Narra is back one last time for the final installment of Katherine Bogle’s fantastic Clockwork Thief series. This sixth book, Goddess of Death, gives the series the mighty send off it deserves. Totally satisfying for fans who have been following along, tying off all the wonderful complexities in a thrilling conclusion that left me totally satisfied. Newcomers you’ve missed something great here, but I strongly recommend that you start with book 1. Just be careful as this is addictive stuff so you’re going to have to strengthen your willpower to resist binge reading it. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The series and this final book both definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the series (and this book once reached) is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
““Remember that, Sister. Trust gets you killed.” “It can also save your life,” Narra said.”
Narra Rhelka is coming to the end, and I’m sure she knows it. Over the past 5 books we have seen her try:sometimes she succeeds; other times she fails. She’s not content with the status quo, that’s for sure.
Throughout this series, we have seen the young Narra choose to embrace herself and her maturity with that choice defiantly thinks for herself and not whomever else she’s expected to be: the daughter of two of the best Guildmasters ever recorded.
Her maturing takes her to palaces, on the water, and up on rooftops and even “flying” with grappling hooks all over the City. She now demands respect from everyone, fighting and clawing her way to acceptance and respect: even for herself!
She’s taken on the Guild, and won. She’s taken on her family, and won. She’s taken on cults/goddesses/gods both good and bad, and come out unscathed enough to tell the tale. Question is, can she lead a empire to war without wiping out the entirety of what she wants to save?
Narra has come to everything she can come to in Rove City, and she knows in order to fulfill her destiny, she must leave her known to pursue the unknown beyond her understanding. The Narra of book one couldn’t do it. However, the Narra of book six can and will do it and much more.
I cannot tell you how wonderful this series is without mega spoilers. Katherine Boyle has a proven track record of successful books and series aimed at a YA audience. I challenge you not to get sucked into the Clockwork Thief series, whether 11 or 111. You’ll love it. Highly Recomended 5/5

ONE EXPLOSIVE CLIMAX!!!
Wow! This is one fast paced, action packed, wild ride of emotions with all the drama that entails. Katherine has raised the bar and she’s taking no prisoners. I was lost in the first paragraph and didn’t surface until the last word in this page turning dynamo. The characters are complex, realistic and believable. Their personalities are vast and varied with qualities and traits that balance out perfectly. The scenes are so graphic and descriptive it paints a fantastic backdrop that really makes the storyline pop. The twists and turns abound with suspense and danger that kept me immersed and on edge with all the unpredictable endings as the tale unfolds. Katherine did an incredible job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Katherine, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.
