God Sees Her by Our Daily Bread is a heartwarming devotional. I like how each devotion has a story or experience with related scripture with it all tied together. They help a woman get through each day with food for thought. The devotionals are encouraging and positive. I also thought they were meaningful, relevant to life today, and thought provoking. It is nice that each one is short and easy to read, but the message will stay with you throughout the day. I like the variety of authors who provided the devotions in this book which gives us different perspectives. This compact devotional has a lovely cover with a ribbon bookmark. God Sees Her is a great way to start the day.
MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
I really enjoy reviewing Devotionals, there are so many of them and I love all that I have seen. Today I want to introduce you to a Devotional from one of my long time favorite company, Our Daily Bread. I had the honor a few years ago to read through their God Hear’s Her Devotional with a group of 10 very sweet and valuable and I truly loved it. Each day was exactly what I needed for each day. So when God See’s Her, I immediately signed up because I really wanted this one to share with some if my friends as well. One thing I like about these is that each one is very short. But even though they are short, each has a profound truth that will stay with you through the day.
This is an amazing choice if you are looking for devotions that are short, to the point, and will help you through your daily life.

I enjoyed reading each of their short bios in the back of the book. There is even an attached pink ribbon to keep your place from day to day. I have found messages that I needed to read for just about any subject any woman could want. The foreword by Liz Curtis Higgs is an added bonus. The size is perfect to carry in your purse or car for times you find yourself waiting for an appointment or meeting. I highly recommend this beautifully covered book and who doesnt want God to see them in their lives sometimes filled with need but hopefully filled with joy. Its very uplifting anytime for any mood.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through Celebrate Lit but was not required to write a review.
Everyone can benefit from reading words of encouragement. That’s what this devotional brings to you. Some great words of encouragement and scripture to remind us that God sees us right where we are.
This devotional book contains 366 entries. It follows the highly appreciated God Hears Her devotional that was well received everywhere and got rave reviews.
I received a copy of God Hears Her and really enjoyed reading it. This book is written along the same lines and I also enjoyed it. I could see this book being a good one to gift to someone around Christmas so that they would have a new devotional to read with the new year.
I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Celebrate Lit. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC regulations.
This lovely daily devotional is a year long book of inspiration written by women for women. From Our Daily Bread with the forward by Liz Curtis Higgs, I was positive this was going to be a daily dose of encouragement. It truly was.
Each devotional is timely and relates to a woman’s life. They are easy to read and understand. Each day contains a scripture and relating message. The daily offerings are meaningful yet short. It is easy to fit this daily devotional into one’s day.
The book itself is compact with a lovely floral cover. There is a ribbon bookmark to keep your place. Devotionals are dated, January 1 through December 31, which makes it an easy yearly study regardless of when it is started.
I enjoyed the lessons in this devotional. Some of them touched me more than others, but all of them were encouraging. It would make a great gift for any woman, young or old.
This sweet book gets my recommendation. It would make a lovely thoughtful gift that would be enjoyed all year long. I rated it 5 out of 5 stars. Celebrate Lit provided a copy but these are my honest words.
Timely and inspiring, “God Sees Her” is a collection of 365 short daily devotionals written by women for women and compiled by Our Daily Bread. Because a variety of women have contributed to this book, the writing style fluctuates, offering the benefit of different perspectives. As indicated by the title, the overarching theme of this devotional compilation comes from Hagar’s story in Genesis 16, in which she refers to God as El Roi, the God who sees me. Several of the devotional readings directly reference this name, and all of them emphasize the fact that God always sees us, even when we feel unacknowledged, and that because of this, we do not walk alone.
“God Sees Her” is set up in the typical devotional style, with a brief reading for each date throughout the year. Each has its own title, below which is the Bible passage to read and a Scripture verse that correlates with the reading. Half of the reading discusses a personal story or observation from the author, then segues into the Biblical application. Those familiar with the Our Daily Bread devotionals will recognize this format, and it also matches that of the companion devotional, “God Hears Her.” These are suitable for women on the go, especially since the books are small and compact, and they provide a spiritual boost for the day. As such, this is a good devotional to supplement daily Bible reading, because spending time in God’s Word is essential every day!
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Celebrate Lit and was not required to post a favorable review. All opinions are my own.
In the foreword of this book, Liz Curtis Higgs states that “He doesn’t simply look at us, He supports, encourages, and strengthens us” and this is the theme of this new book from Our Daily Bread. Twenty-six women share selected Bible scripture with their personal thoughts and the results are 366 short devotions that encourage, inspire, and remind readers that God sees and knows each of them. This is an attractive hardback book with a ribbon bookmark that would be a wonderful gift and I’m especially glad to have my own copy. I consider God Sees Her to be a great addition to my devotion time!
I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. There was no obligation for a positive review. I am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.
God Sees Her: 365 Devotions for Women by Women is a terrific supplement to a woman’s devotional and Bible study time. This perfectly compact book includes a beautifully inviting hardback cover and a ribbon page marker that are both durable and practical for everyday use. With 366 brief devotions on a wide variety of scripture verses and relevant topics, this devotional is conveniently designed for a full year of daily reading and study.
Each of the single-page devotionals included in this collection features a well-chosen Bible verse, wise thoughts, and encouraging words. With meaningful devotions written by more than 25 women of faith, this devotional is certainly an impactful tool for nurturing spiritual growth through scripture, truth, insight, and reflection.
Purposefully designed, thoughtfully written, and truly worthwhile, God Sees Her is a wonderful resource for devotional study or quiet times. It would absolutely make a lovely gift for a friend or relative. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to all women who desire to draw closer to God through daily reminders of his love, grace, faithfulness, and hope.
*I was given a copy of this book from the publisher and CelebrateLit. A review was not required. The review I have written is voluntary and contains opinions that are entirely my own.
I received this devotional in March therefore I haven’t finished it, but it contains nuggets of gold for each day that I look forward to reading everyday until next March. I keep it on my footstool where I can pick it up each day. It has such a pretty hardcover that invites you in and is compact enough to stick in your purse. This is not an in depth devotional but simple and to the point of encouraging women that God sees us and we are important to Him. Each day has a scripture reading and then has a scripture it is focused on for the day with a devotion by different women. This would make a great gift idea even for young teens to adult women. A great way to stay connected to God even when you don’t have much time.
I received a complimentary copy from CelebrateLit/publisher. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.
The devotional is beautifully crafted with a hard cover decorated in warm colors and vibrant art. I love how sturdy the book is and that it is compact in size. You can easily take it with you to work and do your devotional during lunch or perhaps at a park where you can find a place to be alone with God. It is set up starting in January and takes you through the whole year. Since I received a copy of this in the first part of March, I chose to start there. I can still use it for the year and finish the book next March.
Each day has different topics and scriptures to look up. The topic for today is “Created For Relationship.” I liked that it focuses on Godly relationships . We can find those relationships in our own family or in the Body of Christ. I liked that it made me think outside the box and develop relationship with others who are like minded. The church is a great place to get connected and be part of a family.
I would recommend this devotional to those who love to read encouraging words, study scriptures and allow God’s Word to flow in you. Each day is written by a woman that you may have heard of or someone new that you may want to get to know. This book in on my nightstand where I can easily pick it up everyday. If I do travel at sometime in the future, it will go in my purse so I don’t miss any day.
I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
Like God Hears Her, this is a 365 daily devotional. The readings are geared for women, but men also could benefit. Each day provides a short Bible passage followed by a selection based on the passage. Each day’s offering can be read in a few minutes, but its lesson will stay with you through the day. This book covers a year of devotionals, but could be restarted each year. This is a wonderful way to start your day of anytime you have a few minutes. I received this eBook from NetGalley for an honest review.
God sees her is a wonderful devotional book. I truly have enjoyed reading this devotional. Its wonderful written by many different authors.
Thank you NetGalley and Our Daily Bread Publishing.
