I really liked this book. The ending epilogue was different than what I’m used too, but I would recommend it.
Known as the God of the Seas, Godwin Trenowith knows nothing of his past. His ship, the Dragon Star, is one of the pirate ships of the Poseidon Legion. Melisant was born and raised in a convent. On her mother’s death bed she finds out she is the illegitimate daughter of King Henry. When the Dragon Star overtakes the ship sailing to her soon to be husband, Godwin takes her for himself. Secrets, betrayal, a true identity and a binding love will give them a future together. Well written adventure on the sea.

Godwin Trenoweth is the Captain of the pirate ship Dragonstar. He is feared all along the southern coast of England by shipping and coastal towns alike. Our hero has worked his way up in the league of Poseidon and is admired and trusted by all his men.
This is an exciting story full of danger, political treachery and great characters.
Marvellous fun, I loved it.
Two people that have lived their whole lives not truly knowing who they really were until they are thrown together completely by accident and that’s where things start to get interesting.

It is another great read from Alexa Ashton and you are sure to enjoy from start to finish.
Godwin Trenoweth knows little about his childhood. If fact, he was raised by a band of pirates and has through hard work and many battles has become the leader of the band of English Pirates know as Poseidon’s Legion. He is feared in the waters he sails; but has set a higher standard for his crew in battle. He will not kill babies or women; as the other pirate crews do and is quite aware of the battles he picks. Melisent Winchester has been raised in a convent her entire life and discovers that a dying nun is her mother. As her mother dies, she tells Melisent of identity and gives her a necklace to prove her name. Alexa Aston has given us a wonderful pirate adventure, with lots of action, adventure and exciting characters. Another great pirate adventures to captivate your imagination.
Milisent is the king’s bastard daughter, raised in a convent in England, but far from London, not knowing her mother was an older nun in that same convent. She recently discovers her true identity as a result of her mother’s passing and in order to survive her father’s enemies, she leaves the convent and sails to begin a her new life as the bride of a baron, a marriage arranged for her by the king.
Godwin is a pirate captain who began his seafaring career by being sold to a pirate as a young child by an unscrupulous relative who wanted his title. These two unlikely people are thrown together by fate and because pirates are wily thieves who are known to pillage and plunder the goods of those ships that they can. Godwin and his crew are in the midst of just such a day, when he comes across Milisent, and he has to decide if he will ransom her or keep the lovely woman for himself. What does he have to offer her?
The story has romance, intrigue, and is action packed. It’s definitely a good time and I recommend it!
Godwin has no memory of where he came from but he knows who he is! He is the God of the Seas, King of Poseidon’s legion. Melisent has been raised in a convent when in a split moment her life will change forever. Going from an orphan to the bastard daughter of the King who’s life is in danger. I have to say I loved Godwin, he is so steamy! This story was so enjoyable to read. I enjoyed Melisent finding herself and her interactions with Godwin and his crew. It was definitely a fun story to read. The ending was definitely a highlight, expected and not expected! You definitely have to read this one. Can’t say enough about it.
Those wonderful Pirates of Britannia make their way into an adventurous tale of betrayal and greed that changed the lives of two people. One, Godwin Trenoweth, born of the peerage but sold as a little boy, has grown to a man not to be trifled with and known as the God of the Seas! Commanding his band of pirates, they come upon a vessel and find little of value but one woman. Melisent, the bastard daughter of the King who was on her way to her betrothed, a man chosen by her father.
She had also been betrayed when her and her mother had been sent to a convent before she was born. Of course the King could not tell his wife about his indiscretion could he? Godwin’s plan was to ransom her to the King, but soon that did not seem an option!
A beautiful girl and a handsome pirate, what could possibly happen? Oh yes, they were very attracted and he changed his plans of ransom for her. But he has found some information about his childhood and his gutless, greedy uncle who wanted his earldom that he was in line to inherit!
Another great addition to this dazzling series that you do not want to miss! I cheer every time I see a new one and Alex Aston always pens a tale that you cannot put down once you start the first page!!!
