From USA Today Bestselling Author K Webster comes an enemies-to-lovers, angsty college romance in the intense, page-turning Elite Seven series! My life has been served to me on a gold platter to be devoured by my silver spoon. Money, money, and more money. It’s the backbone of the Goddard name. I’m the only son, so it’s all mine for the taking. But sometimes money isn’t enough. I always want …
But sometimes money isn’t enough. I always want more, yet nothing seems to satisfy me.
My father has made sure I become a part of The Elite Seven. Where most candidates are chosen, I was given my place. Everything comes at a price, though. Luckily, I can afford any price—no one has more money than God.
The Elite Seven have their initiations. My task is personal and beneath me—steal a car and send a warning. It’ll hurt my best friend in the process, but we both made a pact going into this. There’s no line we won’t cross.
My task makes an ugly turn and I nearly take a life. Such a small, unimportant person. Someone no one would even notice if she were gone. She’s a problem my money, and now power, can easily sweep under the rug.
It’s what my father wants. It’s what my brothers in The Elite Seven want. Yet when she finally opens those big, innocent brown eyes, I realize I’ve found what I’ve been searching for my entire life. I don’t want my little problem to disappear…I want to keep her.
Money is my legacy, but I want something money can’t buy.
I am Baxter Samuel Goddard, V.
I am Gluttony.

FINALLY! A book worthy of (almost) 5-Stars. I have been barely hanging on with this series. What started out promising had gone all pear-shaped. With this book K Webster has given me hope it will wrap up on a high note.
This was certainly the best book of the series so far. It was on the longer side. We had minimal repetition. It moved the story forward. Although I felt the Elite (task) part took a backseat to the romance. That wasn’t a bad thing as the rest of the books fell short in that regard, so it was a welcome change of pace to actually get a romance that had meat to it. The overall plot and characters also fit the sin of GLUTTONY perfectly. The plot itself also had depth. God’s character was well developed. Zemira was probably the most developed (and likable) heroine of the series. It had some heat. No OW drama, but unfortunately (for me) there was still an OW sex scene. I thought it was pretty pointless, but then again, I’ve thought ALL the OW sex scenes in this series have been pointless and gratuitous. That said, at least in this one it happened right at the start and weeks before he meets the heroine. Last, it wrapped up in a rather sweet ending that “I” loved, but was maybe a bit weird considering the overall tone of the series.
I’ve been dying to know Gluttony. I thought he’d be another poor little rich boy, petulant and entitled, and maybe his story would have a weird twist like the others. But his story was so much more than what I expected. God had it all – money, good looks, material goods – and his life was made. But God was living in pain. He was insecure and full of self-hatred and the lengths he went to in order to deal with his issues made my heart hurt. He was selfish… and then he wasn’t. This story was all about God’s growth as a person and the most horrific event that ended up changing his life for the better.
I loved this story! Webster gave me what I’ve been praying for. I even got a huge glimpse into Sloth’s character and I’m excited to see what he’s all about. Shoot, I’ve been intrigued by the guy who always finds a way to be there when people need him. He’s connected in ways I can’t even begin to understand and I’m excited to learn what makes him tick.
Is that a bird? A plane? Nope, that’s K Webster hitting this shit right out the damn park!!
We all know the issues with this series. We know that it’s kinda gone off the rails. Well, K Webster put that bitch back on the track!
Huzzah! This one is definitely my favorite in this series so far! I really wished that rest of this series went in this direction. I loved the balance of the romance AND The Elite. More of the game is revealed since all of the boys are simply pawns in this completely messed up situation. And it’s looking like the boys finally have the upper hand … for now.
With this being my first K. Webster book, she definitely brought a whole different element to this series. This series so far has had it’s ups and downs and it seems to finally be going on the path that I was hoping for from the very beginning. I so, sooooo appreciated that we didn’t get another re-hash of what happens during the time they’re all picked to be a part of The Elite.
Naturally, there’s more crazy sh*t happening in this one and God’s task is just … I have no words for how things went down. And just how backwards the start of his relationship came to be with Zemira. But alas, it’s fiction and it’s what to be expected with this kind of read, so let’s not be surprised.
God and Zemira’s character were so well-developed and I believe a huge part of that is that this book was longer, which gave them more time to show who they really are. I couldn’t put Gluttony down, it was absolutely fitting to God’s character and the story just made sense.
Tables are turning in this one, more truths are coming, along with even more questions! And now more than ever, I am 100% intrigued with Sloth. There is so much more to him than what we’ve seen and I can’t wait to get down to it.
We have two more sins to get through before we learn the end game! I still have no idea what’s going to happen, but K. Webster brought the story line back on track. And I hope it stays this way until the end.
major thank you to the author for the complimentary copy in consideration for a review. this does not affect my opinion of the book or review.

“For the boy who has everything, what’s a little more?”
After reading the first 4 books in this series, I could not WAIT to get my hands on God’s story, Gluttony, written by K. Webster. God piqued my interest in LUST, and more with each subsequent book. Each sin gives us another seductively deviant hero, all messed up in their own way. God though…he’s perfectly flawed and completely different from his brothers. Author K. Webster gives us a character that is confident yet self conscious, rich yet poor, untouchable yet broken down. When the task given by the Elite brings consequences God never could have anticipated,he finds his entire world shook, and on its axis. The one thing he thought he’d never want, is now the one thing he needs, and possibly the one thing he can’t have.
I loved Gluttony. I felt like the way this book could have gone was too obvious, and was pleasantly surprised with the direction this story took. I love the angle this series is taking, and can’t wait to see these boys bring down the Elite!

5 Gluttony Stars from meeee!!!
GLUTTONY by K.Webster is book 5 in The Elite Seven Series. This is the story of Baxter Goddard and Zemira Coleman. Reading the series I think helps to fully enjoy each book since there is a underlining story, but with that said this can be a standalone book. Goddard father is rich who throws money at everything and most of the time at Goddard getting him out and into things. Right now Goddard father is getting him into The Elite Seven Society and is given a task to complete by the group. Goddard must still his best friend’s mother car and total it as a message to her. Goddard has to get junked up to do it but when he does it he ends up hitting Zemira. Zemira is a orphaned who is working and going to school to get ahead. Goddard feels remorse for hitting her and feels something else for her too. But will he stand up for her to his father and choose her?
I am such a fan of Ms. Webster’s writing…she is a must read author for me.
Phenomenal!
K.Webster got this series back on track and it brow it out of the water! God is everything!
Gluttony is without a doubt remarkable and enthralling.
Gluttony aka God was born to be Elite, raised to have everything his little heart desires at the mere click of his fingers he is the living embodiment of excess. When his task is so simple he feels cheated so in usual style adds a little flair. Unfortunately his actions have consequences that even a God can’t undo and so begins the evolution of a self made idol.
The story takes an even darker turn as the Elite show their true colors and the lengths they are willing to go to to guard their secrets and keep a tight reign on the Elite.
Gluttony focused less on the sin and more on a story, one that let us get into the mind of Baxter Samuel Goddard, V. We learn of his struggles and his demons, most importantly we see him become a better man then he once as. And that is all thanks to the help of a spitfire woman names Zemira.
The man he becomes is one of my favorites so far in this series and I loved how he used his nature to win the battles he fights and I hope he eventually wins the war once and for all. Zemira is my favorite sassy leading lady, her compassion and strength shine throughout and she is the perfect half to complete him.
“Money is my legacy, but I want something money can’t buy. I am Baxter Samuel Goddard V. I am GLUTTONY”
Gluttony, is exactly why this series is my new obsession!
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Baxter “God” Goddard may be privileged but that doesn’t mean he’s happy. It also doesn’t mean that he won’t stop letting the reader know what he has and how much he cares what other people think. Zemira Coleman is a hardworking student. What I liked about what the author did here was that Zemira has a voice and our author lets her express her feelings.
The author creates a situation that just may have been a wake up call for God. I knew I was going to get hooked and that scene solidified my fate. I found his perspective on things to be interesting and had me taking another look at a character that I had labeled as a “spoiled little rich kid” – looks can be deceiving.
I was actually glad to see that Lillian, don’t boo me, still has a part in these stories. I’m just waiting for the day… She’s important to this group because she helps to move things along. But power can go to someone’s head and then they start to make mistakes.
One thing these books seem to have in common is that the parents always seem to let their children down. It’s almost like the children are an afterthought. They are a need because someone has to carry on the family name and all that goes along with it. But our author stepped up her game by adding in a disorder that’s rarely talked about and certainly wouldn’t have pictured here but it did make sense.
This was a great way to showcase the author’s creativity. She brought a voice to something that is rarely seen plus you always assume its gender specific. One other thing she seemed to show is that God seems to find his humanity. This is more about an individual in the Elite Seven as opposed to the group as a whole – what makes him perfect for his sin. Our author is very clever because her ending left me saying “what the…!” I’m so ready for my next sin and to read more work by this author.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
What a helluva book and definitely one that I couldn’t put down. This is book 5 in The Elite Seven series and each book that I’ve read keeps getting better and better.
Money, money, and more money. It’s the backbone of the Goddard name. I’m the only son, so it’s all mine for the taking.
This is the story of Baxter Samuel Goddard, V also known as God or Gluttony it seems he can never get his fill yet he doesn’t want to turn out like his father, so he puts on this facade to his friend’s and brother’s he’s always been looking for something he just didn’t know what, but it took 1 mistake for him to figure it out.
This book was so good from K Webster I’ve read several of her book’s and this lady’s talents have no bounds the way she tells a story it draws you in and has you hanging onto each and every word every emotion the characters go through.
This is definitely a must read each one interconnects to the other. I can’t wait to get my hand’s on #6 Sloth and see what happens next.
This is my opinion and my review
Omg! I mean GOD! I loved the twisted task and the way God was so loyal to his best friend. He’s all sorts of messed up and has never faced the consequences of his actions before. Zamira is such a sweet wake up call. I loved her backbone and strength. With these two paired up, the sky was the limit! So many good and bad things happen in this story and I devoured every page. This is a fast pace series and sucks you in by the marrow of your bones. I need more…so much more!
***5 ‘God Works In Mysterious Ways’ Stars***
So. Damn. Good!!
Not that I’m really all that surprised, I am a #fangirl of the author afterall, but this one gave me all the goodness! It still had that chaotic crazy vibe that has defined this series thus far, but I got the the swoons…Yes, the swoons, BIG time and was quite unhappy when my time with God and Z was over.
God was the one who grabbed my attention from the very beginning. The need to get into his head and find out what made him tick was so strong because I knew there was so much more to him in how he interacted with everyone and I was proven right! This man is a GOOD man. Yes, he has more money than he knows what to do with and the power his last name holds ~ and which he has to issue wielding ~ is insane (which makes calling him God quite appropriate) but to finally see beneath it and watch him evolve…well, lets just say I simply ADORE him. And then there is Z. I adored her. She is sweet, sassy and has a good, genuine heart and has this strength that comes out in her actions and will to live and become more than her past.
To say their journey to their HEA had a rocky start is an understatement, considering God was behind the wheel of the vehicle that hit Z, but that started a series of events that not only placed them firmly in each others lives, but changed them in ways neither could have imagined and I loved every minute of it. I swooned and melted as God became the the protective alpha AF male for Z and couldn’t help but smile and sigh as Z stood her ground all the while becoming not only the rock God didn’t know he needed, but also his safe place to land. The smexy between was sensuous and sweet and where they ended up was perfect!
As I said in the beginning, this series has its own brand of chaotic and crazy and Gluttony was no different, because there were a couple of things that even had me going “Whoa” but it also brings other things under a semblance of control and gives a glimpse of where the conclusion of certain issues and situations may be headed…may be. And as for the rest of the Seven, I really enjoyed watching as they became a little more of a cohesive unit, there are still issues, but we get to see more of a brotherhood forming between them all, and while God has been my favorite, Rush aka Sloth hasn’t been too far behind and I cannot wait to get my hands on his book…thankfully I won’t have to wait too much longer!
Note: This is not a standalone. The series needs to be read in order.

I was most excited about this book for it being K. Webster’s, but I was least excited about God’s story. My goodness! It’s one of the best yet!
God is excessive and whatever he wants, he gets. His task is to steal Lust’s mom’s car. He does, but while he’s driving it fast, he hits bystander Zemira, hardworking, poor, scholarship girl. He undergoes surgery for mass head injuries and remains in a coma. While the Elite are ready to sweep her under the rug, even pull the plug to make it convenient for them, God is not. What starts as guilt soon turns to more. I loved his attentiveness toward her, and once she woke up, it only bloomed from there. While they had a rocky start, I loved their relationship. He uses his money to spoil her which she puts the brakes on, but it is a wonderful gesture that shows that while money is all he really knows, he can use it for good. I was a puddle of goo at knowing that he paid the building to try to clean it up and took care of her apartment.
While Z is the one injured, she isn’t the only broken one. All that money and excess created something deeper and darker in God: an eating disorder. Z spots it quickly and with her love, they overcome it together. The big strong God is embarrassed at first, but soon he is eating healthy. Overall their relationship is cute, and well-balanced in my opinion. They are what each other needs and while they had a rough way of finding each other, hitting her was the best thing possible. I didn’t think this series would have a sweet romance but it did and it was this one! So heart warming.
Additionally, the witch finally gets an ending. So happy about that. I’m also liking that as books go on, we’re reading more about the present story and less about what got them into the group. More so, the initiation is barely mentioned, and the stuff with the dead father is barely shown anymore. In previous books, we read a lot of the same scenes over and over because the tasks were back to back. Now that we have moved into the other guys’s tasks, the first few stories are closed and we’re getting more of their story and the present tale. For example, this gave more into the Envy and Sabella situation. I am so interested to see how that fully plays out.
Baxter Samuel Goddard V, or God to his friends has been given life on a silver platter. His father is one of the richest men in the world an has made sure that everything is in excess. This also means that he was able to buy God into The Elite, the controlling secret society in New Orleans. God takes on The Elite mostly for his best friend, Rhett so they can be members together. However, the task that God has been given will directly impact Rhett and their friendship. God completes his task for The Elite, but also injures a young woman in the process. Even though God’s dad takes care of any consequences for the snafu, God feels terrible for ruining the life of the woman and stays by her side throughout her recovery. Zemira is horrified that the man who hurt her is there when she wakes up; but, he is helpful and the only one she has. As she recovers, Zemira discovers that maybe all Gluttony needed was a little lesson in temperance.
Gluttony is the fifth book in The Elite Seven Series and things are getting really good now. I would definitely read the other four books beforehand since a lot of plot points are beginning to come together in this book. I actually really liked God’s character, he was flawed and he knew it and his worst fear was becomming his father. Though it seemed wrong, I really enjoyed the progression and romance between God and Zemira. I was well paced and surprisingly respectful. They turned out to be exactly what each other needed. Gluttony moves the plot along at a good pace as well. I was glad to find out more about Lillian’s situation and see what her consequences were to her scheming. Wrath’s story is also continued and it looks like there might be some closure for Sabella and some ramifications for Envy. The ending seems to signify that some change is coming with this class of The Elite and I definitely want to jump into the next two books soon
We meet Baxter Samuel Goddard V, nicknamed God. He’s part of a secret society called The Elite.
People are chosen and named after the seven deadly sins. God is Gluttony. He and Rhett ( Pride) have been friends for years. God went with Rhett when he got his task but Rhett stood him up to have sex with some girl. God got his task.
This book was so freaking twisty and amazing. I absolutely love the fact that God helped Zemira and fell in love with her. I’m also so excited that Lillian got what she deserved. I highly recommend this series. Can’t wait to dive into Sloth.
This book had a depth right from the start that was even more intense than the previous books in the series. God had a mix of thoughts and emotions coursing through him constantly that held me rapt from page to page.
The blend of this story with the others was masterfully done and continued to build on the previous books in a phenomenal way. I was entertained and yet always moving forward in the series and wanting more.
As I neared the end, there were so many shocking developments that I couldn’t wait to learn more about.
This series has been incredible from the beginning. Each and every one of these authors has done an amazing job writing their own story and linking it to the series as a whole.
I totally loved God!! Great writing! HEA! A lot more revealed during this book and can’t wait to jump right in to the next one!
4.5 stars
Absolutely loved this book, it’s by far my favorite in the Elite Seven Series. This was the first book that seemed to be more of a romance rather than mostly being about the series. That being said, there was plenty that happened in the overarching storyline. Things did feel a little bit rushed, time kept jumping forward, but it worked. I can’t wait to see what’s coming up next.
The boys are coming together to face their sins and to come up with a plan to be able to right some wrongs. Of all the characters in this series I have to say that my heart went out to God and all that he had to go through in his life. It was good to see that he was able to ind a goof strong female that would stand by his side and help him get things right.
Oh my God, GOD! I loved this book so much! K Webster has managed to bring more details and layers to this series and I am totally addicted. The characters in this book were awesome. I loved reading God’s story with Zemira. And I loved how at the beginning, he was the cause of all her problems, essentially ruining her life, and then he totally redeemed himself as a protector, provider, and lover. I also loved how it explored God’s own mental disorder and how Zemira helped heal him. They were perfect for each other. Nobody packs so much story into a book like K Webster does! Can’t wait for more of this series!
K. Webster delivered an enthralling installment featuring a lead character who embodied his assigned sin and was more complex than expected, confronted unexpected matters within a secret society and established a relationship that flourished and bloomed. Gluttony maintained a perfect balance of romance and intrigue, furthering the story-line surrounding the Elite Seven without disrupting the momentum or disregarding the burgeoning relationship between God and Zemira.
“I hate how we got here, but I’m not hating that we’re here.”
I assumed nothing more than some entitled, self-absorbed and conceited asshole in Baxter Goddard, but his character captured my attention, leaving me riveted and captivated. Hidden complexity is waiting to be discovered beneath his superficial over-indulgent and materialistic personality, an undeniable pleasant surprise that made this story great. Brimming with self-hatred and intense insecurity, God expressed selfishness and selflessness in equal measure. But, Gluttony goes beyond this—it focuses on God’s growth as he traverses the ramifications of destroying someone’s life… almost.
“Zemira is in my blood, in my veins, in my soul.
Burning through me like lava—hot and explosive. Changing me. Evolving me. Hiding the ugly parts and molding me into something new.
I yearn to be new and whole and better.
I crave to transform into someone a girl like Zemira deserves.”
Zemira Coleman is perhaps my favourite heroine in this series. Despite the hardships she has experienced, Zemira’s strength, outlook and philosophies are awe-inspiring. Her kindness and stability manage to balance God’s chaotic, perturbed life, the perfect counter and lesson that exhibits there’s more to life than money and power. She’s also, quite easily, the only developed character within this series. Unorthodox, though somewhat romantic—perhaps because it is the only developed romance in this series—God and Zemira have a connection that is unique and refreshing as they inspire and support each other through difficult situations.
“Me, the girl with nothing, gave the man with everything something worth having: love.”
Gluttony transcended my expectations, showcasing what this series should have achieved. K. Webster’s writing is fantastic, a combination of compelling and enthralling, as she balances the romance and darkness within a shorter format without wavering. Shame we needed to wait five sequels to have this moment.
