RavenMy sister will do anything to pawn me off on someone else, including sending me to upstate New York to a horse farm. I can’t say I blame her, though. After barely surviving the car wreck that killed our single mom, Aspen and I have coped differently. She moved on with her husband and baby daughter. And I became my own worst enemy, trapped in my own head with the villain of my story. But … But despite my inner battle, Hunter refuses to give up on me. Can the New York cowboy save me from myself before it’s too late?
Hunter
Raven is an enigma. She’s brash, and vulgar, and completely out of control. But I’m drawn to her in a way I can’t explain. And there’s times where all I see in her eyes is innocence and it drives me to help her overcome the inner turmoil that threatens to destroy her. If I can survive her unpredictable moods and somehow show Raven that love is worth fighting for, we may stand a chance at defeating the villain in her head. And though I know it’s a battle I might lose, I’m willing to fight for her.

This is a unique and interesting story with some vivid characters including secondary ones. I was actually disappointed in Hunter’s meeting Queen the first time due to her level of consciousness and she. However I think he truly came to care for her as much as she did him. Good read!

Loved the book it was great the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Raven a broken woman can Hunter teach her to love again or is she still going to fight the demon that resides in her head. I love the adult fairytales, because you can grow up they just grow with you.

Glass Apples can be fragile but also very strong
Glass Apples by Lux Miller is a good reinvention or co-mingling with the outcome of an adult and twisted fairy tale. This is the second book in the Fairly Twisted Tales tales and as with the first book, Glass Ceilings, there is a well developed story with nice characters.
This is the story of Raven and Hunter. Raven is not alone but alone non the less. Her mother has died and her sister is busy with her new husband and baby. Raven has ended up in a deep pit that she cannot seem to crawl back out of. If anyone has suffered from depression at all or knows someone that has then this will touch you.
In to Raven’s life rides Hunter, a handsome sexy cowboy. He is able to see the lovely young woman that she is inside and tries to help her get that back. But the journey for Raven and Hunter is not smooth and will not be easy. They will have to fight together and separately to get a bite at the apple…………….hopefully it will not shatter but instead will be sweet and juicy.
