What happened after the happily ever after? You all know the story of Little Mermaid, but did you ever wonder what happened after the fairytale ending? Well we know. Not all afters end up happily, sometimes the real adventure starts much later…The Sea Witch and her men have descended on Atlantice like a tsunami no one expected. While all my life I’ve trained to fight the mer-folk, I never … the mer-folk, I never expected to use those skills on the Sea Witch’s humongous men.
As the fight comes to our doorsteps, will we all band together to fight for our lives? Or will the feud between the Anti-Mermaid League and the mer-folk destroy us all?
Following famous fairytale characters, eighteen years after their happily ever after, the Kingdom of Fairytales offers an edge of the seat thrill ride in an all new and sensational way to read.

Page-turner
Blaise is angry with herself. This whole situation is her fault, indirectly. The last Blaise book and what a story! My eyes flew over the sentences as fast as they could; I loved it so much!
An intense raid!!!
A great, page-turner, action-packed book, full of intense and hard events, that only served to unite more the merpeople with the humans, and even de AML
But Blaise’s journey is not over and now she’s joining Azia in her quest to find answers to their true origin… What will they discover???
This series is getting better, can’t wait to dig in the next Kingdom!!!
All good things must come to an end, and in the case of the Little Mermaid story arc, J.A. Armitage and Audrey Rich’s contribution to the collection of series that make up the Kingdom of Fairytales books, it’s a glorious end indeed.Goddess of Water: A Little Mermaid retelling (Kingdom of Fairytales Little Mermaid Book 4) is a thrill ride. There’s nothing like uniting opponents like a common enemy and the Sea Witch’s invasion of Atlantice is an existential threat that might just be enough to unite everyone, mer and human – including those Anti-Mermaid League idiots. I’m going to very much miss this story arc but at least it was given a wonderful send off – and I know there will be a new Kingdom of Fairytales story arc by J.A. Armitage (with a new co-author) to look forward to. As for this book? Easily five stars.
This quartet of novellas has been a high octane ride since the beginning and the final book in this arc did not disappoint! Lots of adventure, twists and surprises. Again, it was A LOT of story for a short book. It was nice to see the King and Queen involved as well! It was a pleasant changes from the ubiquitous absentee or just horrible parents in books. I have a tiny quibble with the fight scenes being rather unrealistic, especially the conceit that someone who just picked up a weapon has any chance of using it effectively, but that seems to be common in this type of fantasy.
Fish’s real name is revealed – we can only hope he will have more luck in love than his namesake. The immediate situations were resolved, but much like Azia’s story, there is still much left unanswered. Not a cliffhanger, but building toward the larger arc that spans the year worth of stories in this set of books.
All 4 Litttle Mermaid books really need to be read together and in order. Azia and Blaise are off to see what all the ruckus with the wolves is about, I’m wondering too.
Goddess of Water is the last book in the Little Mermaid retelling in the Kingdom of Fairytales series.Really love the retelleling of this fairy tale. And we even get to see Azia, a character we met in the last retelling of Sleeping beauty. Princess Azia and Princess Blaise have some stuffs in common and they but need to discover what might be causing the trouble in both of their kingdom and their mother curses.
I have received an arc of this book by J.A.Armitage
