From USA Today Bestselling Author K Webster comes an enemies-to-lovers, angsty college romance in the intense, page-turning Elite Seven series! My life has been served to me on a gold platter to be devoured by my silver spoon. Money, money, and more money. It’s the backbone of the Goddard name. I’m the only son, so it’s all mine for the taking. But sometimes money isn’t enough. I always want …
But sometimes money isn’t enough. I always want more, yet nothing seems to satisfy me.
My father has made sure I become a part of The Elite Seven. Where most candidates are chosen, I was given my place. Everything comes at a price, though. Luckily, I can afford any price—no one has more money than God.
The Elite Seven have their initiations. My task is personal and beneath me—steal a car and send a warning. It’ll hurt my best friend in the process, but we both made a pact going into this. There’s no line we won’t cross.
My task makes an ugly turn and I nearly take a life. Such a small, unimportant person. Someone no one would even notice if she were gone. She’s a problem my money, and now power, can easily sweep under the rug.
It’s what my father wants. It’s what my brothers in The Elite Seven want. Yet when she finally opens those big, innocent brown eyes, I realize I’ve found what I’ve been searching for my entire life. I don’t want my little problem to disappear…I want to keep her.
Money is my legacy, but I want something money can’t buy.
I am Baxter Samuel Goddard, V.
I am Gluttony.

OUTSTANDING!! K Webster delivers an emotionally intense, gripping story that is not to be missed!
Gluttony is book 5 in the Elite Seven series, and oh holy WOW it was just so good! When I got to the end I was like, I need more, I want more, give me more – talk about being Gluttonous haha! The way she wrote these characters, their background story, their personalities it was just so beautiful. You really felt an emotional connection to the characters, I just wanted to jump into the pages and go on their journey with them.
Baxter Samuel Goddard V or “God” as he calls himself has led his life in the shadow of his father. His family has wealth beyond anyone’s wildest dreams and God has been taught to lord his wealth and status over everyone. He is untouchable! But that is not all his father has taught him.
God is such a complex and fascinating character to read. For all his wealth and standing he feels truly and utterly alone in the world. He does not trust easily, with the exception of his childhood friend Rhett aka Lust, as he has seen how people only us those with money when they are looking to get ahead.
Because of this he has trouble assimilating into the Elite. He does not want his chosen sin, so he is put out from the get go. He does not like Pride, at all! He feels he should be the so called “leader”, and as such gives Pride a hard time.
He wears his arrogance like a cloak, keeping all at a distance. However there is much more beneath the surface of this extremely troubled young man. My heart broke for him. He puts himself through the absolute ringer, what we find out is truly shocking. But his personality is Gluttony personified. It is just I want, I want, I want but he is never completely satisfied.
Hi task puts him on a different path. A shock to the system that leaves his floundering and faced with a future he never even considered.
You will be completely blown away by Gluttony there is no possible way you will not want MORE!!
You killed it K!!!
Gluttony is Book #5 in the Elite Series, and so far my favorite You must read the other books in the this series in order to get a full understanding of the characters and what is going on. Each book uncovers more secrets about each character in the series and gives us more insight into The Elite Society.
This is Baxter Samuel Goddard V’s aka God’s, aka Gluttony’s story. Gluttony is the sin of excess. You get a glimpse of God in the previous books. He is filthy rich and thinks his family’s money can buy anything, anyone, and get him out of any situation…but can money really buy anything? K. Webster has a way of weaving tales that suck you in and leave you feigning for more. The plot grabbed my attention. The twists and turns had my mouth hanging open. The romance was swoonworthy! What more can you ask for??? This is one you won’t want to miss!!!

Oh God… yes, this arrogant, wealthy beyond belief, extremist, and fearless member of the Elite’s name is GOD. It is fitting for Baxter Goddard. He is a young man who has everything, yet at the same time never feels fulfilled. He doesn’t just go after what he wants – he takes it in excess. His story has so many layers to it just like him.
I have been awaiting God’s book since Book 1 in this series. From the beginning he immediately comes across as “the leader”, the dominant one, the Alpha. He has everything – all the money, cars, resources, and power players in his pocket. But, ironically he is not chosen as the leader of this group of the Elite 7. And from that moment on – you start seeing cracks in his confidence and demeanor. He wears a mask of arrogance and strength, but in this book you find out exactly what his inner demons are, and they go deeper than you think.
My feelings for God transformed over his book. I loathed him – I envied him – I pitied him – my heart broke for him – and then I fell for him. When Zemira enters his life, it is the biggest eye-opener he could ever have. She is everything this man needs – she is disciplined, strong, humble, compassionate, and forgiving. She is drawn to God for reasons she doesn’t even understand other than they simply fit together like two perfect puzzle pieces. As their relationship evolves, you will love and cheer this couple on. I felt like a proud family member of God when he finally admits to his downfalls, and loved Z even harder when she pushed him to battle it rather than pushing it under the rug like everyone else close to him has his whole life.
K Webster’s writing is phenomenal…you will not just read this book, but you will feel it – the tragic scenes, the hurt, the loss, the way the brothers of the Elite bond together, God’s family turmoil, and the passion between God & Z. This book had the perfect balance of the brotherhood, the background story of God, and his transformation from a once cocky Elite player, to one of strength and confidence. I devoured this book, and am both sad and excited to see how this story of the Elite is going to end! Well done K Webster!!
Just when you thought this world of The Elite Seven couldn’t get crazier or better, it just did! In true K. Webster fashion she wrote an intense continuation of this series showing us exactly who Baxter Samuel Goddard the Fifth, otherwise known as God, is. He doesn’t want for anything, being son and heir to the world’s third richest man. He’s spoiled, bored and has a ‘God’ complex and isn’t happy about being given the sin and name of Gluttony on The Elite. He feels he deserved something better, something more, but control, greed, wealth, overindulgence has been his life…it’s been everything to the extreme.
As we all know by now, the tasks given always come with a price, and the price God paid is the highest yet. The result of his task was horrific and shocking! Through this nightmare, Zemira becomes a part of his life. He may think he’s saving her, but she’s saving him too. Their turbulent and sizzling hot relationship is a compelling addition to the growing bond between The Elite brothers.
Another epic ending…although it’s not a cliffhanger, it definitely left me eager for the next book. This series does not disappoint!
The Elite Seven – a secret society originated in 1942. The Elite is for life. Where sacrifices must be made to show your dedication to the organization. A brotherhood forged with initiations where your sin is a reflection or version of your abilities and personality. Seven brothers, Seven sins: Lust, Sloth, Gluttony, Pride, Envy, Greed, and Wrath.
GLUTTONY: I am Baxter Samuel Goddard V. Everyone just calls me God, and money is my legacy. God is overindulgent in all things in his life. His desire to consume more than is required includes parties, drugs, drink, cars, food; and why not it’s the Goddard way. His father is just as gluttonous and God swears to never be like his dad. Gluttony is tasked with a menial assignment, but as he is carrying it out he mows down a young girl leaving work. In an attempt to make it right he valiantly dedicates his time and himself to making it up to Zemira. She is a force to be reckoned with and takes none of his over the top excessiveness.
K. Web nailed Gluttony’s character and his sin. Zemira and God’s character qualities compliment each other so well that you couldn’t help but fall in love with the two. Webster has strengthened the storyline and it advances forward providing the reader with the anticipation for the next book in the series. I seriously cannot wait for the final two books, this is one series that I am enjoying immensely!
4.5* Overindulgence Stars!!
Oh my goodness!!! This book redeemed the whole series for me! Baxter Samuel Goddard (God), in the previous books, always flashes his wealth around but then disappears. Where is he disappearing to? The answer is not what I expected!! He has all the money in the world but that doesn’t equate to happiness. God is full of pain that my heart broke for him. In the end he goes through a horrible event, a life changing event, but comes out stronger. I can’t wait for this series to continue!! Bring on Sloth!
As a Goddard, the world is his playground to do as he pleases. There is no problem to big to be swept away.
Money paves the way for a future to happen and God is both wretched and thankful for his second chance.
She had her life mapped out until he crashed into it. Then everything changed.
Can a secret society give them both a new life or will the new picture be stolen before it was even hung.
Wow! I still feel a little shocked by what I just read.
A character I’ve come to know and love through the earlier sin books became a completely different person in this, as his layers were peeled away. I was both fascinated and appalled at Gods reactions due to his past.
He was more loveable and real without his mask of money, as his true heart that was hidden so deep began to shine through.
I just wanted to hold him close and tell him it was all going to be ok, and that he was indeed his own person.
Zemira is forgiveness, shes the girl who’s heart is too full of love hopes and dreams with little to no room for hate and malicious thoughts.
Though very different from each other they balanced each other out perfectly.
The secret society was woven into all and sundry as to be expected, and little gaps were filled in, with more answers drip fed as time went by.
I love the progression of the elite seven, and the way the sins band together to form something that’s akin to a true brotherhood.
Its completely unique and amazing. More than worthy of every second given reading this series.
I cant wait for the story to continue! I need more!
Oh my God! God is everything! I loved Gluttony! This book has, in my opinion, saved this series. I was beginning to get a little lost and now I’m back in the Elite Seven world and loving it!
K Webster’s twists and turns had me on the edge the entire way through! From the start of the series I’ve wanted to read Gluttony’s story and it did not disappoint.
God has far too much money and power but he just needed a woman to save him from his sins. I went from thinking God was a majorly spoilt brat to realising he had problems that went much deeper than we saw in previous books. Z is just the medicine he needs.
Five stars! I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens next now!
“Money is my legacy, but I want something money can’t buy.
I am Baxter Samuel Goddard V.
I am GLUTTONY.”
God…… You messed up beautiful boy. Did I love his story? Yes and No. He is so much more than I ever thought he was going to be. His character blew me away and I couldn’t help but to fall for him by the end of the book. This book was a huge step up from the last book in this series. I am so thankfully the series was able to redeem itself.
Now, I am ready for Sloth’s story!
The Elite is a secret society with power unimaginable. To be a member, is one of highest honor. Follow their rules and you will have endless: WEALTH, POWER, and FAME. Once you are selected, you must pass initiation. And meet the brotherhood. Your brothers in arms. A bond so lethal it is unbendable and unbreakable. The Seven Sins.
LUST, PRIDE, WRATH, ENVY, GREED, GLUTTONY, SLOTH
You should read the Elite series books in order, as they all go with each other.
In book #5, Gluttony, we have Baxter Samuel Goddard V, or God, or Gluttony. God is rich beyond anyone’s dreams. The dreams you have for what you would buy with lotto winnings? God already has multiple items of. God is the only son to Four and will inherit everything, businesses, cars, houses, wealth beyond measure. God never seems to be happy with what he already has. God is now part of the Elite, Gluttony. Will he help his fellow Elite members?
Zemeria is a 18 yr old girl. She has always lived with next to nothing. She grew up in an orphanage and was just grateful for a bed and a roof over her head. Zemeria is struggle to waitress enough hours to pay her rent and have food on the table. She is also taking a full class load her freshman year of college, trying / hoping to get ahead with her studies to graduate a year early.
God’s task was to steal a car. However, as he was stealing it he missed seeing Zameria in the crosswalk. He hits her and she goes flying in the air! He can’t believe he just did that! All he is thinking about is how he hit someone! Sirens are going in the background as he sees this amazing girl that he hit.
God’s father Four greases enough palms of city leaders to get God of Scott free, out of trouble and jail. If it would have been a normal person they would have probably wound up in jail.
Twists and turns help this become a page turner!
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving a review.
Woot!!! I feel like I’ve been waiting on God’s story for decades!!! This is NOT a standalone. It is book 5 in a 7 book series all from various authors. I would definitely recommend that you read them all in order from Lust to Pride to Wrath to Envy to Gluttony followed next by Sloth and ending with Greed. This entire series has been a fascinating read and touching on all the deadly sins.
I love the description that K. Webster adds into all her books. God is a character that completely fits his sin. In fact, it’s as if the sin came after and was built specifically for this man. I really felt like I was able to know God. He ended up having this sweeter and softer side to him that I was not expecting. That does not mean he isn’t dark and twisted, he is definitely dark and twisted, and I loved him even more for it. Gluttony seems to be starting to lace the entire storyline together. I see pieces coming together that were brought to light earlier. I see the makings of a larger story that’s been told over several books by several authors and it’s all starting to come together now.
K. Webster owned this book and it is easily my favorite from the entire series. I felt that Zemira was really well developed and I really liked her. It’s really difficult to really have two main plotlines going and be able to give them both the justice they deserve. Webster was able to continue developing the Elite series storyline and developing a romance that didn’t take over the series but still gave the romance a solid footing. I think that’s really been my main complaint this entire series, the romance and female character has been lacking in development but not in Gluttony. Webster always seems to bring the stories together! I am dying for the next book even more now after loving this one so hard!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
The Elite Seven
Gluttony… what an ironic sin for someone who is petrified of that exact sin regarding food.
Now, in everything else Baxter Goddard ‘God ‘ is definitely to the extreme.
His sin seems so small. Steal a car! Wreck it! The catch, it’s someone that matters to him… still coked up and high he’s he-man and gets it done.
Doesn’t factor in pedestrians… or the fact that with huge speed and metal his life changes forever.
He cannot let her go… he won’t. He doesn’t care who stands in his way.
I’ve read all books this far… so excited for this series. This was my fav so far. It doesn’t do the repeating issue done mention in other reviews. It’s a fresh take with pieces dropped in so timeline is accurate. I have really liked them all, a lot. This one is the king, or should I say ‘God’ of this series!
I highly recommend them all!!! And to be read in order. I’m OCD like that!
K Webster
God has been one of the characters I wondered about the most. Learning about how he got assigned his sin explains a lot. With everything else being revealed, I begin to like things even more. This book was definitely more dark than the others.
WOW! He is NOT a happy camper 10% of the way into his book. God, that is. I can understand why he is annoyed with Pride. I think I like Sloth, just a little bit. We flash back during God’s task to Rhett’s brother Robbie and the whole thing that started all this. Where God is portrayed to be the Devil, is he truly, or is he an angel in disguise? I LOVE Zemira!!!! She is so opposite to God. What is the saying about a good woman? How does Zemira take on God and challenge him to keep him from being like Four? Zemira’s outlook on God makes my heart hurt for him because I think she is spot on!!! I really enjoyed the juxtaposition between God and Zemira, between who God thinks he is and who he wants to be. Holy smokes! Talk about Karma in this book….daaaaaannnnnnngggg… What an incredible read!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin’ With M. Brennan.
My God! If there was one book since the beginning I was dying for it was God’s! His story has seriously shed some light on the sick world they are wrapped up in and it has me on edge waiting to see what comes with Sloth and Greed! I can say with certainty that I have no clue what to expect other than a wild ride because each book has brought answers as well as more questions! This world is sick and twisted but so freaking amazing! K Webster did an amazing job with Gluttony and I couldn’t have picked a better person to put him back together than the woman he broke!
My favourite in the series thus far!!!! Gluttony was full of suspense, excitement and drama and I loved it all. God had everything anyone could ever want and nothing he ever needed or so you would think. On the outside looking in you would see a selfish, spoiled man who took what he wanted at all costs. What you don’t see is the insecurity and the loneliness, a need for something or someone he has not yet found. When an accident turns into a cover up God finally finds what he is looking for. This story really did it for me. A page turner and a five star story!!!!
Gluttony is ravenous!!! K Webster has come through giving us the story that “God” deserves. He is conflicted, tormented, dangerous, impulsive and simply delicious. God is given his task. What happens when the fulfillment of his assignment ends up with some serious repercussions? Zemira is an orphan that has a unique connection with God. As their story unfolds, we will learn about their fears, hopes and desires. Can God and Zemira beat the odds and get a their happily ever after? Will Lillian’s meddling with the Elite Seven affect them? This book was profound, thrilling, intense, emotional and steamy. Gluttony, is another amazing installment in this series. I can’t wait for Sloth.
From the very beginning of this series God grabbed my attention and held me intrigued. I was so curious to find out what was behind the mask he wore for everyone and Gluttony showed there was so much more to God than meets the eye.
This story was nothing like I was expecting yet I fell so in love with both God and Zemira. God had such a huge heart and I loved watching how his character evolved throughout this book. Zemira’s sass, strength and caring heart were exactly what he needed.
God’s story really tugged at my emotions as my heart ached for these two and the rocky journey they took me on. Gluttony was a riveting, emotional and stunningly beautiful addition to this series and I can’t wait to see what’s next for the remaining Elite members.
I loved this book! First off, the cover model is one beautiful man, and made reading this book such a treat. God was so much fun to read about. I knew his story would be over-the-top with the sin Gluttony as well as everything else we’ve read about him so far. The curveball that was thrown in, with how God and Zemira meet, was written perfectly. I was wondering how they’d get this character of God to actually care for someone else. Instalove wouldn’t have made sense, and many other scenarios just wouldn’t cut it either. The romance between these two simmers slowly at first, but once it gets going it’s equal parts sexy and sweet. K Webster writes some amazingly hot sex scenes, yet she also builds the backstory up so well that the “sweet” factor took me by surprise. This is a true to form enemies-to-lovers romance… With a big dose of a redemption story then in… And I couldn’t put it down! It was so damn sexy to read, so full of suspense and drama, and carries on the story of the Elite Seven perfectly. I’m left wanting more from this imaginary book world, and I cannot wait for the next book!
Though thogh book didn’t hold much supense like some of the others it was still pretty good!
It’s God’s turn and with his task comes with much more than just a task his world is turned upside down and inside out. But with it comes a silver lining he meets Zemira.
You’ll also find out the fate of one of the most hated people in this series well at least for me! I swrrs so excited to tess what happened!
I can’t wait to find out what happens in Sloth’s book and also find out what happened at the end of this book! Bring on Sloth’s book I’m ready!
