Loved it!
Latrice is bold and pushy, with no boundaries or filter, so who would have guessed she had a completely different life years ago. One she was still hiding from. Good thing she’s got Annabelle and the gang on her side! Latrice was such a great character in the previous Annabelle books, but the girlfriend of a mob boss? Wow, didn’t see that coming! They make murder sound like so much fun! Another 5 star winner for sure. I absolutely love the Annabelle Archer series and always look forward to reading the next one.

This was a laugh-out loud, cozy mystery with kooky characters and hilarious scenes. In this book the wedding planners and crew are part of the wedding so roles are reversed. The storyline is full of surprises, twists and turns. It is a feel good book that makes you want to read more about these terrific characters and their antics. Can’t wait until the next one.
A mobster from the past has shown up on the same day as Leatrice and Sidney Allen’s wedding. Talk about throwing a monkey wrench into the plans!
This story had me laughing so hard! I can’t wait to see what happens when Annabelle and Reese get married. If it’s even half as crazy as this wedding was it’ll be hilarious! At least there were no dead bodies this time, just a zapped one!

This is one of my favorite series! I love wedding planner Annabelle and the antics she gets involved in. Having a member of the wedding party that comes with a big mafia family is right up there with things to be dealt with carefully. I love the story and the series.

I loved this book. The story is very interesting and the Annabelle gang is not always ready for all of the challenges they face. One of their friends is getting married and they are all involved in getting through the wedding. Of course, no one was ready to have to deal with the mob while they were getting this wedding done. You have to read the book to find out what was going wrong and what went right. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to read.
This was an arc copy that I received. I wanted to voluntarily leave a review for this book so others can see what they might want to read.
I’m a huge fan of this series, the plots, the humor, and especially all the crazy characters. I wait anxiously for the next book to come out, filling my time with my other favorite authors, but when Annabelle comes around again, I drop everything to read. This one, including the mob, was really fun. I think the books get better with every new story. If you love weddings, crazy fun characters and humor, this series is for you.
Hermès is cute, but a stun gun might be a better bestie for anyone who works with Annabelle. The wedding for Leatrice and Sidney Allen has finally arrived- of course with some additional excitement.
Turns out Leatrice was the girlfriend of a man who became a mob boss when she was in her twenties. A man who helped her break away from that life pops up asking for help making his own break from the Family. Never a dull moment at a Wedding Belles event!
Looking forward to Annabelle herself finally walking down the aisle!
If you enjoy a bit of tongue in cheek murder and crime related mayhem, or wedding fun-zasters, this could be a great read for you!
I received an advance copy of this book from Booksprout. I read it on Kindle.
Godfather of the Bride is a hilarious, laugh-out-loud, sweet cozy read. The characters are zany and fun, and Annabelle and Reese are wonderful together. This particular story has an unexpected guest from the mob and a secret past included in her friend Leatrice’s wedding. I loved this book and cannot wait for the next book in the series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book that I received for no charge or obligation.
When Annabelle’s wacky octogenarian neighbor, Leatrice, decides to walk down the aisle, Annabelle is on the other side of this wedding – in the wedding party instead of directing the event. Secretly she has made a timeline and is trying to keep everything on course, but the arrival of an old acquaintance of Leatrice who needs help disappearing from the mob throws everything into a tizzy. The DC heat is about to get to everyone, and Reece, a homicide detective and Annabelle’s fiancé, finds himself closing his ears to the unlawful acts about to be committed. Will they be able to make this a murder-free wedding, or will they find their body count increasing?
This was a fun evening’s read. I always enjoy the wacky characters and the ridiculous messes they get into during their wedding events. I received this book from the author and the opinions stated are my own.
Read, laugh, read more, laugh more, read more, laugh harder and wipe tears from your eyes! Laura is a true master of storytelling. The reader can easily visualize the characters, the settings, and what is happening in the story. Her stories are chock full of those crazy, zany, outrageous characters we can’t get enough of and this story is no different! It is Leatrice’s wedding day and Annabelle, much to her chagrin, is not in charge! The story reveals a lot of Leatrice’s past…and it is crazier than she is! A wonderful read as always!
This was the first book that I have read from Laura Durham and it definitely will not be the last! The storyline was great and the characters were so interesting that I finished reading this book in one sitting!
Another fun romp with Annabelle and the gang. Annabelle is a bridesmaid at her elderly friend Latrices wedding. A member from the mob from Latrices past shows up and its a mad rush to get the bride down the aisle before the rest of the mob show up.

Book fourteen in the Annabelle Archer Wedding Planner Mystery series a story that kept me laughing as I read. A quick short story. The group of Wedding Planner people and the mobsters just made this story. I wonder if the next book is Reese and Annabelle’s turn to get married, and if so how much can go wrong with it? I will be watching for the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
As a wedding planner for many years, Annabel Archer has seen it all and takes so much in stride. But there is still a madcap nature to the weddings that we readers get to enjoy. Add to that the quirky characters and the story kept my interest until the end. I’ve really liked all the books in the series, and expect to in the future also.

Godfather of the Bride will have you laughing out loud as you read through the story. Laura Durham has done a great job with the characters in the series, the story line holds your attention from the first page, and has the reader falling in love with every aspect of the series. A fun and entertaining read that’s well written and hilarious. You don’t want to pass up this series.

Entertaining and great read with a hilarious cast of characters.
Annabelle’s elderly neighbor Leatrice is getting married and this time Annabelle is not the wedding planner. As a bridesmaid, Annabelle should just be sitting back, relaxing, and just keeping the bride-to-be calm on her wedding day. Instead, a surprise visitor from Leatrice’s past shows up unexpectedly and turns the wedding day plans upside down. Who knew Leatrice’s past included her being a mobster’s moll? Now it is up to Annabelle and her friends to try and make sure that the bride gets to walk down the aisle.
With tons of laugh-out-loud moments, hilarious and quirky characters, and lots of madcap adventure, this is an over-the-top but such a great cozy mystery read.

Omg I have never laughed so much reading a cozy mystery! The cast of characters are at their eccentric best in this story.
The setting is Leatrice and Sidney Allen’s wedding – what could go wrong? How about a former mob acquaintance showing up on the wedding day. Apparently Leatrice was a monster’s moll back in her early days in Chicago and her friend Jimmy the Pencil needs her help to hide from the mob so he can retire. Everyone is drawn in to help while trying to keep the wedding on pace. Must read!

I have to admit that it’s been more than a few years since I’ve read an Annabelle Archer mystery and all I can say is “Shame on Me!” I had forgotten how much I loved Annabelle and her somewhat OCD ways with wedding planning. I think her timetables are fantastic and I can totally relate to her jitters regarding the planning of her own wedding. This time around, Annabelle is a bridesmaid in her octogenarian friend, Leatrice’s, wedding. When a surprise arrival throws the day into utter chaos and reveals more than anyone could’ve guessed about Leatrice’s past, Annabelle and her detective fiancee must keep everyone safe and rescue the wedding from becoming a complete fiasco. I highly recommend this series and I know I will be going back to pick up where I left off in the series. I know you’ll fall in love with Annabelle and her friends.
