Two people scarred by past trauma have a chance to write a new chapter in their lives, overcome loss, and find love in the third entry in the Madison River Romance series.Screenwriter Cecilia “Blue” Walker is victim to life’s worst plot twists. Having lost her daughter to the depths of the Madison River and her husband to the arms of another woman, she finds herself yearning for something to … something to restore her brittle faith and once-vibrant career.
Hope arrives in the form of her childhood friend, Thomas Beck, a firefighter with a legacy of larger-than-life rescues who doesn’t see himself as a hero. Haunted by his past, Thomas only agrees to a movie adaptation of his story if Blue, his longtime crush, is the screenwriter.
However, as Blue and Thomas work together to bring his heroism to the big screen, the glitz and glamour of Hollywood threaten to shed light on secrets that could tear their fragile relationship and their lives apart.

Blue and Thomas’s story is one that is a satisfying conclusion to the Madison River Romance series, but you will not want to say goodbye to these characters! From the first page, Rosche hooks you and creates a heartfelt connection to the relationship between her protagonists. This is a multi-layered story with topics such as trauma, abuse and the loss of a child, so I would not call it a fluffy romance.
I loved the fact that not only was I transported again to the amazing state of Montana with a setting so lovely you feel like you’re there! Add in characters who were both haunted and ready to overcome past traumas, and you’ve got a winner of a novel. (It was also great to see Thomas finally find love!)
Rosche has a style that is easily relatable and filled with hope. She doesn’t glaze over tough topics, yet meets them head on with grace, humor and second chances. This is the third book of hers that I have read, and my new goal is to seek out her prior work.
I was an early reader, thanks to the publisher. All opinions are my own. (less
This book has all the feels!! I am a total sucker for the friends to more romance trope so this story was perfect for me. It probably has to do with my own age and life experience, but I appreciated that Cecilia and Thomas had done some living and yet still found their way back to each other. As Janine Rosche has shown throughout this entire series, her books take readers on a rollercoaster of emotions. You might be laughing at some banter between the characters one minute and then be totally heartbroken for them the next. She is not afraid to tackle tough issues in her books like the loss of a child, growing up in a dysfunctional family, or infidelity. However, she handles all of these situations well.
I have adored each book in the series, but this just might be my favorite. I loved Robbie and Shane, but Thomas is in a hero category all his own. I suppose Glory Falls could be read as a standalone, but you would be missing out on the the other couples stories from the first two books. Having read the others in the series, I appreciated the updates on all of their lives so much more. Although I was sad to see the series end, I am looking forward to Janine Rosche’s next series which releases later this year.
I was given a copy of this book by the author and publisher. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
Oh, the frog scene!!!
My rating is 4.5 stars
Blue and Thomas had the sweetest relationship as children!! I loved the way she did all she could to distract him from the disaster that his parents were and the way he would do anything for her. Even kiss a frog… Her propensity to write scripts for him to act out was very cute!
I really enjoyed Glory Falls. The split-timeline was perfect for revealing events from the past little by little. Thomas’ adorable dog, Molly, lightened the more serious thread which was further offset by sweet, romantic moments. Thomas was so amusing with his very serious nature and naiveté regarding relationships and even about flirting! He was a hero, even before his guilt began to drive him to take greater risks to ensure that no one was injured on his watch again! I loved that even though he carried a great weight of guilt, he continued to keep his eyes on the Lord and never wavered in his faith.
Twists in the plot had me surprised and I really didn’t see the ending coming. Or that other part. Or the other one…
I have been enjoying the Madison River Romance series and have come to love the people of the little town there. It was fun seeing characters I have already gotten to know and meeting some new ones. While Glory Falls stands alone, enhance your reading of it by starting with the first two books of the series.

I’ve loved Janine Rosche’s Madison River Romance series set in the beautiful Madison River area of Montana—one of my favorite places. Glory Falls is the third and final book in the series, and what a fantastic story it is! The main characters, Thomas Beck and Cecelia “Blue” Walker are realistically-flawed, hurting, and so relatable that it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with them. Best friends since they were preschoolers, they had a lot of background together, and it was such fun for them to have their second chance and to see their relationship grow. I enjoyed revisiting some of the characters from the first two books and catching up on their lives.
This beautifully written, heart-wrenching story will take you on a journey of forgiveness, healing, and hope. Although it is part of a series, it can be read alone. I’m looking forward to more stories from this talented author. 4.5 stars
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy from the author/publisher. All opinions are my own.
I am sad to see this series end as I’ve enjoyed getting cameos from the first two books and have fallen in love with this small town of West Yellowstone. But the third books in a series are always my favorite when the hero or heroine have appeared all along. We finally get the full Thomas story in this friends-to-more romance, and it does not disappoint! Grief and guilt meet God’s heart for redemption and freedom. What a powerful story! Five stars!
Glory Falls is the heart-wrenching, soul-touching conclusion of the fabulous Madison River Romance series. Thomas and Blue’s love is inspiring.
I highly recommend this series. Janine Rosche’s stories will stay with you long after the last word has been read.
I received an advance copy and all opinions are my own.
Glory Falls is a wonderful conclusion to an amazing series! I can gush on and on about this story but I fear you’d lose interest after my twenty-paragraph spiel on how swoony Thomas is. So I’ll stick to my main fangirl points. Well, I’ll give it my best effort. One thing I love about this author’s writing is that she’s not afraid to delve into delicate topics. In this case, the heroine, Blue Walker, copes with child loss. While this subject is a heavy one, its couched in lighter scenes and blissful moments that encourage the reader to both process the pain as well as breathe in the healing right along with the heroine. The approach was beautiful and necessary.
Thomas time! We get glimpses of the hero, Thomas Beck, in the first two books in this series, but in Glory Falls, he takes center stage. Though if you read this story, you will discover Thomas is NOT a “center stage” kinda guy. He shies from the spotlight and would rather aim the focus on anyone but himself. But with his selfless attitude, drive to do what’s right, and penchant to get into dangerous situations, the guy can’t help but attract attention. He’s the strong silent type with a loyal heart. Basically everything I love in a hero! Also I gotta say that this story features one of my FAVORITE tropes – the best friends to more!
Blue Walker has been through tragedy after tragedy and my heart tore for her from the very first chapter. I wanted her to find happiness beyond her own guilt and feelings of inadequacy. I adored all the heroines in this series, but I could relate the most to Blue. I was nodding my head while reading her internal struggles and fears. Make sure you have tissues close, because her “awakening” moment made me tear up! Which leads me to my next gushing point – THE EMOTIONS!
Seriously, my emotions were all over the place with this story! One minute I’m snort-laughing and the very next I’m wistfully sighing. Hello, Swoony Thomas kissing scene!!!! Umm yeah, where was I? Oh, and I need to mention all the fabulous nods to classic movies! The Singing in the Rain reenactment! George Bailey references! Shout outs to It Happened One Night. Seriously, my vintage-film-loving heart was elated!
Last thing, I promise. The cast of characters! The author had written this series in such a way that I felt I was right there with them at Ollie’s. Scrunching my nose at Robbie and Keira’s excessive PDA. Laughing at Ryann’s quips. Smiling at the sibling banter. I’m really going to miss this bunch!
But I have total trust in this author’s amazing ability to introduce me to a new crew in her next series that I am convinced I’ll adore just as much!

This book was so good! It’s a beautifully written story about second chances and forgiveness. The author brings the story to life with her words, you can see the beautiful scenery and feel all the emotions. Once you start reading this book you won’t be able to put it down. Thank you Berkley Publishing Group and Janine Rosche via Netgalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
A wonderful tale of overcoming loss and finding a second chance at love. Filled with beautiful scenery and characters who pull at your heartstrings, Glory Falls is a book that readers of contemporary romance will love. What a fabulous ending to the Madison River series. Readers will not want to say goodbye to these characters.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author/publisher and was not required to leave a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.
Thomas Beck is a hero. Well, at least according to those who knew him. This man was a steady presence in both of the previous Madison River romances. He was the one who looked out for his friends and fought for the underdog. Yet something seemed to be lacking in his life – a certain spark. That person is Blue.
Cecilia “Blue” was his childhood best friend. She always thought that maybe someday they could be more. But the timing seemed to be off. And now that she is nearing the end of her 20’s, there does not seem to be much hope. After all, she is still struggling from the weight of the loss of her daughter and a very public divorce. This impacted her career as well since she could not seem to find the words to keep writing more stories. Screenwriting seems impossible.
Then she is asked to write the story of her once best friend, Thomas. He is the one that continues to rescue others. He throws himself into impossible situations at the cost of his own safety. His willingness to sacrifice literally saves lives. She wonders what his motivation is.
This is a story about second chances. And about how to not hold ourselves responsible for situations that are beyond our control. And the realization that even though situations are difficult, God is still with us in the land of the living. Loved how that point was emphasized!
Memories of carefree childhood despite challenging circumstances. A community of people who support each other through both the sweet and struggling times. Long awaited romance. This was such a wonderful book – I could not stop reading it! (#BeckandBlue forever!) Janine Rosche knows how to tell a wonderful story. I will definitely continue to prioritize reading her books.
By the way, the author does provide enough background details that one could read it as a stand alone title, but I would read the other two books in the series first. (The prequel novella is also fun, but the characters do not really overlap very much.) Seeing Thomas finally get to tell his story is sweeter if one has come to know him a little bit in the other books. While the epilogue telling about how life had changed for the main characters a few years later helped the conclusion of the series to not seem so sudden, I was definitely still sad to have to “leave” Madison River.
I was provided a copy of this book from the author and publisher. I wanted to write a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
