From USA Today Bestselling Author K Webster comes an enemies-to-lovers, angsty college romance in the intense, page-turning Elite Seven series! My life has been served to me on a gold platter to be devoured by my silver spoon. Money, money, and more money. It’s the backbone of the Goddard name. I’m the only son, so it’s all mine for the taking. But sometimes money isn’t enough. I always want …
But sometimes money isn’t enough. I always want more, yet nothing seems to satisfy me.
My father has made sure I become a part of The Elite Seven. Where most candidates are chosen, I was given my place. Everything comes at a price, though. Luckily, I can afford any price—no one has more money than God.
The Elite Seven have their initiations. My task is personal and beneath me—steal a car and send a warning. It’ll hurt my best friend in the process, but we both made a pact going into this. There’s no line we won’t cross.
My task makes an ugly turn and I nearly take a life. Such a small, unimportant person. Someone no one would even notice if she were gone. She’s a problem my money, and now power, can easily sweep under the rug.
It’s what my father wants. It’s what my brothers in The Elite Seven want. Yet when she finally opens those big, innocent brown eyes, I realize I’ve found what I’ve been searching for my entire life. I don’t want my little problem to disappear…I want to keep her.
Money is my legacy, but I want something money can’t buy.
I am Baxter Samuel Goddard, V.
I am Gluttony.

Baxter Samuel Goddard V, known as God, was raised with a sense of entitlement and luxury due to his family’s status as one of the wealthiest in the world. Being the sole heir, God knew the path he was going to take and was prepared for the inevitable until becoming a member of the Elite and crashing into Zemira Coleman’s life.
“Money is the root of all evil.” My words are meant to hurt him. He simply shrugs. “It’s the only thing I have. I suppose that makes God the devil.”
Told in dual POV, the plot takes an interesting turn from the outset which shows God’s true self and inner conflict. As the dynamic between God and Zemira offers a unique perspective to these characters, it also leads to a solid connection despite their circumstances.
“The way he tapped into my soul and had a little taste. Maybe a bad man needs a taste of a little good.”
From the beginning of this series, I was intrigued by God’s personality, but I did not expect such thoughtful depth and it richened his character. As for Zemira, she is strong despite the adversity she had to overcome and I truly enjoyed her addition to the series. Of course, the ongoing plot continues to evolve with some surprises but all is ultimately pointing to the end game.
Gluttony is about the multiple faces of privilege and the disadvantaged.
I’m the son, the heir, the golden fucking egg.
Money is my legacy, but I want something money can’t buy.
I am Baxter Samuel Goddard V.
I am GLUTTONY
I’ve been looking forward to God’s story and was not disappointed at all. We meet God as someone who lives up to sin because he lives a gluttonous life, full of excess and extravagance, while in fact he is miserable and lonely.
Joining the Elite only because it’s what Rhett wanted, God sets out to do his task but it goes horribly wrong.
Meeting Zemira and being there for here makes God realise that he has been living a empty and shallow life, and even meeting her in the most horrible way the vows to help her heal and become whole again. Destiny had a screwed-up way of bringing two people together.
While Four is a disgusting Pig, I did love his no-nonsense attitude It’s the Goddard way. Money talks. The Goddard name screams. And every single person in this town listens.
Besides food, Four lives for his son, “You played your wicked games. But the moment you fucked with my son, you signed your death warrant.” smoothing over all his problems and making sure God gets what he wants “Give the boy what he wants”
But the biggest shock? “Bring me the viper, son.”. While I was extremely satisfied with that I do wonder what this will do with the rest of the series. I’m guessing there will be repercussions from a very likeable source “My money is the king of New Orleans. Every single facet of your life has been dipped in Goddard gold. If we’re being honest here, you’re the extension of me. Not the other way around.”
I was very much emerged in God’s story and was pleased to see a lot more of the other brothers. This too ends with a bang and I’m very much looking forward to the sixth book [book:Sloth|43611679].
And again, I think we will be very much surprised with the ending of the series, that looks like to be having a major twist.
No. One. Fucks. With. My. Brothers.
I love everything K Webster writes, but Gluttony was one of her best! It was really interesting to read about a man with an eating disorder and to see the way it shaped his personality. God is a complicated alpha with so many deep seated issues, one of which led him to crashing his car into the heroine. It was incredible to read about how their tragic meeting led to one of the most beautiful love stories <3
Twisted. Dark. Suspenseful. All the things I have come to love about books by K. Webster! This is my favorite book of the series so far. God gives all the swoons! I think the series has taken a turn for the best with this installment and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
These books are amazing, it is almost like they are written by one author not seven. I have to admit that I really wasn’t a fan of God I actually thought he was a self centered, spoiled rotten, brat who had whatever he wanted served to him. In this book I started to understand God and why he is this way. His family life is horrible and his father is a disgusting slob. I love the way the brotherhood has brought him out. When he has his accident and meets Z his life changes, he cares about other people and he becomes a bit more human. He and Z are perfect together and bring out the best in each other. Can`t wait to start the next one.
OH BOY! Webster you are EPIC.
Another amazing addition in the elite 7.
Gluttony aka God hes dark, arrogant, complex, flawed and sexy has hell.
He doesn’t hold back and doesn’t care until he does his task
and BANG its takes a different turn and those turn of events show us more
depth to him, bearing his soul and fall harder for him.
Some mystery’s from previous books come to light, making this series
come together beautifully to this point. I am so intrigued to know how its
all gonna finish.
Dark, Twister, Sexy and on times Funny.
2 More books to go, So excited.
Baxter Samuel Goddard the fifth. What a pretentious sounding name, right? BSGt5 may be his given name, but God, is what he goes by. He truly has anything a person could want and if he doesn’t, he just flashes the cash and throws his daddy’s name around (aka…Four). Not only does Four have the businesses and cash to his name, but he’s got the respect when people talk to him and what he says, goes.
God was given an invitation to join the Elite, but with his attitude, he could’ve cared less with being in it. However, his best friend, needed to be a part of such group and for him, he stayed. I have been super intrigued about God since book one. I always wondered how they were going to top his character when he didn’t have a need for anything. Well, Kristi, did a fabulous job on God’s story arc that had me laughing and crying. I am so thrilled that we got to see another side of God, but in doing so, I was also crushed at what he was secretly going through.
Z (Zemira) is a great counterpoint heroine for God. Her quiet, inner strength proves that she can handle herself against God. Despite meeting under inauspicious circumstances, these two are made for each other. She mellows out his over the top antics and he brings her out of her shell. The wonderful thing is what they find in each other; love, protection and happiness.
I loved this book. We find two opposing main leads, a wild, over the top party boy who is incredibly deep due to his issues and a long-standing love that will never fade out. K Webster did one heck of a job while writing Gluttony. My hats off to you!!
Gluttony is the 5th installment in The Elite Seven series and I was a little worried after the way things ended in the previous book. To say I wasn’t too happy with Envy is an understatement. However, I knew that if anyone could make me love this series again it would be K. Webster and she did not disappoint!!
God is a spoiled, ridiculously rich boy who is used to getting anything he wants and when he screws up it’s just swept under the rug. That all changes the night that he nearly takes the life of Zemira. This girl, who has had to fight for everything in her life, brings the powerful God to his knees.
If you’ve been following this series I have no doubt that you were dying for this book just as much as me. And if you haven’t started this series I highly recommend it! Make sure you start with Lust because most of the plot won’t make sense. But I guarantee you that if you read Lust you will be hooked!
Gluttony or Gods story is so good you get the feeling of how he is the way he is because of how his father acts and is. The elite are really pushing them all now with Lilian getting worse every time a task is called upon. Gods story is one of wealth of having everything he wants when he wants in turn he starts using this to help his brothers out as most aren’t as well of as him and have his fathers influence to back it up. This is a fantastic series that will have you hooked and waiting impatiently for the next story to be released.
This book was fantastic! I loved God and Zemira’s story. There was something so intriguing about seeing God’s story unfold. Because as we know from the other books, he seems like this spoiled rich kid who can have anything he wants and takes what he wants. But, we learn he is so much more. We get to see God’s vulnerable side, the real God underneath all of pretense, glitz and glam.
And Zemira, this beautiful soul of a woman. A woman who though struggles to make ends meet on her own and has no family, sees the positive in everything. Is content with the little she has and is thankful for it.
When God and Zemira are together sparks crackle and burn. They each bring out another side of the other and together they are pure magic!
Loved this story!!
And once again K. Webster reminds us why she is one of the best authors ever. She gives you so much passion in these pages. It’s more than what I expected of God. She completely and utterly makes you fall in love.
Zemira is the ying to God’s yang. They are the complete opposite but perfectly fit together in every way. She is probably my favorite character so far of the females.
Gluttony is, hands down, my favorite book of this series, so far. It has been the only one that seemed to have any growth arc for the characters, while still moving The Elite plotline forward. After the bizarre interlude that was Envy, I wasn’t sure if the series could be redeemed, but Gluttony showed me this series might yet be redeemed. I’m desperately hoping the final two books will live up to the heightened standard Gluttony has set for me.
When this series started off and until I started Gluttony, I found Baxter ‘God’ Goddard V to be the most unlikable of all the characters – and that’s saying something considering how vile Envy turned out to be. He surprised me from the start once I finally got to see what was going on in his head. I knew his less than ideal home life had screwed him up, but I had no idea to what extent the boy had been suffering. It was no excuse for the choices he was making, but it made the attention he was seeking much easier to understand.
Zemira was not only the catalyst for God’s path to healing; she was also the guide. I wasn’t sure how Ms. Webster was going to redeem God for what he’d done to Zemira, but I was wholly content with how he’d changed and adapted from the insolent boy he’d been before the accident to the thriving man Z deserved by the end of the book. God had to face a lot of unpleasant truths about himself, but with Zemira’s support, he tackled those issues head-on and overcame his inadequacies.
The progression of the boys’ place in the Elite was quite satisfying in Gluttony. I was so happy not to rehash all of the Elite events we’d already learned about in the first four books. Having God’s growth as a person begin to influence his stance on The Elite and his standing with the other guys was excellent. I loved seeing them begin to solidify their bond and stand-up to the status quo of the secret society. I love their feelings on what has been going on and can not wait to see how they put their plans into place as the series wraps up over the next two books.
I fell in love with God’s character in Lust and I have been gradually getting more excited for Gluttony the more of the series I read, plus the teasers have just been dope! The struggle was real when I couldn’t read it the moment I got it and then when I was actually free to get into it, I just needed a tiny break because I read pretty much nonstop for a week and even though I really wanted to, I had no motivation to pick up anything. Gluttony released on that day and let me tell you, it was on my mind so much that I actually had a nightmare that everyone had read it and they were all telling me that it was horrible, and I was freaking out and in total disbelief because there’s no way that could be true. Suffice it to say, I was just like, “No.” and I read it as soon as I could and — It. Was. FABULOUS!
My nightmare was nowhere near correct, Gluttony was so much more and better than I was expecting — I loved, loved, loved it! There’s a whole different side to God that we haven’t seen and he made my heart ache and I fell even more in love with him. He’s definitely a troublemaker, but he’s so sweet, loyal, and he really is a good guy and when he needs to be brought down, his ladylove, Zemira, has got that down pat! She’s strong, a boss, and she keeps him in line. I just loved God and Zemira and their story!
Gluttony was a little heartbreaking and surprising, it melted my heart and kept me completely invested and looking forward to whatever was going to happen next. It was a truly worthy addition to this series and I CANNOT wait for Sloth’s book next! I need me some Rush Dempsey now!
Good Lord have mercy that man has stolen the top book boyfriend in my life. Author K Webster, well done, lovie. Well done.
There wasn’t as much intrigue or action in this book as the others, but the emotional turmoil, the FEELS…
Need more.
God and Gluttony! So good together. I’ve been wanting for God’s story since I fell in love with him in Lust. The over-spoiled, uber Richie rich guy that stands by his friends and Elite brothers in all things. If Sloth can’t get it done then Gluttony can with his connections and money. When his task goes very wrong he learns that money’s not everything. I hate to say it but this is not what I wanted for God’s story. I didn’t get that he was an angsty, emotional guy full of despair over his bad deeds. We do learn that he has his demons and his character growth is good to see even if it comes at someone else’s expense. His first encounter with Zemira is killer and intense to say the least. She is a great heroine and helped God find a new side of himself. I liked the simultaneous storylines for all the brothers that gives us a different view and some behind the scenes maneuvering that’s going on. The brotherhood with this class of the Elite is terrific. Great writing from one of my favorite authors that’s suspenseful, harsh, intriguing, with a lovely romance with some heat. Also, a few new clues as to the real power behind the Elite. Still a lot of questions about the Elite, the villains, and this class of seven. Can’t wait for Sloth’s story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
GLUTTONY is the most perfect word to describe which sin rules in my world today…. I want to devour this book again, without any regrets… I want to be God, and I want to be his meal…. I want to be his everything.
GLUTTONY seduced me as much as other books in this series have done it already. From the beginning I was sure, that another book take me on rollecoster ride with 7 sinfully Young men, who owned my bookish soul and heart. Maybe every book has different author, but they are perfectly ONE whole story.
Since book no 1 I was very curious about God and his task, about what made him join this Sinfull Club. I was sure he will be strong, that in some way he will be just young bad boy, who wants only to eat women’s…. hearts. Well he’s done it obviously, till Miss Z showed up. She turned his world up and down at least 4 times, I think ??? I didn’t excpect this kind of Girl, just as much as God… Their love story is written in the best K Webster style. I liked every book in this series, but now I can tell that GLUTTONY is my favorite one in Elite Seven.
I’m waiting impatiently, what another books will bring for this boys and their lifes….. and how much their sins and The Club will change them in a matter of time.
Absolutely must read!

If you have not started reading this series yet, you need to!!. The sin of Gluttony is book five in The Elite Seven series. It is written by K. Webster and she has outdone herself.
I am in awe of all these authors that have written this brilliant series. Each book is a different sin by a different person entering the Elite. You need to read the books in order to understand the story line and the magnitude of the story. There are only two more books to go and I am dying. Some questions have been answered but more questions have risen. Oh, there is a moment of “NO WAY, that did not just happen” and yep Ms. Webster did that!!!!
Gluttony is the sin of habitual greed or excess in eating. I never knew that until I looked it up.
GOD, aka Baxter Samuel Goddard V. felt like he should have been Pride and boy is he wrong. Ms. Webster stuck him with Gluttony time and time again throughout this story. Without giving anything away, she made a simple task for him that turned in the most horrible way and the little side story lines, holy smokes!!! Sometimes it’s all about the little details and this story has them ten-fold. The old saying you’re a glutton for punishment has never been truer. GOD is a glutton for punishment.
What I loved about this one is that Ms. Webster kicked it up a notch. The previous stories had huge lead ups to the task and the road down of the other side was shorter. This story starts off with a bang and then brings it back around. Maybe it was the wrap up for some parts of the story or maybe the conclusion coming closer to the end, but this one had a different feel to it which was very welcomed.
Can’t wait for Sloth.
Gluttony by K. Webster is the fifth book in The Elite Seven Series. The fourth book, Envy, left me on the edge of my seat harboring a great deal of hatred toward Sebastian “Envy” Westbook. Guess what? I am still on the edge of my seat regarding some of the issues that came up. I’d love to tell you to grab your coffee while we chat about Gluttony but in all reality…The Elite Seven Series really makes me want to drink whiskey.
Gluttony is the story of Baxter Samuel Goddard, V. His father is simply called Four but Baxter, well, he’s God. Four weighs in around four hundred pounds and has taught his son unhealthy eating habits so the first thing that we learn about God is that his desire to not be like his father has lead to some very unhealthy habits. The Goddards come from a long line of jerks but they own Goddard Oil and Gas which has made them the third richest family in the world. Money talks but the Goddard name screams and provides God with an unlimited supply of get-out-of-jail-free cards.
(Side note: It’s really too bad that Lillian, remember how much I HATED her from Pride, has used all of her GOOJF cards. She gets exactly what she deserves in Gluttony!)
I should not like God and I don’t think that I did in the previous books. He’s a cocky, egotistical jerk but he also takes care of his friends. Rhett is his best friend and you can find a human with a heart when you look closely at God. Rhett is the only reason that God has agreed to join The Elite. Rhett is the only reason that God agreed to complete his task…a task that almost takes the life of a young woman and will forever change the course of God’s life.
Finally, I found an HEA!!!! It’s a little rough getting there but I really think that God and Zemira are a great couple. Zemeria sees God for he really is and wants nothing more than to help him heal even though she should probably hate him. Because of Zemira, God sees life as precious and wants nothing more than to be the kind of man that she deserves. I still have lots of unanswered questions about events in this series so I am anxiously awaiting the release of the final two books. I give Gluttony by K. Webster 5 out of 5 propellers!
OMG!! K. Webster has done it again. She gave us an angsty story and showed us all that you dont have to have money to have it all.. Let me tell you, I had to read it in one standing and i loved it. We finally got some of the answers that we needed. GOd was lost and fighting his own battles til Zemira came into view, and lets say she made him see things different. You will have to read the story to know more without giving out spoilers for sure…
I had faith and was not disappointed with Kristi’s talent to bring The Elite Seven back on track with the most epic, intense and addictive story of Gluttony . The story presented a well balance between God’s personal growth and romance with Zamira and the backstory of the cruel initiation to the secretive and disturbing world of the Elite Seven. It was amazing and breath-taking and I’ve devoured the book in within a day.
God truly lived up to his sin of Gluttony. He was used to the excess of everything in his life; however, deep down he was empty and lonely. Even though what brought God and Zemira together was tragic and painful, I was glad that they found one another. God was a good person who just didn’t have a good example to show him how to love and be loved. I admired Zemira’s strength and genuineness. She is not afraid to go toe to toe with God and she was the rock that God leaned on when he was fighting his demons. I was so moved to see how they help each other and evolved together to become a better person because of each other.
We were finally moving along on the road to the Elite Seven initiation. Some powerful players demonstrated the depth and the command of the web of the Elite Seven’s connections and influence. There was a shocking and gruesome scene in the story which I didn’t see coming so early in the plot. I was delighted to see the boys united and formed a brotherhood with a similar understanding and vision. The new Elite initiate had big plans and we saw a glimpse of the future at the end of the book. There were still some missing pieces that needed to be addressed in between. I cannot wait to see the journey to the success of their mission in the last two books of the series.
Note: This is not a standalone. The series needs to be read in order.
I received an advance reviewer copy of the book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
