From USA Today Bestselling Author K Webster comes an enemies-to-lovers, angsty college romance in the intense, page-turning Elite Seven series! My life has been served to me on a gold platter to be devoured by my silver spoon. Money, money, and more money. It’s the backbone of the Goddard name. I’m the only son, so it’s all mine for the taking. But sometimes money isn’t enough. I always want …
But sometimes money isn’t enough. I always want more, yet nothing seems to satisfy me.
My father has made sure I become a part of The Elite Seven. Where most candidates are chosen, I was given my place. Everything comes at a price, though. Luckily, I can afford any price—no one has more money than God.
The Elite Seven have their initiations. My task is personal and beneath me—steal a car and send a warning. It’ll hurt my best friend in the process, but we both made a pact going into this. There’s no line we won’t cross.
My task makes an ugly turn and I nearly take a life. Such a small, unimportant person. Someone no one would even notice if she were gone. She’s a problem my money, and now power, can easily sweep under the rug.
It’s what my father wants. It’s what my brothers in The Elite Seven want. Yet when she finally opens those big, innocent brown eyes, I realize I’ve found what I’ve been searching for my entire life. I don’t want my little problem to disappear…I want to keep her.
Money is my legacy, but I want something money can’t buy.
I am Baxter Samuel Goddard, V.
I am Gluttony.

How is it possible that this series continuously gets better! This story, about Goddard aka God, is by far my favorite. When God is given his task, he thinks no problem, until the results of his actions changed so many people’s lives. He and Zemira, a young beautiful woman, meet in tragic circumstances, and he is immediately smitten with her. He will do anything to make sure she is taken care of. But will she allow it? Can she forgive him? These two characters completely ingrained themselves into my heart. Not to mention all the twists and turns in this story that leave you wanting more. This series is phenomenal and I can’t wait for the next book!
I have been waiting for this book for a long time!
God has intrigued me since book one-his name, who he was, where he came from. I wanted to know everything about him. When I found out K. Webster was writing this book, I knew I was in for a ride. Only she could do justice to this story. K. Webster has always been a one-click author for me, and I knew I would love whatever story she wrote.
God’s ‘sin’ was the most believable out of all of them. His sin made the most sense-why he was gluttony, why he was the way he was. I loved the back story he had. Baxter Samuel Goddard the V comes from a life of excess. He has everything that life could offer, much like most of the male characters in this story, but God is on another level. He had the most reason to be a gluttonous bastard, and this is one aspect of his own life he runs from. Goddard is an unhappy person. He is ‘poor little rich boy’ personified. I felt bad for God in the beginning, but then hated him when he did something unforgivable. His careless ways put an innocent life in peril, which is when God was at his lowest. He was beaten down, and then built back up, that too by an unlikely being. One who wouldn’t have ever been on his radar to begin with.
I love Kristy’s writing. This book was no different. She’s an old pro at this. I can’t wait for Sloths story. Cannot wait to see where this series takes us next.
Gotta love God
I really liked this book. And I really needed it after Envy (the previous book in this series). I fell for Rhett and God when their best friendship is introduced in Lust and was intrigued to see what was underneath Gods Gluttonous exterior. I was not expecting what I found but with the exception of Envy all of these boys have been surprising in the most romantic kind of sweet way possible. I am completely buying into God overcoming his sin of Gluttony and finding redemption. I don’t even mind the obvious parallel that his girls middle name is Temperance. There are themes and ideas that if you want to dig into you can but its also written in a way that doesn’t require deep thought. It is all surface or obvious but not shallow is the best way I can describe it. I will definitely continue reading this series as I am invested and want to see how everything plays out!
Finally a book in this series that can meet the target!
Intense and unpredictable, Gluttony gives us God’s story. Never in a million years I would have thought about this kind of plot for this book. Never! And I loved it!
There were some more acknowledgement about The Elite and I think it is a must, after all that’s what this series is about. But there was also the whole romance, the suspense and some very real problems that our characters had to face.
I loved to see God’s transformation. I always believed one person have the power to change another. I truly believe that and in this case it was beautiful!
Sloth is picking my curiosity more now… there’s something about that almost invisible character that has me in pins and needles!
Gluttony-Over indulgence and over consumption of food, drink or wealth of items, particularly as a status symbol.
K. Webster dishes up Baxter Samuel Goddard V, aka God, to us on a platter. As in the previous books God is absent in many of the sins process and now we finally get to find out just where he would disappear to and what he was getting up too.
I really fell in love with God. Even though his ego is bigger that heaven, his life that he was living was something entirely different. The look on the outside doesn’t always match the insides. He is a man with many deep seated issues and fights daily with the demands pushing him forward. His sin is very fitting for him on so many levels.
I really enjoys story and I loved seeing just how he evolved.
A few questions/secrets have been revealed and at times I saying “well it’s about time that happened” but as usual more questions have been created. So as usual I’m chomping at the bit for the next book.
I was dancing on death’s doorstep, but I had an angel. A dark, screwed up angel watching over me. An angel named God.
Gluttony by K. Webster is still swimming in my head and I truly don’t think my review will do the story justice. First, I am not new to Kristi’s writing and have in fact enjoyed many titles in her backstock. I find her ability to write across several subgenres within the romance world fun and it provides a diversity that not all authors are capable of. Gluttony was an absolutely outstanding addition to the Elite Seven Series and should not be missed! While it’s actually a complete romance in its own right and each book in the series pertains to individual H/h, it’s part of a series with a continuous plot that should be read in the following order:
The Elite Seven Series:
Lust (The Elite Seven, #1) by Ker Dukey
Pride (The Elite Seven, #2) by J.D. Hollyfield
Wrath (The Elite Seven, #3) by Claire C. Riley
Envy (The Elite Seven, #4) by M.N. Forgy
Gluttony (The Elite Seven, #5) by K Webster
Sloth (The Elite Seven, #6) by Giana Darling
Greed (The Elite Seven, #7) by Ker Dukey and K Webster
I have been absolutely loving the Elite Seven series, and they are without a doubt some of my most anticipated reads every few weeks. Gluttony was everything I expected from K. Webster. It’s dark and twisted with a sexy, fast-paced storyline that kept me turning page after page to read straight through. I loved the complexity of God’s character. Money doesn’t ensure you will be happy and that was never truer than in Gluttony. The plot twists that were inherent in the series have surprised me again and again, and I absolutely love the unpredictability. Of course, I am a huge dark romance junkie and Gluttony provided all the dark and twisted romance I was craving! Also, at this very moment, I am beside myself waiting for Sloth by Giana Darling… Don’t wait to start this series, get to reading right. This. Minute……!!!!!!
QUOTES:
Whatever task Pride gives me, aside from murder or some shit, I should be able to handle. Besides, when you’re Gluttony, what can they really make you do? Eat ten burgers? Get shitfaced on wine? I really don’t understand how they’ll incorporate the sin into my task.
**
He’s God all right. Baxter Samuel Goddard V, heir to an oil fortune and third richest family in the entire world.
**
“Money is the root of all evil.” My words are meant to hurt him. He simply shrugs.
“It’s the only thing I have. I suppose that makes God the devil.”
**
“Z, I can’t get enough of you. I want it all,” he murmurs hotly against my skin. “I want to feast on you forever. Only you. I’ve never wanted someone or something so badly in my life. You’ve consumed my every thought.”
**
I’m dizzied by his kiss— consumed by the way he devours me as though I’m his. But I’m not his.
**
Zemira is in my blood, in my veins, in my soul. Burning through me like lava— hot and explosive. Changing me. Evolving me. Hiding the ugly parts and molding me into something new.
**
I’m fucking addicted to her. I still have her sweet honey on my tongue and I’m hungry for more. Never enough. Never satisfied. I’ll consume her until there’s nothing left. It’s what I do.
**
Something sad and broken inside of him calls to me.
Samuel Goddard is young when he first realizes his money may give him material things, but it doesn’t necessarily give him happiness. Oh sure, he’s got material things coming out his ass, but self confidence, stability, and happiness? Nowhere to be found. But he can fake it and hide his deeply insecure nature because he’s God after all. Then he’s handed his task to obtain entry into The Elite Seven. And more significantly, he meets HER. The goddess that he falls head over ass for. Can she heal him? Can God have his goddess?
My God, *wink wink* Gluttony is the story I’ve been waiting for in this series! It’s got a seriously flawed, but definitely redeemable, hero, a fantastic, substantial heroine, and for once, the romance isn’t lacking. I’m still not reading The Elite Seven series for the romance, but it was really nice to finally get a story with some semblance of romance in it. And to get a story with characters who aren’t total douchewads, who are capable of some tenderness and love. Yes, there’s still violence and depravity, this is a series about the seven deadly sins after all, but it’s got some softer emotions and softer sides to balance out the violence and all the sinning going on. And God is by far my favorite character so far in this series. He’s so layered, so much more like an average person with all his insecurities and his flaws, but one willing to work on becoming a better man. Of course there’s a cliffhanger, and we’re left with even more questions about how the society is working behind the scenes, and what Rush’s (Sloth) story is going to be like, but the story of the secret society is moved much further this time. All in all, I’d say that if you’ve given up on this series, do come back to it and pick up Gluttony. You’ll definitely find yourself falling back in love with The Elite Seven series if you dive into God’s story.
K. Webster came out swinging with this story! Right from the start…BAM!!! And from there the story just gets better and better!!! God is one complex character and add Zemira and her story…WOW. It was crazy and complex and I LOVED IT! Everything tied in great and we get back more Elite business with a few twists I am not sure I quite believe yet…haha. I am looking forward to the next story in this twisted saga!
So many emotions with this read!! K Webster always twists my insides with either desire or uncertainty and I felt it all with Gluttony! I have not read a book yet from her that haS disappointed me, nowhere near disappointed me! Maybe scared the crap out of me how twisted I loved every freaking word…
God wasn’t someone I was excited to read about, he wasn’t even someone I thought would get my heart fluttery. Everything changed with this book and God that made my soul change and panties melt. I grew sick to my stomach at times, gasped in disbelief in the words I was reading and even crazy in lust. The things he did but then became the man he is did awoken something inside me that aches for more and more. I loved it.
I feel somewhat obsessed with K Webster and can’t believe I have never met this wickedly talented woman. This book seriously changed everything this series has been. Most were good but none of them were this… intense. I need more! I can’t wait for more and I need to meet this lady just to be in her presence! Congrats!!! You kicked butt in this book!!!
This is the 5th book in the Elite 7
Meet Baxter Samual Goddard aka GOD to his friends.
He comes from money he likes to party hard and play hard that is until he joins the Elite.
His a Goddard what can be so hard, he has attitude but that changes when he gets his first task he must go against his best friend but to him the task is easy until it all goes horribly wrong he involves an innocent person and takes something precious from her meet Zemira Coleman she see’s something in God no one has ever seen a broken lost soul, she has nothing he has it all but will the elite let that happen, can two broken souls make it and at what cost.
This series is so darn good!! This book just added more mystery, but did answer some of my burning questions! I will say I flipping love this author and as always she brings it!! This is God’s story, he does everything big getting everything he wants. Although happiness can’t be bought. So well written and such a great story. There is so much more to this series and I can’t wait to find out what’s coming. Brilliant as always, I am never disappointed by this author!! This story is so twisted and I never know what’s coming around the corner. I think I have it figured out then Bam! I don’t!!! Love it !!
OMG God is the man! I couldn’t wait for God’s story and what a story it is!!! We all knew God was a selfish, money loaded prick. Anything and everything he wanted he could have. Nothing seemed to faze him, and God had everything he wanted. So when God, was finally given his card, I really didn’t think there was anything he wouldn’t do. And I was right; he didn’t disappoint. But the consequences of his card doesn’t just affect him but a beautiful and sweet innocence that has nothing to do with the Elite.
Z has nothing to do with the Elite or the brotherhood. Z is a wonderfully sweet girl that is in the wrong place at the wrong time. When she finally finds herself becoming friends with God, we find not only is God this person with a soul but a damaged soul.
I LOVED this story. I could not put it down.
Beyond amazing!! I had no idea what to expect when I began reading but I knew coming from this autjor that it was going to be epic…..and I was absolutely right!! She blew my mind with this one.
Like all of the Elite Seven books, and this book did not disappoint. It revealed a side of God that I hadn’t expected. I absolutely loved the was his given sin was turned from a burden/something bad for him into something that made him a better man. The relationship he shared with Zemira was beautiful even if it had a tragic beginning. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
5 Cranky Stars
Everyone worshiped God. Women lined up to get on their knees for God. God lived a life of excess with wealth beyond what anyone could imagine. God tossed his toys aside when he got bored. God was obsessive and didn’t know when to stop. I’m not talking about the almighty God above I’m talking about Baxter Samuel Goddard the fifth AKA God.
Money is no object for God. He is untouchable and he’s lived his life that way. Parties every night and booze and drugs flowing like water. He didn’t want to be anyone else. When he is chosen to join The Elite, he is given the sin of Gluttony. He isn’t too thrilled about the idea because the one thing he tries is to not be like his father. A 400-pound man who is vile and disgusting. When he is given his task, he sets off to do it and get it over with little does he know his life is going to change. When he locks eyes on Zemira he’s not sure if it will be for the last time. Zemira is a girl trying to just get by. Between her schooling and jobs, she’s barely staying afloat. When her life collides with Gods her path is altered and she’s not sure what she’s doing anymore and what is the right decision.
This book had some cringe worthy moments. Four (Gods Father) being one of them. Dude just grossed me out with the way he ate. Also, there is one brutal scene that had me freaked. Just read it and you’ll see why. It’s that K Webster style we all love. We learn a lot about God that what we see on the surface isn’t who he really is deep down. He has real issues. Some people might not like Zemira considering what happened and her decision to stay with God. I liked her she was very real. They saw something in each other that couldn’t be helped. Lillian well you know how I feel about you! I’m so ready for Sloth. He is an enigma!!
“Never enough. Never satisfied. I’ll consume her until there’s nothing left. It’s what I do.”
I sunk my teeth right in to God and Z’s story and it revived my love for this series that began to wane a little from my excitement with the first book. This one ticked all my boxes…it had a ton of jaw droppers, super swoony moments, and there was so much meat to this story, the backstories were interwoven perfectly for maximum impact. There were so many parts I wanted to personally high five the Author for dreaming it up!! This was not a short, sweet and feeling still hungry like some of the others…this had it all and was a lot longer. I shrieked, I cheered, I silently thanked the Author for writing me back to life because I want to know what happens next, and I’m so glad that I was able to review this one!!
“I can’t help but admire that he really is a god. Something chiseled from a stone this earth doesn’t know. Otherworldly.”

Gluttony (The Elite Seven #5) by K Webster is the story of Baxter Samuel Goddard V. I have beed waiting on his story since I first met him in the first book Lust. He goes by God and his sin is Gluttony which fits him even if he doesn’t like the name. Since his father is one of the richest men in the world and a high ranking member of The Elite, God has the world at his fingertips. While completing his task for The Elite something happens that changes his life. She comes into his life and knocks him off his throne. This story was more than I could have expected. I feel so in love with God. He is so much more than I could have expected. Zemira is a feisty young lady who comes from nothing. She is doing her best to keep her head above water while going to college. Her life is turned upside down when one night she comes across God. This story has made me even more excited about the upcoming books. I loved her and she was strong willed and determined no matter what she had to face. The ending of this story really has me wondering where the next author will take the story of the guys plus I really want to know Sloth’s story. 5 stars for me.
The Elite Seven has just found God and his name is Baxter Samuel Goddard V but you can call him “God” or his Elite name Gluttony.
With each sin comes a task but when you have more than you ever could imagine what could be so hard about completing the task that is given to you. What God never imagines that his task will change the course of not only his life but the life of his brothers and Zemira Coleman who just happens to be in his path. Zemira will be the one person who will show God that having it all doesn’t make your life better but showing someone the love that they deserve is more than you can need and want. The brotherhood will be put through so many tests but It’s time for the new Elite to take the place of the old and let the up and coming brothers reclaim what is truly their right.
God will show all his other Elite brothers that you can do what’s right and stand up for what you want and believe in by standing together and doing what is right for each other.
If there was a way to rate a book on more than five stars then this would be that book because five is surely not enough.
If i could give this more than 5 stars i would. Thats how i feel after finishing this book. It was good. I felt like its most definitely my favorite of the series so far and i loved a good bit of the other ones but this one topped them all. God was so great. It answered so many questions. That i had been left with. I cheered because there were several moments i loveddddd what was happening. I love that God became a better person and love of a good woman did that for him. i cant wait for everyone to read this book! I hope they enjoy it as much as i did
I’ve waited for god from book 1 I knew he was going to be something special but oh boy I could never have thought he would have touched my heart in the ways that he did .
A brilliantly written story taking the elite 7 to the next level I laughed so hard in places
“Talk fast, it’s about to rain and you look like you’d melt”
I gasped A lot!
I did a big big happy dance at one point
But my heart also ached .
Perfect mix of emotions to a perfect continuation to the series.
