the pages and smile. And don’t worry that there won’t be any heat because it’s the Big Easy so there’s plenty of steam!
It was so fun watching Gabe and Addison get to know each other more! Cooper and Stella were delightful, of course! And all of the other secondary characters were fun as well.
This couple are obviously SO right for each other! They are just adoreable together, and they complement each other wonderfully as single parents. Not to mention that the chemistry between them is hot!
I did not enjoy how much Addison tried to fight their being together, but am just glad that she eventually came to her senses.
There were a few inconsistencies in the storyline that bothered me, but nothing too monumental.
I am definitely looking forward to reading the next installment in this series!
Hot, steamy and delicious, this is a delightful way to start this series ( There is a prequel). I liked Gabe and Addison so much. Their attraction was intense and their chemistry sizzled. Toss in a well written, fun story, witty banter and an appealing cast of secondary characters and you have a great read you do not want to miss!
i wanted to love this series, they fell into the like category.
I love Erin Nicholas books. This series has me buying both the physical books and the eBooks. I mean who would not want to own a book with THAT COVER? Oh and trust me, and what is inside is even better than the cover!
I really enjoyed this book of two lovers hiding their true selves from each other. Six months of hookups are about to come to an end because Addison is sure no one wants to date a single mother. Boy did Gabe have a surprise for her. I loved how these two worked it out especially how their kids really needed each other. Great story and characters looking forward to the next one.
Perfect start to a new series. Sexy single dads looking for love in New Orleans. I can’t wait to read more
A heartwarming story with relatable characters. If your looking for a love story, this is a great read.
I have to be honest, at first I had a really hard time really connecting with Addison. But I am happy to say that I as I continued on I ended up really enjoying this book.
Addison and Gabe have been basically having weekend hook ups once a month for the past 6 months, but for Gabe his feelings has been changing. It was getting more and more difficult for him to say goodbye to Addison, while for Addison, she was ready to end things. She had a change of circumstances and had a secret that she has been keeping from him. She tried break it off and told him the one thing that she thought would have him running out the door, but it was the opposite, Gabe was thrilled. He did not run off, he actually grabbed on tight. He wanted Addison and anything that came with her.
As I kept reading on, I fell in love with all the characters in this book. Gabe was amazing, I loved how relentless he was in his pursuit of Addison, and he was such a wonderful father. As for Addison, it took a bit longer. She had her reasons for her feelings about parenthood, but it was still difficult to read. I felt like it was the kids that changed things around for Addison and I loved how she reacted to Cooper.
This ended up being such a great book for me, the sexy times between Gabe and Addison was off the charts, the scenes when they all were like a family was beautiful and how the kids were there for each other was so sweet.
Overall, this was a great read

Two Hearts Coming Together
This book started hot and heavy. Ended with sweet love all around. Loved this heartwarming, lust filled, entertaining journey of Addison and Gabe.
Gabe had me at Beignets I’d dump all my reservations too if I had that morning offer lol. Love the small town community and having been a single parent for my son’s first 13 years really wish I had that support group. Can’t wait to read Logan’s story and the mess he puts himself in from kissing all the girls lol
This is such a fantastic story. I loved meeting Gabe and Addison is So Easy, a story in the Waking Up Married anthology, and then catching up with them in Easy Going, a Boys of the Big Easy prequel. Now, I got to read the rest of their story and it was stupendous. Their journey is fantastic and realistic, relatable. They are both single parents just trying to figure things out. Plus, Cooper and Stella are simply adorable. They are the perfect counterparts just like their parents. One is an outgoing extrovert and the other is a book smart introvert. Each teaching the other to open up a bit more, in different ways. I love this story and I can’t wait for the rest of the series.
This book has a bit of a different beginning as Gabe and Addison were already having a fling. Now it’s up to Gabe to convince Addison that they can be more than a fling. I just loved this book. Single parents, adorable kids, New Orleans and LOVE! What more could you ask for in a book? While Gabe and Addison are the main characters, their kids, family and friends are amazing secondary characters! Don’t miss out on this new series!
I love New Orleans. I also LOVE this new series by Erin Nicholas.
Gabe and Addison are both leading double lives. Both are parents, but neither of them knows the other has a child! Addison likes her once a month or so rendezvous with Gabe while she’s in NOLA for work. Gabe like his once a month or so rendezvous with Addison too, but he thinks there might be more in store for them. Addison relocates to The Big Easy, and the fireworks begin!
Is their incendiary attraction enough to keep them together? Do either one of them really want a lifetime commitment? Might ‘friends with benefits’ be more appropriate for them? What about the children? Dive in to find out!
This is the first full-length novel for Erin Nicholas’ “Boys of the Big Easy” series, and it’s sizzling!! It is a standalone, although there is a prequel that sheds a bit of light on who, what, where, and why. Not an absolute prerequisite to read it before this one, but I’m a back-story girl and like to have that. Enjoy!
