Storm
I grew up on the wrong side of town with the wrong color skin and learning to fight ensured my survival. Now, the very thing that saved me threatens to destroy me as I get devastating news. When the beautiful cocktail waitress with sadness written all over her face ends up on my radar, I decide that my final act as a world-class MMA fighter will be to save her… but the real question is – who is saving who?
Glass Houses is intended for mature audiences and contains situations that may be inappropriate for readers under 18. The story is steamy and scandalous, but has a guaranteed happily ever after. If you like your fairy tales twisted, this is the book for you!
Trigger warning: Please note that there is a scene which may make survivors of sexual assault uncomfortable. Proceed with caution or skip the first chapter. Everything between the main character and the heroine is fully consensual and there is a guaranteed HEA.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Poppy has an abusive husband and she needs to get away. Storm is a fighter and is willing to protect Poppy, and things start to get heated.

This story has some triggers in it due to the domestic abuse and so some readers may find that tough to read. The author has done a great job to show the effects of domestic abuse but it’s not what the story is really about. It’s about an unlikely couple finding each other when they are both in need of each other. It’s a really interesting and engaging story.

Sometimes a Storm can give you sanctuary and safety
I enjoyed the story of Poppy and Storm. This modern day twist on the Alice in Wonderland story was interesting and well developed.
As with the previous books in this series Glass Houses is well written by Lux Miller.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Very enjoyable and entertaining new Fairly Twisted Tales story.
It’s a fun steamy twist to the Alice in Wonderland fairy tale.
Poppy and Storm are great with off the charts chemistry. Brad is a awful to Poppy! She deserves a Storm who will be good to her.
It’s quick read, story is well developed and have many twists and turns.

Love this series. I have read the last two and Lux Miller really brought this together. Poppy needed to have Brad have a small accident somewhere because violence is never okay against your spouse. Storm is a new introduction character that I found myself liking. I love Poppy and Storm w hen they get together and I would have loved a little more heat in this book but overall I was quite satisfied.

I loved this story as the rest of the series. The twisted series of the classics is a different way of reading and enjoying them.

I missed the second book in this series, so I jumped at the opportunity to read and review this one – a re-written and updated Alice in Wonderland. Poppy’s husband Brad is an abusive idiot, unconcerned about her other than he needs an heir. Storm, a MMA fighter, is caring and protective, so unlike Brad. This is a terrific book, so worth the time spent reading it. I’m amazed at the creativity of this author in her updating of classic tales.

3 1/2 Stars
A frustrating read as Poppy continued to stay with her awful awful husband Brad. He was truly detestable and sadly, Poppy was the typical abused female who had resigned herself to a life of hurt.
I loved the way Storm tried to be there for her and protect her. But Poppy kept going back to Brad despite his abhorrent treatment.
Storm was sweet and totally focused on Poppy and her welfare. He was just what she needed.

Wow these books keep getting better and better. Poppy is in an abusive marriage and doesn’t know how to get out! When she meets Storm she knows her life is going to change. Storm is caring and protective of Poppy even though he struggles with health issues. Great book that I would definitely recommend!

This is the third book in the series and is another well written really great read. We have met Poppy and her husband Brad in the previous book but Storm was a new character and I just loved him. If like me you have read and enjoyed the previous books in the series then you are not going to want to miss this one.
Poppy is living a nightmare with her husband but finds her knight in shining armor. The book is well written and makes you care about the characters.

I have really enjoyed reading each Glass story. Each one deals with a different set of characters that all intersect at some point.
In Glass Houses Poppy breaks my heart because she is so very sad and her sense of self worth is so diminished. While you think she should just pull up and leave you can at the same time sympathize with her because her husband has beaten her down so frequently and harshly. I really enjoyed how she outsmarted her husbands efforts to impregnate her. You go girl. When she meets Storm you know that things are going to get wet and wild. He is protective and caring and you don’t want to mess with him. Even with his health issues he protects Poppy.

I’ve just added another author to my list of favorites and now I have to read the previous books in the series. The narrative was written so well, I could picture everything happening as the story unfolded. Stormy and Poppy…just wow. She should have called her brothers to pay a visit to Brad the jerk (domestic violence is never cool), but he got his in the end. I hope there’s a story following to continue as things seem to be left in the air about the baby and divorce…
